Thanks So Much and NEXT Card Class is scheduled for...

Thanks so much to those of you who braved the weather last night! I appreciate you stopping over, making a card, and meeting one of you for the first time!

Have to tell you - one of my friends who is also a customer, well her daughter stamps and had a catty (catalog) party at her work. One of the daughter's friends placed an order for her friend. You will NEVER guess - the friend of a friend of the daughter - lives just down the street from me! We finally met last night! It's funny how life works, isn't it? You just never know where you will find NEW friends...

Wasn't it GREAT ordering new stamps AND saving money? 15% off! Thank you Stampin'Up! Here's the card we made last night. Each card was different as I used the last half of my Festival of Print Designer Series Paper Stack. Thanks to my upline who sent me a NEW package for my promotion last month (that post here), so I can make more! Thanks again Sandi!
Easy Christmas Card using Sassy Salutations
Easy Christmas Card using Seasonal Sayings

And did you know - on that paper, the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack, did you notice both sides? One is seasonal - Christmas-y - reds and greens and such. The other side is NON-seasonal - blues and reds and browns - so the DSP stack can be used year round - NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS! Since I already have the paper cut, I think I may make some birthday and thinking of you cards for my desk drawer at work.

AND did you also notice how perfectly the "Merry Christmas" from the Sassy Salutations stamp set fit on the paper? YUP! I LOVE my Apothecary Accents Framelits! Makes it so easy to stamp on the paper than then it just lines right up when I run it through my Big Shot. And the Seasonal Sayings stamp set was the one I received FOR FREE from Stampin'Up! while at the Chattanooga Regionals - Thanks again Stampin'Up!

Supplies used were:

Well, I just got up and realized that it is sputtering SNOW!!!! Very light ground cover and really cold, but snow just makes me smile. Now that is... in a few months after shoveling and driving in it, maybe not so much... but NOW it is really nice. Makes it nice and easy to stay inside and CRAFT instead of shivering in the cold outside! (smile)

NEXT Card Class is Scheduled For...
Saturday, November 10th from 1p-5p. Those who attended last night were able to see the cards up close and personal. Really pretty and had several different techniques and bling to them. I'll save that for another posting though, complete with a group photo of the cards we will be making. Check back later in the week. Deadline to register for the November 10th class will be Wednesday, November 7th. If you are interested in a morning class of 8a-12p, let me know
UPDATE 10/30/2012 - This is the new format for the 2013 card class schedule. This is a special class to showcase how the new format will be - hope you like the NEW format!

Alrighty then, hope everyone has a GREAT day and enjoys the cards we made last night!

Joyous Celebrations Gift Tag Set
FREE with a $50 Sell-A-Stamp Spooktacular merchandise order
Cute, huh? Well, again, I have to tell you... the idea was not mine. Shelli Gardner, CEO and Co-founder of Stampin'Up! apparently demonstrated this on stage at Convention 2012. However, I was unable to attend this year...  :(  ... BUT Stampin'Up!, being the wonderful company that they are, well, they place the items that were demonstrated on our "Stampin' Connection." This is a wonderful site that showcases ideas from Stampin'Up! and demonstrators alike. Just one of the perks of being a demonstrator - GREAT ideas from the company! I'd love to have you join my team and YOU will receive these ideas as well!

ONLINE ORDERS: Don't forget, I'm offering a refund of your normal shipping charges for all online orders of $75 or more through the end of the month. I'll have other specials for those who attend Monday evening.
Click to go to my online store and place your order!
Same goes for all online orders of $75 or more placed on this date too - I'm offering a refund of your normal shipping charges through the end of the month, so Monday's Stampin'Up! promotion just adds icing on the cake!

There will be drawings and specials throughout the evening at my home. You must be present to win your prize.
Click to go to my online store and place your order!
OH - and the Digital Downloads Promotion starts tomorrow too! That blog posting is here. The link to get the free downloads from my online store are also listed in that blog posting.

Looking forward to seeing you on Monday evening, from 5p-8p Eastern, at my home!

TWO Papillon Potpourri Cards

Crafters -

As I stated yesterday, I'm posting two of the FOUR cards we made at Saturday's final Stamp of the Month Club Class. Typically, I do not do this. However, the cards were just too pretty to keep to ourselves!

I always add one "extra" to each of the card classes. On Saturday, I made one extra card design - very easy and it will be my October Thank You card for my customers. If you wish to see the cards in person, feel free to stop over on Monday, October 29th, during my Special Event which will include Stampin'Up!'s 15% off Stamp sale. You are welcome at my home from 5p-8p. Hope to see you here...

Without further ado - this card is patterned after a staff presentation at the September 2012 Stampin'Up! Chattanooga Regional.  I made mine VERY vintage. It took a little bit of time, but I think the results are SO worth it. What do you think?

And the second card that I will be showing you from the Club Class is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from the July 2012 Stampin' Success magazine that Stampin'Up! provides us with. The magazine used to be every month, but SU! is changing things a little bit. It is now offered six times a year. Most times it is hardest to come up with the ideas; Stampin'Up! offers assistance in a variety of ways and I like to use their ideas for my card classes and workshops.

