Weekly Deals and...

(**See below for details)

Today's Weekly Deals are WOW!

There are a couple of Glimmer Papers on the Weekly Deals (the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper is so WOW!!), but the one that REALLY caught my attention was the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die! This thing is normally $40, but is now only $30. I have used this die in the past couple of months in my classes. For those of you who have attended, you KNOW how easy this thing is to use! LOVE IT!!!!

Here are two of the cards that used that die:

Now, because I really think anyone who has a Big Shot and who makes cards should have the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die, I'm gonna offer a little something extra BETWEEN NOW AND JUNE 30TH.

When you place an online order with me, and your online merchandise order uses Host Code VU766XBM, and is $50 or more (does not include shipping and/or taxes), you will receive FREE standard shipping! U.S. customers only. After you place your online order, send me an email. I'll get the standard shipping (10% or $6.95) in the mail to you within 24 hours. Remember this is only good through June 30th!

FYI - If you decide to be your own host and place a $150 or more order, do not use the Host Code. You will still receive the FREE standard shipping from me.

Can you tell that I really like this die?

Cottage Greetings and Backorders from Stampin' Up!

Don't you just LOVE the new catalog?! I know I do! I may have to go back to work to be able to afford ALL of the items I want from the catalog. Is it bad to want just about EVERYTHING in the catalog? Ah... if I would win the lottery... oh well! I'm very blessed and thankful that I was able to retire, but I really wish I could have seen the new catalog before I did! :)

Seriously though, I do have a Wish List, just like many of you. I budget each quarter based on my class schedule and my personal "wants." The next few months of my classes were based on BOTH of those! I love when I can combine those (so does my hubby!).

My first class with this new catalog is the Cottage Greetings Class. The reservation deadline has already passed and I have placed the order. Everything I ordered shipped and the order is supposed to be here early next week.

Well... and because I have everything already for the class, I don't usually check the "Backorder Report" from Stampin' Up!, but I did today. WOW! Looks like everyone else really likes the Cottage Greetings Kit AND Cottage Greetings Clear-mount Stamp Set too! The Cottage Greetings Wood-mount Stamp Set is currently available. Here's the Backorder Report from Stampin' Up! I'm only posting this so you know what's available when. FYI - The Cottage Greetings items can still be ordered, they are just on backorder.

Cottage Greetings - Stampin' Up!

I have been working on my Craft Room for the past week. I have NO IDEA how I have so much stuff! Thanks to all of you who have purchased some of my retired items. Several of you have already received your items and I really appreciate the nice emails from you! Thanks! Hope you enjoy your goodies!

BUT, now that I have most of my stuff into the right cubbies in my Craft Room, I actually got to play with my order that arrived on MONDAY! I think that it is almost a CRIME to have it sit there all week without any attention! Especially since I do have to prepare for my class at the end of the month! See? It's all about the business, huh?  (wink-wink!)

So, I grabbed my new Cottage Greetings Stamp Set and its coordinating Cottage Greetings Card Kit, and I prepped for my class. The RSVP date is Friday, June 12th (your payment is your RSVP). PayPal buttons are on the CLASSES page for your convenience. FYI - You do not have to have PayPal to pay, you will be taken to that page and then you can pay by credit card.

For the class on June 27th, we will be making one of each of the three card designs in the kit, but my crafters will also be making a surprise fourth card. Want to see a sneak peek of that fourth card?
Cottage Greetings Card CLASS
Surprise fourth card included with class fee!

LOVE IT! AND we are using almost every stamp of the 12 stamps in the set! Do you recognize that silver butterfly? That's right! It's the smaller butterfly in the Bold Butterfly Framelits. THAT's the next thing I'm gonna pull out and play with too! Because THAT's the July class - see? Again, business! That's what I tell my hubby when I place my orders, too!

I put together my set of the cards tonight from the kit. I think it took me all of 15 minutes for ALL 3 of the cards! This kit really is that easy!
Cottage Greetings Card Kit
Make one of each card design on June 27th at the
Cottage Greetings Card Class!

As you can tell, I copied the cards directly from the directions. If you are looking for a really quick (and I mean, REALLY QUICK!) card idea or gift, this is DEFINITELY what you are looking for! The directions even tell you exactly what color to stamp! I've been doing this a long time and the Cottage Greetings Card Kit is, BY FAR, the easiest kit I have EVER used! Have you priced cards lately in the store? This kit is a STEAL at just $16 too!

Although you will use all of the enamel dots on the three cards, and the Basic Grey Baker's Twine is all used, I was able to punch out a few things from the leftover Silver Foil Sheet that came with the kit! I even had a few of the sequins leftover; BOTH sizes! My crafters will see what we will do with those little beauties on Saturday, June 27th!

If you haven't yet registered for the class, GO! REGISTER! And don't forget to bring your favorite adhesive(s), refills, and scissors to the class!

I look forward to seeing you on June 27th at 9am! Enjoy!

Items for Sale

Crafters -

Whew! It has been a whirlwind around here! School has ended. I am now the parent of a HIGH-SCHOOLER!!!! I have no idea how that happened as I certainly haven't aged that many years!  (wink-wink!)

