Another Great Year - Paper Pumpkin Style!

Crafters -

Have you seen the December 2016 Paper Pumpkin? It's called Another Great Year and IT. IS. FABULOUS.

This is a mini scrapbook, complete with double-sided papers, stickers, a cool retro stamp and a marker.

I met with my Pumpkineers on Tuesday evening. Because I didn't want them to cut up their papers (not just yet, at least) so I went through my papers to see what others used Smoky Slate and Crushed Curry. I found that A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack has LOTS of smoky slate, the Festive Birthday Designer Series Papers have some fun designs with Crushed Curry, and finally - did you know this? - the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Papers has basic gray in it. And since I liked the two gray designs, we used that too! (**The Halloween paper is on the Year-End Clearance too - for a GREAT savings!)

So... really thinking outside of the box, what do you think?
December 2016 Paper Pumpkin
Another Great Year
Alternate Projects made at December Pumpkineer Meeting

The large "X" and "O" are from the Large Letters Framelits and we used the VERY bling-y Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Papers. This card was SO EASY to make - I think we all had it done in about 3 minutes! Perfect way to end the evening!

Although everyone liked the projects (we placed a little bit of chocolate in the LOVE bag), I can firmly state that the flower design was the favorite! AND, we even had a little tutorial on how to use the punch! I do not use this punch NEAR enough - and I really need to remedy that!

**FYI - Stampin'Up! has given us mini scrapbooks before. I still use my May 2013 Good Life Brag Book - as a scrapbook for our boy. Each page shows his school photo, height/weight, AND I also include a sports photo when he participates! I update it each year. This new Another Great Year would be PERFECT to do this as well! ASK ME TO SEE the "old" one, next time you are here. It's a LOT of fun! I had blogged about it in May 2013 HERE.

Hope you enjoyed the ideas! The Pumpkineers meet next on Tuesday, January 24th at 7pm. We meet the fourth Tuesday of each month.

If you haven't joined Paper Pumpkin yet, you can JOIN PAPER PUMPKIN NOW and start attending our meetings and make these GREAT alternate projects too!

Color in the New Year!

Crafters -

2017 is just around the corner! I have been very blessed in 2016. While we have lost some of our friends, we know that we will see them again someday. Very selfishly, I miss them though...

SO! As they say, I must put on "my big girl panties" and move forward.

Onto 2017!

January is going to be a VERY busy time! But busy in a good way!

Want to see a little sneak peek for my "Color in the New Year" class on Monday, January 2nd?
Two of the three cards we will make at my
Color in the New Year class!

We will make three (3) cards and the cost is just $10. I'm confident there is a football game on that day. The kids are still out of school. And many are off work that day. What a GREAT day to just color! I find it very relaxing and then I have three cards ready to go!

Oh - and while you may recognize the Rose Wonder stamp in the top corner, what about the bottom corner? Unless you are a demonstrator, probably not! It is a new paper, a FREE paper, with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration!

We will be playing with markers, aqua painters, sponges, ink, and maybe even the new Watercolor Pencils! (SPOILER ALERT - We will also be using the Wink of Stella on the bumblebee!)

Please RSVP by Saturday, December 31st so I can have everything cut and prepared for you!

See you soon!

Latte Joy Stampers - Team Meeting

Crafters -

I have a FABULOUS group in my team. We are called the Latte Joy Stampers and we meet once a month in the Central Ohio area.

With Christmas coming, and so many things going on, only one of my team was able to attend locally. And we had one meet us in cyberland - via FaceTime - and she was able to participate.

My team leader (from that state up north) had her meeting earlier in the month. I wasn't able to attend, but for those who attended, they made a Basic Tool Kit Case at the meeting. She provided the supplies and the crafters made them. THEY WERE SO COOL! And although I was on a cruise with my mom, I was kinda bummed that I missed the meeting and missed making one.

What to do? What to do?

Why - make my own, of course! And as Ronda says, "take your team along with you!" so that is exactly what I did! Check out what Betty and I made! This was my gift to my team who attended locally.
Dawn and Betty's Basic Tool Kit Cases

We used the Full Wide Stamp Cases, Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Papers (FYI - this is ON SALE through the end of the year with the Year-End Closeouts), Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Melon Mambo Cardstock, and the Large Letters Framelits. Do you recognize the string of hearts? If you have the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, you do!

(The coffee cup and the fancy hearts are from a retired thinlit set. Since my team is the "Latte Joy Stampers" I went ahead and used them for my team.)