If you would like to join my team, contact me! You can sign up online and we have quarterly meetings like yesterday's posting (October 27th, 2012). You can read all about our meeting here. When you join Stampin'Up!, YOU can attend Regionals, Leadership, and/or Convention and see the ideas in person. You also will receive the Stampin' Success magazine (and have electronic access to the previous YEARS of the magazine), so you have a plethora of ideas to run with. FUN - FUN - FUN! I'd be glad to have you as a Team Member and we will have a "Latte Joy" while stamping!

Downline Meeting - Check Out What We Made!

Did we ever have FUN today!!!!

This is the second meeting (we meet quarterly) of the Latte Joy Stampers. Here we are, VERY hard at work (seriously, we were!)
Charlene, Dawn and Nina
the Latte Joy Stampers HARD AT WORK!  :)

And, I just have to show you what we were making at that moment. What do you think?
WOW! What a beautiful ornament!

Here's my first attempt at it. I always like to have several uses for my supplies, so I got to thinking. How about using my Blossoms Petal Builder Punch instead of the ornament punch? YUP! That's exactly what I did!
See? You CAN make Christmas with Blossoms Petal Builder flowers! Who knew?!

Like I said, my first attempt... I used Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green for the inks. LOVE my new foam stamp pads.

Here's a close-up of the stamped ornament. Check out the beautiful ink coverage. Nice, huh?
Blossoms Petal Builder Punch Ornament, Close-up

I absolutely LOVE that my downline is so close too. Nina brought the snowflake die with her for her card swap. Isn't it just beautiful?
Nina's Swap Card

Nina's Swap Card, close-up

Well, we also used it on OUR ornament that we made. Check out the difference from the Silver Glimmer Paper to the Champagne Glimmer Paper. BOTH are just beautiful!
Ornament, side-view

Charlene has been a demonstrator for a few months now, and is getting in the swing of things. It's little different going from customer to demonstrator - but let me tell you, it is a FUN journey! Check out her swap card:
Charlene's Swap Card

Here are my swap cards for this meeting. If you had a workshop this month, you should recognize these (smile!):
My Swap Card

And don't you LOVE the Champagne Shimmer Paint, mixed with rubbing alcohol? I put just little bit into one of the Stampin' Spritzers and it gave just the faintest shimmer to the paper (if you cannot see it, click on the picture, it will enlarge). Lovely...
My Swap Card, close-up

How about this one using the VERY easy notecards and envelopes, along with the Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags and Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack in the Holiday catalog. So stinkin' easy! And cute too! And no two cards were alike! We each had a different tag and different DSP.

Ok, only two more things...
1) My fabulous upline Sandi sent me this:
Thanks to my wonderful upline, Sandi, for these GREAT gifts.
I will think of you when I use them!
How wonderful is that?! She sent these to me because I promoted to Supervisor in September. When I promoted to Senior Associate in August, she sent me the cutest little sticky-notes that she purchased while at Stampin'Up!'s Convention this summer. LOVE them - Thanks again Sandi for being a wonderful upline! And don't you just LOVE the card too? I wish I was half as talented as she is...

2) and the very last thing is... while I don't normally do this, I just have to show you two of the cards we made today at the final Stamp of the Month Club today using Papillon Potpourri. But since this blog posting is already SO long, I'll post the two of the FOUR cards tomorrow. That will be the next post. I do have to share with you that BOTH of the designs came from Stampin'Up! One was an idea from the Chattanooga Regional (I attended last month) and the other is a direct CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from the July 2012 Stampin' Success magazine that Stampin'Up! sends to us with the most beautiful ideas. If you are already an email subscriber, you'll receive the email tomorrow; otherwise check back on Sunday.

Hope you enjoyed the wonderful creativity that my downline, my upline, and I have shared with you today. If you are thinking about becoming a demonstrator,  I would LOVE to have you join my team!

Non-Stamping Related...

Crafters -

As I am finishing my cards for this weekend's Downline meeting on Saturday morning and my final Stamp of the Month Club class for Saturday afternoon, I have also been doing some OTHER crafting.

The kind with the crochet hook and some really cool yarn. Here's the "group" picture. What do you think?
All the ruffled scarves lined up in a row.
Which is YOUR favorite ruffled scarf?

And here they are individually:
Pinks and Grays

Pinks and White

Red, White, Black, and Gray
Makes it PERFECT to wear on a Buckeye Day!

Rust and Green and Blue and Purple

Greens and Tans

Browns, Tans, and White

Browns and Grays

Black, White, and Gray
Yup - I have been BUSY!

As many of you know, I was at the "Table of Ruth" this weekend (clap-clap-clap) and had taken several of these yarns with me to work on them. Well tonight (Tuesday) was our mini-gathering and I had shown several of the other ladies how to make these over the weekend - it was SO cool to see both Crystal and Diane wearing the scarves that they made!