My mom will be here next month and she is going to stay for two months. We will be having my father's Celebration of Life Party in July. My husband has been training for, and will be competing in, a triathlon in September.

I don't know about you, but I have a few stamping and crafting items in my home. Sometimes, when I couldn't find just the right spot to put something (or somethingS), I would just place them in a box and set the box in my room or the spare room or the basement "until later." Anyone else ever do that? Thought so - I'm the only one!  :)

Well, since I am retired now, and I really should have all of my craft items in one room to make it much easier on me (and my family!), I have been going through my crafting items. When my mom was here at Easter, I emptied about 15 boxes and started really going through my stuff.

Thankfully the teenager is very strong and is BORED already, so I put him to use moving boxes for me. I had already cleaned most of the items out of the spare bedroom since mom was here, but I still had things in my room and in the basement. The boy carried boxes for me and now everything is in my craft room IN LOTS OF BOXES!!!!

So, I am purging! I will have a Crafting Sale on Monday, June 15th from 1p-6p. There will be stamping stuff, scrapbook stuff, and a few other items also available!

I am noticing, as I'm going through my items, I have a lot of stuff! WAY too much to fit on the tables that I have in my craft room. So - I have added an ITEMS FOR SALE link on my blog.

Cottage Greetings Class - Stampin' Up!

You know, most people do not look forward to Mondays, but I am so excited about this coming Monday!!

Wanna know why? Because "Mr. Brown," that's UPS, will be delivering my new goodies from the new catalog!

Wanna know which item(s) I'm anxiously awaiting? Here's a hint:

Do you recognize these from pages 94 and 154 from your NEW Stampin' Up! catalog? The items are the Cottage Greetings Card Kit and Cottage Greetings Stamp Set. THIS is what we will be playing with on Saturday morning, June 27th from 9a-10a!

When you attend from 9a-10a, the cost of the class is $10. You will make four cards - one of each design shown AND an additional surprise card!

Want to have your own card kit and stamp set? Well, and I'm not quite sure why Stampin' Up! didn't bundle this GREAT kit and stamp set, but I'm offering DAWN'S COTTAGE GREETINGS BUNDLED CLASS!

When you attend the BUNDLED class, you will:
  • Make the 4 cards in the class
  • Receive the Cottage Greetings Card Kit (15 cards in kit)
  • Receive the Cottage Greetings Stamp Set (12 clear stamps)
  • Stay from 9a-11am to put together YOUR cards
  • Please bring YOUR clear blocks to the class
  • All for just $40
  • You must RSVP by June 12th

Also gotta tell you something. This card kit is so stinkin' cute! But, did you notice? The cards and envelopes in the kit are 5" x 5" in size. So this will be a VERY nice change! When you come to the class, you will also see a few ideas how to change the cards to the A2 size (4.25" X 5.5").

When you go to the CLASSES page, I have added a PayPal link for the BUNDLED class.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 27th!

**I've also updated my CLASSES page so you can see some of the upcoming card classes!

New Catty - Floral Wings - Stampin' Up!

YEAH!!!! The new 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Catalog is LIVE today! Oh, I am SO glad! During my first pass through the catalog, my initial Wish List was several hundred dollars! Yeah.... Since I just retired, and don't really want to go back to work full-time, and I haven't won the lottery, I'm pacing my ordering.  :)

My order has been revised so many times since that initial pass through the catalog. I think I have it to a more reasonable amount AND am able to order the items I need for the next few classes. (Don't forget to check the class schedule HERE or click the word "Classes" at the top of my blog.)

I am REALLY looking forward to the Cottage Greetings (on page 94) class in June, and the Watercolor Wings (on page 75) class in July. FYI - Stampin' Up! has advised that the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit on page 155 (stamp set close up is on page 80) will not be available UNTIL July. So, that class is now going to be offered in September. I see many cards using that exclusive stamp set in my future! That is a GREAT stamp set! Plus I always like having the card ideas already put together for me!

**Check back late July/early August for more information
on the Watercolor Wishes Card Class.**

But I digress. How about the final card we made this past Saturday at the new Catty Par-Tay?!
Floral Wings
Photopolymer Host Set, Item #139169

Available June 2nd
What do you think?

Gotta tell you, this is WAY prettier in real life! This is a new Host Set, available TODAY, called Floral Wings. It is only available when you host a $150 (or more) party. You would use your Stampin' Rewards to "earn" this stamp set. All of the new Stampin" Rewards information, including the stamp sets, begins on page 178 of the 2015-2016 Catalog.

Floral Wings is listed as a two-step stamp, but it is really a THREE-step set! The first stamp is the butterfly which we stamped in Mint Macaron. Then we added the Blackberry Bliss flowers. The third step added the Mossy Meadow leaves. We also stamped the sentiment with Lost Lagoon. I just LOVE how each color family matches. I combined both of the InColors, the old and the NEW ones that you can order beginning TODAY!