As you can see, my Big Shot was working overtime!

EVERYONE that I showed this to - well, they LOVED IT! SO...

BOOK your workshop or private card class now.
For those who book their parties,
before the end of the year,
I will guarantee that I will make one of these for you.
My gift to you as my host!
(I know many of you have your own "parties"
with just you in attendance.
you still earn Stampin' Rewards
because you are the HOST of your own party.
Let me know,
before the end of the year,
when YOU are going to have your own party,
and YOU will also receive one of these!)

Since the coffee cup and fancy hearts are retired, I will use a NEW thinlit - the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies - you will LOVE these!!

**NOTE: You will receive the Basic Tool Kit Case with your thank you note upon completion of your Party. You must earn Host/Stampin'Rewards to receive this gift from me. Limit one per party.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to fill mine with my adhesives, scissors, a small ruler, and a few other items. The possibilities are LIMITLESS! :)

Ok, and want to see the OTHER items that we made for the meeting?
Using Watercolor Pencils,
Window Box Thinlits, Dies,
Dragonfly Dreams,
Large Letters Thinlits, and
Wide Full Stamp Cases
LOVED all the projects!

Keep in mind, you may not recognize a few of the items. That's ok! As a demonstrator, we are able to preorder approximately one month in advance, so we have time to prepare for our classes. Just one benefit of being a Stampin'Up! demonstrator!

Want to be able to get the newest stuff ahead of the general public?
I'd LOVE to have you as part of my team!
You can always see the stuff we make at our meetings.
Click "My Team" at the top of the page, or

Another Great Year Paper Pumpkin Kit - Stampin'Up!

Yesterday, I had my final Craft Event at Bexley's Holiday Bazaar. Just before I left, our wonderful mail lady came to the door with my Paper Pumpkin kit. YEAH!!!!

Have you seen it?

December 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit
Another Great Year

This is the first time I remember them adding a marker - and it's the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker too!

What a FUN way to start the new year! You see all those "Year in Review" videos on social media. I'm a bit "old-school" (shocking, I know!) and this will allow me to place photos from 2016 into a mini scrapbook so I have my OWN Year in Review ready-at-hand!

Can't wait to use it on December 27th with my Pumpkineers!

As an added BONUS - Stampin'Up! is offering the FULL KIT available for sale! What a wonderful gift! You can see it, and all of the available refill kits, by clicking HERE. Remember, you must be a Paper Pumpkin subscriber to order past kits, and they are available while supplies last.

Not a subscriber? Click HERE to join! My Pumpkineers meet monthly and we make an additional two items each month. They also receive a monthly PDF with approximately 10 alternate ideas using the kit and additional supplies.

Enjoy this month's Paper Pumpkin - I know I LOVE IT!  :)

Cozy Critters Meet Wonder of Christmas!

Crafters -

The Holiday Catalog is soon to be a thing of Christmas Past!

And there are so many GREAT items in that catalog! But alas. All good things must come to an end...  :(

As I was looking over my stamp sets that I will be losing from the Holiday Catalog (Tin of Tags? Jar of Cheer? SERIOUSLY?!), I noticed that I hadn't even put ink to my Cozy Critters! FYI - Tin of Tags Stamp Set is on SALE too for the Year-End Closeouts!

Cozy Critters is a Host Only Stamp Set - that means, it cannot be purchased. It can only be earned with a workshop (or a qualifying private party). You must have $150 in merchandise before you can choose this little cutie.

So... I decided to play around with it. I also noticed that my Wonder of Christmas also didn't make it to the Carryover List. And I was looking on both pages 3 and 14 of the Holiday catalog (quick - go there now!).

Want to see what I made after looking at these?
Cozy Critters Meets Wonder of Christmas!

THIS is what you call "CASE-ing"! CASE = Copy And Share Everything. Many of you know that I like this element from card 1, that from card 2, like how they did this on card 3, and keep taking bits and pieces from cards to make it my own. Kinda like how the mice and the birds did the dress for Cinderella!  :)

You only have until January 3rd to earn this cute Cozy Critters. Don't delay! We can schedule YOUR workshop or private card class before January 3rd so YOU don't miss out!

Let me know when you want to schedule it! You can see my calendar HERE to view the open dates.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded;
and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
Luke 12:48 (NIV)

Our family is very blessed. Many of us are very blessed - and sometimes I don't realize it until I see someone else's blessings right in front of me!

