When is a Workshop, Not a Workshop?

When you make it a Fourfer Card Class! It's like a Private Card Class!

Book your Fourfer Card Class during the month of September, and YOU can choose one of my retired stamp sets. I'll bring a box with me to YOUR Fourfer Card Class so you have a new-to-you stamp set at the end of the Fourfer!

And, like a workshop, I'll provide the demonstrations so you know how to complete the cards.

Don't forget -
  • Minimum is six (6) people and yes, that can include the hostess. (You and five of your friends - more, if you'd like!)
  • For one set price ($10), you get to make 4 cards. AND Stampin'Up! envelopes are included. I'll even bring the Stampin'Up! glue sticks for you to use!
  • Place an order that night at the Fourfer ($25 merchandise order), I'll take the $10 off the order - it's like getting the cards for FREE!
  • The $10/per person is prepay only. We want to have enough cards for everyone who wants to attend!
  • Contact me to book your date now!
  • Book YOUR Fourfer Card Class for the month of September, and you get to choose one of my retired stamp sets - just for being a wonderful September hostess!
  • Check out my calendar to see when I'm available for YOUR Fourfer Card Class. I have a commitment for Saturday mornings in September and October. The calendar "looks" like all Saturdays are filled already. Make sure you look at the description / time just to the left of the calendar. Most dates are available in the afternoons.
These cards are a great way to try-before-you-buy just some of the wonderful products that Stampin'Up! has to offer.

This is all without the "workshop" setting. It is YOUR Fourfer Card Class - YOUR Private Card Class! And YOU can reap the benefits when your Workshop or Fourfer qualifies for Hostess benefits! You can even make just Christmas cards!
Such a CUTE Christmas Card!

Contact me to schedule your Workshop or Fourfer (PRIVATE) Card Class!

It has been such a busy week - but in a really good way busy!

First was the Sunday Back-to-School Bash at our church. Here is the bookmark I made for that - remember, I made 202 of them! FYI - yes, the paper is contraband, but the stamps are all SU! Crosses of Hope, Trust God, and Papillon Potpourri. The clear mount sets make this SO easy to line up on the Two Tags Die - an SU! exclusive!

And then there was the Blooming With Kindness Stamp of the Month Club Class on Friday evening/Saturday morning. Remember - I'm only trying this for three months. If the interest is not there for the Friday evening classes, I will not offer them after October. So, if you're interested in Friday evening classes, hope to see you in September or October so I know there is an interest!

No pictures posted for the Blooming With Kindness Stamp of the Month Club
You must have attended the class to see the cards!

And finally, I had a workshop on Saturday afternoon. Here are the items we made - don't you just LOVE them?!

Craft Room Updated / Blooming With Kindness Stamp of the Month Club

Well, this looks a little bit better, doesn't it?  :)  Remember this earlier post?
Dawn Stock Stamping Stampin StampingWithDawn Stamping With Dawn

    YUP! I think so too!

And here's the view from the Craft Room. When needed, I also use our Dining Room.
Dawn Stock Stamping Stampin StampingWithDawn Stamping With Dawn

As you can see, I have a WONDERFUL view - both out the front windows and out the back window too! LOVE our yard, although I do not spend nearly the amount of time in it that I should!

And the rooms stayed set up for the workshop in the afternoon! Thanks so much to my wonderful friend and downline, the lovely and talented Vanna, I mean Nina, for attending the Stamp of the Month Club Saturday morning and staying through the workshop Saturday afternoon.

Talk about a blessing! She also cleaned up the tables, placed everything onto one table and just generally made my life so much easier. I've got to make her something - and chocolate will be involved! I think chocolate has medicinal qualities; what do you think?

The cards were a hit with all! I'll post pictures later in the week. WITH one exception - I'm going to use one of the cards as my swap card at the Chattanooga Regional in September. With a few modifications, of course (smile).

Those of you who know me, KNOW that I just have to change the colors, the papers, the front of the card, the side of the card, well, you know.... I just can't seem to make the same card twice! I'll post the before, after, AND Regional card when I'm headed to Chattanooga!

And you should see my mom's swap card (remember, she's also my former downline too!). It's really pretty. We should receive some really nice swap cards in return.

Oh and Linda won the door prize today. It was her first time stamping and she had a really good time. The first card we made was a 3" x 3". The best part was the embossing folder. The "WOW Factor" really showed when she opened the embossing folder. It's been a while since I've had a new-new stamper at my home. I forgot how much fun that was. Thanks Linda for reminding me!

And thanks so much to my friends who came to the workshop. My old partner, Donna Jean, and my Emmaus Prayer Partner, Carolyn, helped Linda throughout the workshop while I was demonstrating. My friend Rhonda Dee and a new customer, Lois, chatted during the afternoon. And my downline Charlene and former downline Pam enjoyed the afternoon and the company. And of course, Vanna Nina floated throughout both rooms during the entire time!

It is wonderful to have friends, isn't it?...

    By yourself you're unprotected,
With a friend you can face the worst.
Can you round up a third?
    A three-stranded rope isn't easily snapped.
    Ecclesiastes 4:12 (The Message)

You Know What a Twofer is... What is a Fourfer?

    It's a New Class!

