Pumpkineers - Many Happy Birthdays Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Crafters -

I'm so excited!!!

Tonight is my monthly Pumpkineers meeting. Those are the wonderful people who subscribe to Paper Pumpkin with me as their listed demonstrator. I also invite my team members to attend. We have a GREAT time!

Want to see a little sneak peek at what we will be making tonight? My Pumpkineers let me that they will be attending two days ahead of time, so I can cut the appropriate supplies for them. (We meet the fourth Tuesday of the month.) We typically make two to three items using our supplies, along with a few items from me, during the meeting.

Okay, have I kept you in suspense long enough?  :)

You can make a card into a cute little box -
complete with a full size chocolate bar!

First, this kit is perfect all by itself! How many times do we give a gift card and we pay at least $2.00 for something little to put the gift card in? And that is on the REALLY cheap end of what you can spend for gift card holders!

THIS kit is PERFECT because all you have to do is follow the directions on this kit and you have NINE (yuppers, 9!) candle pocket cards AND envelopes! And you make them! Everyone loves receiving something handmade - especially when it is from a friend!

Second, did you see the stamp set AND ink spots in this kit? There are "Happy," "Birthday," "Celebrate," "With Me," "To: From:," and even a "Pull" stamp, along with some designs and a few other words! Total of 13 different stamps! AND the ink spots are Flirty Flamingo (one of the 2016-2018 InColors) and Island Indigo - two great colors!

The coordinating Stampin'Up! Up! colors for this kit are Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Island Indigo, Night of Navy, and Pool Party! FYI - for the January kit, we received a Calypso Coral stampin' spot - so we could use THAT with this month's kit too! SCORE!

And finally, you are only limited by your imagination with this kit. Now, I gotta be honest with you. I didn't even OPEN my kit until Sunday, February 26th! (It's been a little hectic around here.) BUT I watched the Stampin'Up! Paper Pumpkin YouTube video as soon as it came out (you can always see the current video on my blog HERE) and I had a few ideas right away!

As one of my Pumpkineers (along with my team), I share at least ten different ideas with each kit. I send my Pumpkineers a PDF with the ideas. When a Pumpkineer skips a monthly kit, he or she also skips that month's PDF (don't have the stamp set or supplies!). This is just one perk for subscribing with me!

Many Happy Birthdays Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Crafters -

Ok, so I have been playing with my February 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Many Happy Birthdays. I actually just opened it YESTERDAY (Sunday)! YIKES, huh?

BUT, and I am having a BALL playing with this kit (check back tomorrow for a really neat box using this kit too!), I got to thinking about this kit. The candle flame reminded me of something but I just couldn't figure out what it was...

So, I kept playing with the kit and after making the box and an extra card, I decided to play with the flame to make a card. EUREKA!

Can you figure this one out?
Leaflets Framelits Die or a flame?
That's right! It is one of the small leaf framelits from the Leaflets Framelits Dies. Actually BOTH of the small leaves would work for a flame!

Can't wait to show you what I do with these AFTER the Pumpkineer meeting on Tuesday evening!

I just LOVE my Paper Pumpkin! #lovepaperpumpkin

Strength and Prayers - Reverse Lenten Challenge Card

Crafters -

For the next several weeks (during Lent), I will be showcasing the card designs we did at my Reverse Lenten Challenge Class on February 15th.

Here's the basics:
  • We made 40 notecards using the Whisper White and Crumb Cake Notecards and Envelopes
  • Beginning March 1st, 2017, Ash Wednesday, we will give or send a card to someone (there are 40 days of Lent, NOT INCLUDING Sundays)
  • Can be anyone - child's teacher, co-worker, grocery clerk, bank teller, mom in front of you who has her hands full! Anyone! You get to choose!

For this first week's card, I chose to showcase the Strength and Prayers card. I absolutely LOVE this stamp set. AND it is a GREAT value for just $13 (clear mount) or $17 (wood mount). All supplies used, and the links to purchase them, are listed at the end of this blog posting.

You will want to stamp everything first and let it dry. THEN add the Clear Wink of Stella to the dove stamped image.

Add the supplies listed below to your order, along with a couple of adhesives (you ALWAYS need adhesives!), and you will qualify for a Sale-A-Bration FREE item! I placed my cards in the Sale-A-Bration Card Tin, because it was FREE with my Sale-A-Bration order!

My current Host Code is on my blog - near the top, just to the right, on your desktop version!

Crafters -

I have updated both the March and April calendars and you can see them HERE (or click on the CALENDAR page just under my name at the top).

Did you notice?

I added a BINGO NIGHT in March and a Stamp-A-Stack in April! Watch for more details on those! Information will be added to my Classes Page as well.

Can you believe it is just over a month until Sale-A-Bration ends? NNNNOOOOOO!!!!! It is one of my favorite times of year - Sale-A-Bration, that is.