As many of you know, I am the Lead Demonstrator at the Columbus (Ohio) Ronald McDonald House. Stampin'Up! has a list of volunteer demonstrators for each local house. And each month, I plan an activity involving paper crafting at the Columbus House.

Well, for the month of December, it was a little hectic at the Stock household! I was out of town with family and returned home Saturday early evening. And Sunday was my day for Ronald McDonald House. I had planned to be home LATE Friday evening/EARLY Saturday morning... yeah... tell God what you want and watch Him laugh...  :)

So, everything was SO hectic here. I didn't have any other SU! demos that were able to attend, so I knew I was flying solo. I almost canceled going. I'm so thankful I went. I was blessed beyond measure!

I made 42 of these green Pyramid Pals and brought in TWO plastic cases full of different colors of brads, both large and small. I had the Pyramids already put together and had the holes punched in each one. I even had the stars cut and ready! Had gotten some Halloween candy on sale and I was ready to rock and roll!

I have found that anything 3-D and involving chocolate gets LOTS of attention! Even the teenagers come and make the projects! At one point, we had SEVEN people making these little Christmas trees. Two of the kids were really little. Mom was helping one, and another resident Mom helped the other! This resident mom stayed at the table and helped me for about 20 minutes! God Love Her and I will continue to pray for her baby girl Brooke.

The kids each picked out their favorite colors and put them all through the holes. Two boys came over with their dad; their mom was up in the room with their baby brother. Now, I don't usually use names, but one of the guys was named Nick - and he KNOWS St. Nick - WHAT a blessing he was to me! These two boys were just GREAT! I loved talking with them and their dad! Want to see theirs?

And, because it WAS so busy, I wasn't able to take photos and help, so the photos did not get taken this time. Please know that all of the kids made absolute masterpieces with their little Christmas trees! I was humbled beyond measure with their creativity!

And this was all I had left!

I left the extras at the front desk for the residents to pick up as they wished. One mom even told me that she was going to leave hers in her baby's room. Her daughter was 12 days old on Sunday and this would be her only Christmas decoration for her room.

I will continue to pray for the families I met on Sunday. And I will count my blessings. I have so many...

November Wonderful Winterland Paper Pumpkin!

Each month, Paper Pumpkin just seems to get better.

The December kit has shipped but wanted to show you TWO additional items I made using my November kit, Wonderful Winterland, from Paper Pumpkin. The PDF I just sent to my Pumpkineers had 14 items on it! LOVED this kit!

FYI - If you are not YET a subscriber, I would LOVE to have you join my Pumpkineers! You can JOIN HERE.

So, without further ado, here are TWO additional items:
Rudolph Ornament or Tag
I'm probably gonna use this as a cute little ornament, and then put it on a package close to Christmas. LOVE IT! I used the Hearth and Home Thinlits, Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set, and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, along with the stamps that came in my November Wonderful Winterland Paper Pumpkin kit! LOVE IT! Even used 10" of the silver metallic twine that came in the kit for the hanger! Who wouldn't LOVE this?!

Wonderful Winterland Paper Pumpkin Kit
Window Box Thinlits Dies!

You may not recognize this box. That's because it's NEW!!!! As a demonstrator, we are allowed to place preorders, so we can prepare of our upcoming class (we would NEVER just play with our new toys - business, business, business!  :) hahahahah! ).  This is the new Window Box Thinlits Die. I think I like it almost as much as my Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die!

I'm not nuts about the lines I drew on this - what do you think?

And I used the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for the windows on the houses. I think it makes them look nice and home-y!

And finally, gotta show you this little cutie! FYI - the idea is NOT mine! I was not able to attend Stampin'Up!'s OnStage in November. BUT, they provided a couple of videos online for the demonstrators. Sara Douglass, Stampin'Up! CEO, did this to make it easy for her to assemble her box. I liked it so much, I did the same thing!

Cute template to remember how to assemble my Window Box Thinlits Dies!
Thank you Sara Douglass!

Can you guess what color this bright yellow is? It is from years past....

Card Ministry Projects!

Crafters -

Many of you know that I am involved at our church's Card Ministry. We began MANY years ago as a Scrapbook Ministry, but we have evolved to our current Card Ministry.

We send out between 400-500 cards annually to shut-ins, graduates, parents of new babies, sympathy to those who have lost loved ones, and just general thinking of you cards.

