Petite Petals Cards - Stampin'Up!

WOW! Did we have fun this past weekend!

First, I had my card class in the morning using the Petite Petals Bundle. The Petite Petals Punch is still on backorder but is anticipated to ship early May. They will be delivered to you as soon as they arrive!
Petite Petals Bundle of Spring Class
Had so much fun with this class! The extra card is on the top left, and the box is one of those mini magazine files. How fun is this?!

I don't know which one is my favorite, but the file cards made using the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards and Envelopes were a big hit - especially when you get 20 of these notecards and envelopes for only $12.95 (US)! So was the little nest using Linen Thread (did you notice that all 10 of the Brights Color Family were used on this card?). We did a little bit of masking on one of the Birthday cards, and you already saw my mom's birthday card using all of the Retiring 2012-2014 InColors. Sadly, the cardstocks have already sold out but the 2012-2014 InColor Core'dinations Cardstock is still available! This year, Stampin' Up! is NOT replacing any of the items. Now that the Retired Lists are out; when an item is gone, it is GONE! So if there is something you are a-wantin' - git it now before it sells out!

And then I had my downline meeting that afternoon. They were able to look at the cards that were made from the Petite Petals class. Many pictures were taken! AND then we each made a template for the mini magazine file folder. We all agreed that this cool box will be a GREAT way to hold our cards!

I think we'll all be making more of those cards AND the mini magazine files!

2014-2015 NEW Stampin'Up! Catalog!

It is AFTER midnight and the 2014 Catalog Premiere was at 7pm!

I was so very fortunate to meet with several of my downline and a couple of friends for dinner before. Here we are in our seats at the theater.
From left to right:
Stephanie, Charlene, Jeannette, Sandie, Geneva, and me

Well, and we saw some really cool stuff too, but at the end of the Premiere, Stampin'Up! announced that they would be passing out the catalogs, ALONG WITH A NEW STAMP SET as we exited the theater. As soon as I'm done with this blog posting, I'm going to put my set together and make a card! Check back later in the week for an easy and cute sneak peek!

Oh and the ABSOLUTE BEST PART, well, actually there were several of them, but ONE of the best parts of the presentation was the very talented Bonnie Thurber. I have met her several times and she is just one of the sweetest, nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Well, while she was was talking to all of us (yes, all 7,000 of us!), there was a sparkle on her left ring finger. You got it! She said that she is 53 and getting married for the first time! Apparently this gentleman named Mike has swept her off her feet! CONGRATULATIONS BONNIE AND MIKE!

And then throughout the evening, Brian Pilling brought little gifts and a personal note to each of the presenters. And because the gifts were so thoughtful to Bonnie, Shannon West, Carrie Cudney, and Donna Griffith, he even made a couple of them tear up. It was really quite nice. You could tell that they are all friends!

Shannon demonstrated a card that was stamped with a pair of eyeglasses and the words "Talk Nerdy to Me." She said that her mom told her that nerds make good partners (I'm paraphrasing here). Gotta agree with Shannon's mom! When we watch Big Bang Theory, I miss SEVERAL of the subtle jokes. Thankfully my MENSA/geek hubby can explain it to both me AND the boy. (Although I think the boy gets it sometimes before I do!)  So Shannon - LISTEN TO YOUR MOM (on this one)!

When we left the theater, because we hadn't yet had a chance to look through the catalog for ourselves yet, we decided to meet at a 24-hour restaurant and we all had a sweet treat! It was so good to go through the catalog with each other. Charlene, Sandie, Geneva, and I all saw different things when we were looking through it. Made it really nice to share this part of the new catalog with friends.

Did I mention that I have only gone through the catalog two or three times? Yeah, I think I'm going to be up a FEW more hours making my wish list! As a demonstrator, we can preorder certain items on May 1st!

Seriously though, Stampin'Up! made it VERY clear that we can show the catalog in person but absolutely nothing beside the front cover is to go out on the internet. So please don't ask me to share any of the pages other than in person/face-to-face. I'd hate to have to tell you no.

BUT, for those of you coming to my card class next month, or if I see you around town, feel free to ask me about the catalog. You just KNOW I'll have it with me! Now they DID tell us that we could post a picture of the CLOSED catalog, so...

And the pages inside are EVEN BETTER!!!!

I'm ordering my catalogs on May 1st (the earliest I can order them). If you have placed an order with me in the past six months, I will have a catalog for you. PLEASE NOTE: If you have placed an ONLINE order and listed NO CONTACT, I do not know who you are. Stampin' Up! doesn't provide me with your name, email, address, ANYTHING. So if you DID place an online order and listed NO CONTACT, please contact me if you would like a catalog.