For the THIRD year in a row, I will be having my annual Sale-A-Bration Celebration. You must be invited to attend and bring one guest with you. Not sure what the Sale-A-Bration Celebration is all about? Well, let me tell you!

When you host a workshop (you must receive Stampin' Rewards) OR when you place three separate Sale-A-Bration orders (you must receive a Sale-A-Bration item) with me, then you are invited to a morning of fun! We do cards, products, I demonstrate a technique or two, and there is even FOOD! Those who have attended many of my events know that we are busy and rarely have time to even snack!

And when YOU qualify to attend, you are invited to bring one guest with you for a minimal fee. The crafters will tell you, they have so much fun - and because it is a smaller group, there is a LOT of one-on-one and you get to know each other! Let's face it, you may see a familiar face or two!  :)

I look forward to inviting YOU to the Sale-A-Bration Celebration at the end of Sale-A-Bration. Not a black-tie event, but definitely an invitation only event!

Coffee and Cards

Crafters -

It has been a whirlwind week and month! And this Saturday, February 25th, is no different!

My monthly Coffee and Cards Class will begin at 9am.

Want to see a little sneak peek of one of the cards we will be making?
Beautiful You Stamp Set
Coffee and Cards
February 2017

I just received the Beautiful You Clear Stamp Set. I have wanted it for a while, but just couldn't add it into my budget. My team leader had made this card design and showed it to us.

WELL, guess what? My mother-in-law gave me a new wallet for Christmas. I had set it aside and when I was checking out all of the bells and whistles with this wallet, I discovered that my MIL had placed $40 inside the wallet for part of my Christmas present - I know, RIGHT?!

So... I used it to purchase this set (and the Mediterranean Moments Clear Stamp Set too!). I still have to make her a set of the cards using both sets, but that will come... She knows that I am attempting to earn the cruise and this helps out wonderfully!

I used the papers I had and, using my team leader's design, I changed the color of the umbrella and decided to add this card to my Coffee and Cards class for February!

You can read more about my CLASSES on the Classes Page of this blog. The CLASSES Page is just below the header above or you can click HERE to be taken directly there.

For the Coffee and Cards Class, the cost is $20 but it is free when you place a qualifying order while at the card class. What a GREAT way to make some FREE cards and order what you were going to order anyway! Win-Win-SCORE!

Just let me know by Thursday, February 23rd that you will be attending. You will need to bring your favorite adhesives and scissors to the class.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Crafters -

Did you know that there is a stamp set in the back of the big catalog called My Hero? YUP! It's a GREAT set!

Did you also know that Stampin'Up! donates $3 when you purchase that stamp set? YUP! Stampin'Up donates time and money to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). To date, they have contributed over $1.5 million to RMHC and their network of local RMHC Chapters. You can visit www.stampinup.com/giving to learn how you can help.

Well, today, Sunday, February 19th, is the day that I am blessed to help out at the Columbus (Ohio) Ronald McDonald House. Want to see what we will be making with the residents?
Succulent Flower Lollipops!
February 2017
Columbus (Ohio) Ronald McDonald House

I know - LOVE IT! It's so fast and easy!

Do you recognize where those shapes came from? Even better! It's the Succulent Framelits Dies. I just received mine and this is the first time I've been able to use them! And my friend, and fellow demo, Linda F., just donated a big box of papers to us for the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. They are retired colors and designs, but they are the FABULOUS quality Stampin'Up! products!

And finally, because we are supposed to be there for just 2 hours (including set up and clean up), I try to make things VERY easy and easy to set up and clean up! Check out how easy this set up will be for this craft! See? I don't throw out the left over plastic containers from brads, buttons, embellishments, oh my! And the flowers and leaves fit perfectly into those containers!

I also have the tablecloths, along with my Stampin'Up! apron packed in my bag too. AND one of my new team members, Linda K. will also be attending! It's been a few months since I've had someone help me at RMHC and I'm looking forward to it!

Reverse Lenten Challenge

Crafters -

Many of you have seen my two little snippets for two of the cards that will be made at my Reverse Lenten Challenge Class on Wednesday, February 15th. You can always see my upcoming classes by clicking HERE (or clicking the CLASSES link at the top).

BUT, after returning from my VERY fun Leadership training this past weekend - SO MANY IDEAS!!!! Well, I went ahead and put together the rest of my samples last night and just posted them! Want to see a little sneak peek?
Reverse Lenten Challenge Cards
February 15th, 2017
9a-1p or 6p-10p
To Go Option Available

Want to know exactly what a Reverse Lenten Challenge is? Lemme tell ya!  :)

Every year I give up coffee and sometimes chocolate. The coffee is the hard one for me. I would take it intravenously if I could! Each time I would normally reach for a cup of my favorite java, since I gave it up for Lent, it would cause me to think what He gave up for me. My coffee is NOTHING compared with His gift!