We have a daytime group that meets twice a month, and an evening group that meets once a month. We have a few crossovers - because crafting is just so much fun!  :)

Well, last year, because our crafters donate so much of their time and talents, along with all of their supplies, the three of us leaders got together to plan an evening of fellowship and fun. It allows our two groups to get together and just have fun!

Thursday night was our night of fellowship. Want to see what we made?
Card Ministry Fellowship
December 1, 2016

We had a BLAST! Everyone brought some type of finger food along (yummy) and one couple even brought PIZZA! YEAH!!! Crafting AND food, who knew?!

Because we are two different groups that rarely see each other, except in passing, we each stood and introduced ourselves. We even have THREE ladies who regularly attend our Card Ministry, who attend OTHER churches in our area. It was SO humbling to hear them introduce themselves AND two of them have started Card Ministries at their home churches!

We also had one new lady, again from another local church. After attending ours, she told me that she had so much fun. She's actually going to look into starting a Card Ministry at HER church!

God. Is. Awesome!

Wonderful Winterland Paper Pumpkin

Crafters -

My Pumpkineers met last night. We were few but mighty!

I absolutely LOVE the cards in this kit. There are eight (8) cards and envelopes in this kit. And there is stamping, and layering, and vellum, and just they are WOW cards! LOVE THEM!

So, because I always make two to three additional items for my Pumpkineers to make when we meet, but I didn't want to cut up the cards, so I designed three separate items using only our stamps (and the sequins).

Check out what we made!
Group projects made on November 29th

Here are Betty's projects:
Betty's Projects

And Nancy's projects:

And finally, Faye's projects:
Faye's Projects

Did you notice the little reindeer in Faye's? That was my little gift to the crafters who attended! It's a snack size Hershey bar! Remember the old "candy bar sliders" that we used to make - like 10-15 years ago? I just modified it to fit the snack size candy bar.

A good time was had by all and we will next meet on Tuesday, December 27th. A perfect break during the Christmas time!

Hope you enjoyed these projects as much as we enjoyed making them!

Buckeye Class...

was an absolute BLAST this morning!

Check out a quick video showing the WOW! card we made.

(What do you think? This is my first video IN YEARS!!!)

Hope you enjoy this card as much as we did making it!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Crafters -

Today is Thursday, November 24th, 2016. It is Thanksgiving. A day to spend with friends and families and count our blessings. I know we each have so many...

Last week was a little busy; but busy in a GREAT way. I had a private card class, my monthly Coffee and Cards class, our church Card Ministry finished their annual fundraiser, and I was also blessed to go to Ronald McDonald House to make turkeys with some of the residents.

You see, Stampin'Up! is a sponsor with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Actually, if you look in the back of the catalog, you will see that each year, Stampin'Up! offers an exclusive set and they donate $3 of each stamp set purchased!

I'm the Lead Demonstrator with the Columbus Ronald McDonald House. Something I take very serious. We schedule a monthly date with the residents and we craft. Stampin'Up! recommends that we are there for only two hours, including set up and tear down. Some months other demonstrators volunteer; other months, I'm the sole demo.

The last couple of months, I have incorporated chocolate into our crafting projects. Let me tell you! Chocolate gets them REALLY crafting! :)  Even the boys come over to make the projects! It's been absolutely wonderful!

Well, Sunday, November 13th, was the November crafting day. Want to see what they made?
Turkeys made by the kids

Turkeys made by the kids

And the kids were SO great! We had a little bit of difficulty getting these little guys to smile for my camera. So the kids were off screen telling the turkeys to "say gobble-gobble! say gobble-gobble!" I think it made the turkeys smile so pretty for the camera! Thank you to all the kids who made the turkeys!

We put our stuffing of snack size M&Ms into the turkeys too. (The crafting boys and I decided that it was turkey poop - LOTS of smiles, even from the pre-teens!)

And finally, this is all I had left, after bringing 40 turkeys! I left them at the front counter for the residents.
My turkeys - left at the front desk for residents!

Our next crafting day will be Sunday, December 11th. I look forward to seeing other demonstrators at the crafting and hope to bring more smiles to the residents.

So then,
just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live your lives in him,
rooted and built up in him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)

Want to see a little sneak peek of one of the cards?

LOVE it - with all the sparkles!

I cut a few extras, so if you still want to attend, just let me know by 3pm Eastern TODAY (November 18th)!

See you soon!

Buckeye Class!