With the new catalog release today, there will also be a matching framelit called Bold Butterfly Framelits. I cannot wait to get my hands on this baby! It looks like it matches with our current Butterfly Thinlits, BUT there are no cutouts with this size butterfly. So I can use it to make our butterflies "fly into the sunset." CANNOT WAIT!!!!  :)

**They are updating the website today, if the new items do not link yet, check back.
They have to add all the new items for the new catty!**

We added some of the little Pearl Basic Jewels Embellishments and a bit of the Gold Metallic Baker's Twine to finish this cute little Whisper White Note Card & Envelope.

I think this card was the most time consuming because we practiced lining up each of the stamps on our Grid Paper before we stamped it onto the note card. It took a minute to get used to how to do this, and make sure you are on a SOLID SURFACE when you stamp the butterfly. A folding table will NOT do! But you will absolutely LOVE the end result on this.

Sneak Peek - Best Thoughts - Stampin' Rewards - Stampin' Up!

Can I let you in on a little secret? I LOVE THE NEW HOST STAMP SETS! Did you notice the name change? Stampin' Up! is revamping the Hostess items with the new catty. It will be called "Stampin' Rewards" instead of "Hostess Dollars," and no longer "Hostess" - everything is "Host." I'm so glad - I have TWO husband/wife teams who craft with me! Should make them feel more comfortable! More on the Stampin' Rewards a little further in the post, but check out this card!
Best Thoughts Host Stamp Set
Clear, Item #138700
Wood, Item #139234
Available June 2, 2015

Ok, if you have received your catalog from me, you should recognize that little butterfly on the envelope. YUP! That's the little guy stamped on your bookmark! And you should recognize the ribbon too. This card uses the Watermelon Wonder 1" Dotted Lace Trim Ribbon. This ribbon is so pretty and so easy to tie into ribbons, and bows, oh my!

Did you notice that the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper is staying in the new catalog too? I LOVE this paper - it goes with EVERYTHING! And it is so lightweight (the catalog calls it "ultra lightweight"). And I just LOVE that you get 24 sheets (4 each of 6 double-sided designs). Makes it really nice when I want to have several card designs. YEAH!

Ok, back to the card. We used Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder, and Basic Black for the cardstock. Go to page 141 of your new catalog and you will see that there is no longer a Basic Black stamp pad, so we used the Memento Tuxedo Black Stamp Pad for the greeting. (The Basic Gray stamp pad is gone too - and I LOVED that color...)  We stamped the flower and butterfly in Watermelon Wonder. Added a little color with the Watermelon Wonder and Basic Black by punching just the flag ends on the Bow Builder Punch (SO glad this punch made it to the big catty!), a piece of one of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies, and finished it with a Very Vintage Designer Button (under the ribbon). Don't forget to add Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes to complete the look!

I thought this was the easiest card we made! It took us about 15 minutes, and again, we were talking, so your time might be a little bit less.

NOW, back to the Host Sets and the NEW Stampin' Rewards! Few things:

  • On June 2nd, you still fall under the OLD Hostess Dollars (for a $150 workshop, you will receive $25 in Hostess Dollars).
  • On June 2nd, and June 2nd ONLY, you can choose from ANY Hostess/Host set from from the OLD (2014-2015) catalog, the Spring Occasions catalog, AND the NEW (2015-2016) catalog. On a $150 workshop, you would just pick out your $25 in Hostess Dollars. You can also choose from the regular merchandise. But if there is a Hostess/Host stamp set you like, get it while you can. These are only available when you have a $150 or more workshop/party.
  • On June 3rd, the NEW Stampin' Rewards program begins. AND you only have the NEW catalog (ONLY - HAHAHA!) On a $150 party, your Stampin' Rewards is now 10% (or $15).

  • If you are like me, (GEEK), you can do the math quickly and figure out that is $10 less on a $150 party. To me, that's about a package and a half of cardstock!
  • Check out the prices of the Host Stamp sets. The most expensive CLEAR MOUNT stamp set is $10 in the new 2015-2016 catalog. (The most expensive CLEAR MOUNT stamp set in the OLD 2014-2015 catalog is $17!) See, right there? Just saved you $7! :)

Personally, I like the NEW Host stamp sets WAY better than the OLD Hostess stamp sets. The way I am looking at it - While I REALLY liked the OLD Bloom With Hope Hostess set, I REALLY-REALLY like both the Best Thoughts and Floral Wings Host sets in the NEW catalog. Using the new cost system, I'm able to choose BOTH of those Host sets for about the same cost as the one OLD Hostess set. It's like I'm getting more for my money.

If you have any questions about the new Stampin' Rewards when you place your order with me, please contact me BEFORE you place your order. I'd LOVE to talk with you!

I will tell you - I'm getting my order ready for June 2nd, so I can still get the higher Hostess Dollars, but also choose from the new Host stamp sets in the new catty!

Check back tomorrow - Tuesday - to see my really easy card using the Floral Wings Host stamp set too!

And Tuesday (tomorrow) is the first day of the NEW Catalog! YEAHHHH!!!! Can't wait!!!!