So... how about instead of giving UP something, we GIVE something to someone else instead? Like a card!

Everyone needs a little encouragement. With this class, you will make 40 notecards. Beginning Wednesday, March 1st (Ash Wednesday), you will GIVE a card to someone. If you prefer to mail it, that's fine. Want to give one to the cashier at your grocery store - GREAT! What about the teller at your bank - PERFECT! How about the teacher that your child comes home and tells you what a wonderful day he or she had with - EVEN BETTER! How about blessing someone with YOUR gift of a card?

There is no (regular) mail service on Sundays, so beginning March 1st, that is 40 cards to get you through Lent. What a wonderful way to SHARE your gifts and talents and BLESS someone with that.

On Wednesday, February 15th, there are TWO class times to attend. 9a-1p OR 6p-10p. If you are unable to attend, I'm also offering a TO-GO option (shipping extra).

You may register and prepay so all supplies can be ordered in a timely manner. You must let me know by February 10th that you will be attending. Cash, Check or I can send you an invoice that can be paid electronically.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Custom Tees 3-D Swap

I was NOT going to get the Custom Tees stamp set.

It's a T-shirt! A T-SHIRT!!! What on earth am I going to do with a T-Shirt stamp? Seriously!

Then I saw something on a Facebook post.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Check out my first photo:
Custom Tees

And here's what I was doing for the 3-D swap:
Hmmm..... They look a little different from the top photo to the bottom.
It's like they SHRUNK!

Can you tell what I made these into?

Check back on Sunday/Monday for the FINAL project and I'll let you know how they were received!

Dragonfly Dreams AND Thinlits Meet Falling in Love DSP

Friday, I am headed to "that state up north." You see, my team leader is having a training session FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND! YEAH!!!!!!

I am all set! I have my roommate gift for my friend Keri ready to go. I have my 3-D swap item ready for Saturday night's Pajama Party (check back on Saturday/Sunday to see if you can guess what that 3-D item is!). AND, I have my cards ready to go for Friday's general swapping!

I have been having a LOT of classes lately so I have been going through a LOT of cardstock! And I can't really decide which is my favorite color because lately, there have been quite a few.

So, for my card swap, I decided...
  • I was going to do that really cute (and easy!) pinwheel design. I demonstrated it at my workshop in January. We did this for the Card Ministry design at church for the January cards. I did this as a card design at a PRIVATE card class in January. It was a BIG HIT at all of those events!
  • I was SURE I was going to use the new Falling in Love Designer Series Paper. I LOVE this paper! I am actually on my THIRD package of it - and it just came out in JANUARY! (NOTE: That teeny tiny photo in the catalog just does NOT do this paper justice - WAY prettier IRL.)
  • I liked several of the designs but they were all different colors. Sky Blue. Blushing Bride. Sweet Sugarplum. Sahara Sand.
That left me in a quandary. Should I just pick two of the paper designs and make all 30 cards that one color?

For those of you who have attended my workshops and classes over the past several years, you know that I like to mix and match colors!

Check it out!
Dragonfly Dreams
Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies
Falling in Love Designer Series Papers

Which color combination do YOU like best? And just to make sure I was on the safe side, I made a total of 40 cards - 10 of each color! LOVE THEM!

Dragonfly Dreams Meet Succulent Garden DSP

Don't you just LOVE when you see something online and think "I can make that!"

You don't have the stamp set, or the punch, or the thinlits, or, or, or...

You just like the design!

So how about this!

Dragonfly Dreams
Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper

It actually took me longer to figure out which paper I should place with which cardstock - the mixing and matching was the most fun!

So - where did I get this idea, you may ask? Well...

As a demonstrator, Stampin'Up! sends us a weekly email called Succeed Weekly. Just general information and oh yeah - here's an idea or two!

Well, I got this from one of the ideas! AND I challenged my team, the Latte Joy Stampers, to do the same thing! You see, Brandi showed 12 cards with the tin in her video for Stampin'Up! Four new crafters joined my team in January so I know they are just getting their Starter Kits and current supplies. So I wanted to make it a little easier for each of my team. I challenged them to make just SIX cards using Brandi's design. Brandi even gave the dimensions of the pieces of papers in the video! How easy was that?!

I used my NEW favorite stamp set Dragonfly Dreams and paired it with the BEAUTIFUL Succulent Garden Designer Series Papers. I used EVERY SINGLE DESIGN in the package too!

When do YOU want to book YOUR private card class
and make this with five of YOUR friends?
Contact me to schedule your date now!

You can leave a comment below on this blog or feel free to make a comment on my Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/DawnStock.StampinUp.net/

And finally, here's the original! LOVE that Stampin'Up! shares ideas with all of us; don't you?
