Stampin' Up! Sweet Sorbet Card Set

Yup! That's right! Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-Bration is just around the corner. One of the items that you can earn is this FABULOUS Designer Series Paper called Sweet Sorbet. It's available beginning January 28th.

On Saturday, during our downline meeting we used several colors that coordinate with Sweet Sorbet. As many of you know, I absolutely LOVE Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Papers!

Here is the card I made for our meeting using the Sunburst Design.

The crafters had the option of using Sassy Salutations or Trust God Stamp Sets because most of the sentiments fit perfectly! We stamped the inside of the cards and the envelopes using one of the butterflies from Papillon Potpourri.

After our meeting, I also made a few sets of cards using the Oh, Hello Stamp Set. I used the flower from this set to stamp the inside of the cards and the envelopes. Check it out!

You can click on the picture to enlarge it. Notice how different each card looks? We used the same Sweet Sorbet D…

Stampin' Up! Blessed Easter

We made this EASY card on Saturday during our downline meeting. Can I tell you what a BIG hit it was? And we were able to play with a FEW new items from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog. (Check out the list at the end of this posting for the items used!)

There are SEVERAL great things about this card:
The design came from the bimonthly magazine that Stampin' Up! sends to us. It is called "Stampin' Success" and it has the BEST ideas. All demonstrators receive the magazine and during Sale-a-Bration, it is a GREAT time to join! This card was able to be made in less than 10 minutes! We only used a quarter of each Tea Lace Doily. So that means we made FOUR cards with EACH of the Tea Lace Doilies!  The Blessed Easter Stamp is just one stamp, and it is available in wood only. However, tulips are such happy spring-y flowers and make such pretty cards... so, I cut the wording apart from the flowers. I will definitely be making more cards using this set, but I'll use a w…

I'll be posting pictures of the cards we made later this week too. Hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them!

My Paper Pumpkin - Real Life

Ok, first, here is the December Paper Pumpkin using the Real Life Journal. SO COOL!

Did you notice the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper? Matches this kit PERFECTLY!

I made this card for our Associate Pastor and Children's Ministry Leader.

You see, they have been dating (none of us seemed to know this either) and well, on New Year's Day, he asked her to marry him and SHE SAID YES!!!! What a perfect way to start 2014, huh? Congrats to Pastor David To and Ruth Henry

Thoughts and Prayers

Crafters -

The Thoughts and Prayers stamp set is one of my all time favorites. I use it for men's cards AND women's cards. The flowers in this set makes VERY pretty Birthday cards and the tree in this set makes a VERY handsome card for men.

The set also makes some very elegant sympathy cards. Can you tell just how much I love this set?

My friend Lynn Chapman made this card and was kind enough to send me a picture of it. Isn't it beautiful?

As you can tell, Lynn stamped in green, added a few punchouts for the flowers, and then included a few brads to really make the card pop!

Thanks so much Lynn for sharing your gifts and talents!

Paper Pumpkin Special!

Crafters -

Wait until you hear this! Many of you know how much I enjoy the Paper Pumpkin kit that I receive each month. My Pumpkineers seem to enjoy the monthly kits too.

Of course, I add a little extra to the projects each month, which is why I'm sure they enjoy the projects so much! (smile)

Anyway, Stampin' Up! is making a deal so good, you will want to join as soon as possible!

How exciting is this offer?! AND when you join before January 25th, I'll send you a package of Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents. My Pumpkineers will tell you - we use these all the time to jazz up the cards!

Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes

Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes are just the absolute best and easiest way to make a card! Check it out!

I added the "Thanks so much" stamp from my Oh, Hello stamp set, using Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin' Pad. Then used my Elegant Butterfly punch on a scrap of Tangerine Tango Card Stock, added a Crisp CantaloupeBitty Butterfly punchout, a few rhinestones and viola! The card is so pretty in real life!

And so easy too! Took me longer to get out the stamps, stamp pad and punches than it did for me to put the card together!

And yes, this is one of the cards that we will be making on Saturday, January 25th. The RSVP date is Sunday, January 12th. See you here!

Occasions Spring Catalog

Crafters -

Did you notice the Occasions (Spring) Catalog icon on the right side of the blog? YUP!

It's effective TODAY!

Don't get me wrong, I am always sad to see Christmas stuff leave, but the items in the Occasions catalog are just so WOW!

And, for those of you who have been looking over my class schedule, the January class uses the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes.
 Don't you just LOVE them?!

Gotta let you in on a little secret too... There is also Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper (DSP).
This little snapshot picture just does not do the paper justice. It is WAY prettier in real life. I think I may be combining the DSP with the Note Cards for my own personal stash too...

I'm also working in my Craft Studio this weekend. Feel free to stop over on Saturday, January 4th, from 9am until 2pm to pick up YOUR Occasions catalog. As my thank you for you stopping over, you can pick out one of my retired card kits. The papers are retired, but Stampin'Up…