Check back on May 1st. I'll be posting the dates and times when you can stop over. You'll be able to complete a FREE make-and-take AND look through the catalog! Hopefully, my boxes will be here by then and you can take one home!

Grid at Downline Meeting - Stampin'Up!

Yesterday, four of my downline members were able to attend our quarterly meeting.

We made SEVERAL items, showcased a LOT more, and went over the business end of, well, business!

I'll be posting throughout this week with the items from our Latte Joy Stampers meeting.

But first, check this out!

Subtles Grid

Several bloggers have been showcasing their grids. So I spoke with my downline members about us doing one and had a couple of takers. We had to decide on the rules first (colors, sizes) and who was able to participate right now.

Life has gotten a little hectic for many. It's the end of the school year, tax season (YIKES!) was just this month, and everyone is just busy! So, while many of the crafters WANTED to participate, there were only three of us who signed up. Thanks to Nina Riley and Sandie Crissinger for their beautiful artwork!

We used three colors for the matting: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, and Blushing Bride. The individual artwork didn't have to use those individual colors, only had to be part of the Subtles Color Family. LOVE that Stampin'Up! makes it so the colors all match in each color family!

After each square was matted, to make it easy, all were placed on a 7-1/8" x 7-1/8 square of Whisper White cardstock. Then that white mat was placed on an 8" x 8" piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock which was then matted to a piece of 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" Whisper White cardstock.

Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper is one of my favorites! But alas, all good things must come to an end. It is on the Retiring Accessories List! So, I used my VERY LAST PIECE of this design (I only had two full pieces of paper in this package left!) and matted it as the final matting. Then off to a Big Box store to purchase a 12" x 12" Shadow Box Frame and viola!

I'll be placing this artwork in my craft room. Originally I had planned by the door as you enter the room, but the boy is helping me look at other walls in my craft room. Can't wait for you to see it when you come over!

Thanks so much to Nina Riley and Sandie Crissinger for participating - I had a LOT of fun!

Did you see? Did you hear?

Stampin' Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING (excludes expedited shipping) on orders placed April 21 through April 25. Free Shipping begins at 12:01 am (MT) on Monday, April 21st. There are no minimums or limits. Expedited orders are not included in this promotion.

AND the Retired List is here too! Are you as sorry as I am to see some of my favorites go away? I mean, I knew that the 2012-2014 InColors were going away, but when I saw the Retired Accessories List - to see some of my favorite punches, embossing folders, ribbons, and Sizzix dies - oh my! That just means that I cannot wait to receive the NEW catalog so see all the NEW goodies too!

**There is a change to Stampin' Up!'s Retired Items too. In years past, you could always order stamp sets all the way to the end of the Stampin' Up! year. NO MORE! Once an item is sold out, it is sold out. They are not making any extras any more. So, if there is something you want, get it now. They have already sold out of the Raspberry Ripple Classic Stampin' Ink Refill.

And when you use Hostess Code ZPGW263M, you'll receive a little gift from me. Just place your order before April 25th (limited to US orders only).

You can always see the newest, latest, and greatest information on my Stampin' Up! online store. Just go to for the updates! You can also see if something is no longer available, because it will no longer be listed for sale!

Spiral Flower Die Bouquet - Stampin' Up!

Check it out!

I absolutely LOVE the Spiral Flower Die! Don't you? Of course, anytime I get to play with the glue gun, that's fun too!

These are eight of the ten Subtles colors. I didn't use the greens because I wanted the flowers to be all different colors (not green!). So, since I used the green pipe cleaners, didn't use Pear Pizzazz or Wild Wasabi.

I used a clear glass bottle, added a Tea Lace Doily, then a little bit of the 5/8" Organza Ribbon coupled with the 3/8" Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon for the finishing touches. Cute, huh?

During my next meeting with the Latte Joy Stampers later this month, WE will each be making one of these flowers! Isn't it neat how you can make the flower large or small? Did I mention how much I LOVE this Spiral Flower Die? Remember, it is only available while the Spring Catalog is available - through June 1, 2014. Although, I REALLY hope they make this permanent and add it to the big catty when it comes out.

Speaking of the new catty... Stampin' Up! has announced that the RETIRED LIST will be available beginning April 21st! How cool is that?!

Make sure you mark your calendars for Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th. More information will follow.

And finally, the Hostess Code for April 1-14 is ZPGW263M. Please remember when you list NO CONTACT, I don't know who you are! My customers will receive the new catalog in May and I'd LOVE to get one to you too! If you have previously placed an online order and listed NO CONTACT, send me an email and let me know! You'll need to update your online customer profile, and I will get you added so YOU can receive the catalogs!

Thanks so much for your business!