Crystal is an origami expert and she even crafted a box that these beauties fit VERY nicely into! Unfortunately, we weren't able to get together so I could learn how she did those. I'm emailing her next for the directions!  :)  I hope to post a picture of the boxes then. I have so much retired paper, I'm hoping that 12x12 retired Designer Series Papers will make the most beautiful boxes!

And, because several of you have asked about these and I have given you my business card, these are the ones that I have already crafted and they are available. Let me know which scarf you are interested in and we can go from there.

There are so very many ways to share our gifts and talents. Please don't be boxed into just one type of crafting. Explore all avenues and take the road less traveled. You may find that you enjoy the journey all the more...

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Clearance Rack has been UPDATED!

Yes - with OVER 70 new clearance items!!!!

The catch is... you can only order them from the online store. Which, I have (yep - you know me!). Go to www.DawnStock.StampinUp.net and click "Shop Now" in the top right hand corner OR you can click HERE to go right to it!

Seriously though, these items can only be ordered by you through an online store. I just tried to order a few of the items myself and when I went to checkout, it showed that they were no longer available. THIS is why they require you to order through the online store. If you placed an order with me on paper, and then when I tried to enter your order, THAT is when we would find out that the items would not be available. By YOU placing the order, you'll know right away and be able to update your order.

As you know, Stampin'Up! is such a wonderful company and they don't want you to be disappointed to think that you are receiving items when they have sold out.

SO, if you wish to place an online order with me, don't delay! I tried to order a couple of the 12x12 papers - GONE, the magnet sheets - GONE, and the 8x8 page protectors too - GONE! ALL GONE! So if there is something that you want, you will want to order right away.

AND since it is so late in the month and because they really have added that much stuff to the Clearance Rack... for ONLINE orders placed through my online store between now and October 31st of $75 or more (yes, there really is that much stuff that has been added!), I will refund your normal shipping charges (that's 10% of your order).

Don't forget - you can also add Holiday merchandise along with items from the BIG catty to your order too!

Happy Shopping!

Paper Ornaments

Crafters -

Have you seen the ornament on the front page of the Holiday Catalog? (If you do not have a Holiday catalog, let me know - I'll get one to you right away!) Here's what it looks like:
Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog
Go to http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/dawnstock/catalogs and
click on the Holiday Catalog (or any of the other catalogs too!)

Well, did you know that as a demonstrator, Stampin'Up! provides all kinds of guidance to us. And here is how you MAKE a different one of those paper ornaments!
Paper Ornaments Page 1

Paper Ornaments
Page 2

Paper Ornaments
Page 3

AND, because my downline meeting is on Saturday, October 27th - did you also know that we are going to make one of these that is SIMILAR to that? YUP! We are!

How similar is it going to be, you might ask.... well... as many of you know, I rejoined Stampin'Up! in May. Because I was a demonstrator for a few years before, I still have quite a bit of current merchandise, so I'm trying to be a bit more responsible in the items I purchase. What that means is... I don't have the ornament stamp set or die cuts (YET)! But isn't that such a GREAT deal going on this month? I may just have to get that bundle! Don't forget - it ends on October 31st!

We are going to make an ornament using items that I have on hand! Those of you who craft with me know that I can never CASE a card exactly! I have to combine two, three, four or even more designs into the one. SO we are going to do that on the 27th. (Gotta remember to call Charlene and Nina so they can bring their glue guns if they have one.)

If you are interested in making one of these ornaments with us, there is just one way to join us on the 27th - YOU HAVE TO BE PART OF MY DOWNLINE! You can go straight to my website and "JOIN NOW." I'll receive an email from Stampin'Up! that you have joined. No muss, no fuss! I will tell you though... In order to have enough supplies, you will need to join by Sunday, October 21st so that I have time to prep for you joining us!

If you would like to make your own, as Stampin'UP! has been so kind to provide the instruction sheet, I've included it here. Feel free to use it and make these beautiful ornaments to your heart's content! If you are local, I would LOVE to see your creations in person. Let me know! I'd be honored to take a picture of yours and place it here on my blog - you just gotta let me know when to meet you!

Have a "Latte Joy" while crafting!

Gabby's Workshop...

was so much fun yesterday!

As many of you know, things have been VERY hectic at the Stock household. I have unloaded my car from yesterday's workshop at Gabby's. Thanks so much to her and her friends for their patience. We had a LOT of fun!

Stampin'Up! Promotions!

Crafters -

October 1st just snuck right up on me! My folks were here from Florida and they just left on Saturday morning. It was really nice visiting with them and my mom was able to attend my Everything Eleanor Stamp of the Month Club Class on Friday evening before they left. The cards were really beautiful.

I have now updated my CLUBS page so you now know what the October Stamp of the Month Club Stamp Set is.

BUT while I was visiting with family and friends, Stampin'Up! has decided to offer SEVERAL promotions! SOME of them are even good through January 2nd!

Here is the October Promotion, compliments of Stampin'Up!:
October 2012 - Merry Christmas from Stampin'Up!

AND they are also trying something new. I have all of these sets and there are a couple in each that are not my favorites. I would have LOVED to only purchase the ones that I would actually use - it would save SO MUCH SPACE! These are good through January 2nd!