You know that I have been making all kinds of items with the Curvy Box die!

Brutus, by far, has been my best seller at the Craft Fairs. So it got me thinking...

Brutus. Buckeyes. Football. Chocolate buckeyes!

I seem to recall that there is a game on Saturday, November 26th. 10 days from now. Maybe you have heard about it? And, my husband makes the ABSOLUTE BEST BUCKEYES, hands down! He didn't even share the recipe with me until AFTER our 15th wedding anniversary!

Well, he said he would make buckeyes for me for this one-day only class!

So, who would like to come to a special Buckeye class? This will be on Saturday, November 26th, from 9a-12p. Kickoff is at noon, so you will still make it home in time for the halftime show!

We will be making my version of Brutus using the Curvy Box Die, a Christmas card for your favorite Buckeye, and one additional item (it's a surprise!). And, you will be able to take home a CHOCOLATE  buckeye to place inside Brutus for your favorite Buckeye THAT DAY! There will also be a few chocolate buckeyes to snack on - we must do quality control before we give them out! :)

This class will be $15 BUT WAIT! Stampin'Up! will also be offering an ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA during this time! So, when you place your minimum order DURING THE CLASS, your class fee will be waived! Free chocolate and you get to save money by ordering during the Online Extravaganza? Win-Win-SCORE! (*Note - The order will be placed after the class. With the Online Extravaganza, sale items are only available for a short time.)

You must RSVP by Wednesday, November 23rd (day before Thanksgiving) so I have everything cut, ready, and there are PLENTY of chocolate buckeyes to share! Not able to attend? No problem! I will also be offering an online version. You will just miss out on the good chocolate buckeyes that my husband makes! :(

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Brutus Buckeye - O-H!

Yes! It is football season! Now, I know it is football season all over the country, but here in Central Ohio, we have this little team called the Buckeyes. Perhaps you have heard of them?  :)

Well, Brutus is a FAVORITE here in Columbus! He is EVERYWHERE!

Guess what I made for this weekend's Craft Fair?

This little guy is all over pinterest and the internet. I'm not sure who the first one was who made him, but I'm so glad he or she did!

It's Still Me!

I have been playing with getting my calendars set up for the next few months, and I thought... hmmm.... I really should update my header on my blog. And my Facebook page. And my Stampin'Up! website. It's that whole "if you give a mouse a cookie" type of thing!

Stampin'Up! no longer has My Digital Studio. Which is how I had completed my header all those years ago (I sure do miss MDS too!). SO, this new "Latte Joy Stampers" is from a bag I had made YEARS ago!

You see my team is called the Latte Joy Stampers. I do like coffee and, I'm not sure I should admit this, but... I like my coffee just a little tiny bit. "Hi! My name is Dawn, and I LOVE coffee!" :)

So, since this graphic is on my bag that I carry around town, and I've always liked it... Well... I decided to place it on my business pages.

AND, I've even revised my Calendar to use it - AND a QR code (thank you for my teenager who understands technology!).

Check me out!

Hope you enjoy this new graphic!

Stitched Shapes Framelits - Stampin' Up!

What a GREAT November 1st, huh?

Two years ago, we had SNOW in October. Today, it is absolutely beautiful outside! I should be doing some yard work, but... well... I don't really want to. I'll think about it tomorrow...

AND - did you see? Stampin'Up! has a new item that will be in the BIG catalog come June 2017. You know how great Stampin'Up! is, right? Well, guess what?! They are allowing us to ORDER IT beginning today! That's like OVER six extra months that we can use this!!!! HOW GREAT IS THAT?!

Want to see what the new item is? It is called Stitched Shapes Framelits (click to order).
Stitched Shapes Framelits - LOVE THEM!

And here is a screen shot from the Stampin' Up! video - so you can see how great they are!
This is a screen shot from the video Stampin'Up! made.
REALLY shows off the framelits!

And they even have a nice little video to go along with it! Brandi is just so perky! (if you are reading this via email, you will need to go to my blog to watch the video. For some reason, videos do not show in the emails...)

And finally, and this really is a nice little bit of icing on the cake, BUT for the month of November only, we can order a few select stamp sets that coordinate with these framelits - and SAVE 25% on the retail price! SCORE!!!! You can see the selected stamp sets by clicking HERE. This is the flyer that they have provided which lists each of the stamp set AND their page numbers in the Holiday catalog and the big catalog!

I know, right?! Isn't it wonderful? It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...  :)