Although there are several definitions,'s FIRST definition of a "twofer" is: "a card or ticket entitling the holder to purchase two tickets to a theatrical performance at a reduced price." (

Well, I'm going to offer a "Fourfer" Card Class. Anyone know what that is?

YOU GUESSED IT! It is FOUR cards for a special price! AND...

When YOU hostess a Fourfer Card Class, YOU are the one who receives the hostess benefits! It's like a workshop, but NOT a workshop! It's like a Private Card Class!

"How do I do this?", you may ask. Ok, here are the details -
    • For one set price ($10), you get to make 4 cards. AND Stampin'Up! envelopes are included.
    • But wait, there's more!
    • I will provide the demonstrations to complete each card - just like at a workshop!
    • You get several of your friends together and make it a fun Fourfer Card Class with your friends!
    • Place an order that night at the Fourfer ($25 merchandise order), I'll take the $10 off the order - it's like getting the cards for FREE!
    • Minimum is six (6) people and yes, that can include the hostess. (You and five of your friends - more, if you'd like!)
    • Hostess benefits apply when the merchandise total reaches $150 - who doesn't love free product!
    • The $10/per person is prepay only. We want to have enough cards for everyone who wants to attend!
    • Contact me to book your date now!
I have updated my calendar so you know what date(s) are available (by clicking "my calendar," you will go straight to my Stampin'Up! Events Calendar). AND if you book your Fourfer Card Class for the month of September, I'll bring a box with some of my retired stamp sets in it - YOU get to choose one of those for being the hostess of YOUR card class!

(I have a commitment for Saturday mornings in September and October. The calendar "looks" like all Saturdays are filled already. Make sure you look at the description / time just to the left of the calendar. Most dates are available in the afternoons.)

So - what date is YOUR Fourfer Card Class going to be?

The New Silicone Craft Sheet - WOW!!!!

I mean really... WOW! Have you had a chance to play with the Silicone Craft Sheet yet? WOW!

School begins tomorrow morning, and as you saw from my earlier post just a couple of days ago (here), I'm working on several projects at this moment. So, the boy mentioned tonight that he'd like me to cover his composition books with his Yoda paper (BIG Star Wars fan). You know, like I did for him LAST year (here's that post). I literally had TWO pieces left. JUST enough for two notebooks for him!  :)

And because he likes to have his name on things, I used my new Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies. FYI - these are the PERFECT size for names on notebooks! (And, if you have a $400 workshop, you can get this beauty for 50% off!)

Well, if you've ever played with alphabet die cuts, they are little! They don't seem like they are, but when you go to put the adhesive on it, they seem really small! I usually get the adhesive on my grid paper in addition to the die cut!

SO, because I was waiting for the brownies to come out of the oven (gotta have chocolate to pack for the first day of school lunch!), I took the extra minute to pull out my Silicone Craft Sheet. Again, WOW! This thing made putting adhesive on those alphabet die cuts SO STINKIN' EASY! I have no idea why I haven't used it before now - but I'm keeping this thing CLOSE from now on!

No adhesive stuck to my grid paper, the table, anything. It just didn't stick - except to where it was supposed to stick! If you haven't used yours yet, or if you don't have one yet, get one! That $5.95 price is such a deal! You can see right through this thing! And it is SO worth not having the aggravation of the adhesive sticking to my grid paper!

If you are coming to my workshop on Saturday (August 25th) at 1pm, make sure you try the Silicone Craft Sheet - you will LOVE it!

Here's a picture of the Silicone Craft Sheet on top of the boy's notebook with one of the die cuts. See how you can see right through it?! This thing is just wonderful. I may have to order a couple of extras - since they are only in the Holiday Catalog.

Hope you enjoy the notebook I made for the boy. He's fast asleep now and will be so pleased when he loads his backpack tomorrow with these notebooks.

    Saturday is Coming! YEAH!!!!

Well, I have been busy cutting cards for the Blooming With Kindness Stamp of the Month Club on Friday evening/Saturday morning.

With my mom living further away, I sent her a few of the pictures - LOVES THEM!!!! Wish she lived closer so she could make the cards with us on Saturday... oh well - we'll make hers when she comes up next month! She'll have her OWN Private Card Class!  (smile)

And been busy making 202 bookmarks for a thing at our church (don't ask - I have no idea how I cut those two extra!). They are having a "Back to School Bash" complete with DUNK TANK! Yeah... I'm not in that one. BUT they invited our Card Ministry group to set up a table to share information with the parents.

SO I did the bookmarks and some little flyers to hand out about this wonderful group of crafters and when we meet. One of my former downline members, the fabulously talented Pam, will be manning the table with me. And thanks to another former downline member, the equally fabulously talented Geneva, she let us borrow her card table! Thanks to both Pam and Geneva!

And with prepping for Saturday's workshop, well... you should just SEE my craft table!!

    Don't I have a beautiful view when I'm crafting?

The workshop on Saturday, August 25th, begins at 1pm with a demonstration for the first card.

Look forward to seeing everyone on (Friday and) Saturday!

NOTE: If you do not already have a demonstrator, I would LOVE to be your demo!
Let me know and I'll get an invitation to you!

    I WON!!!! :)

    Crafters -

Remember this post and this card?
    Dawn Stock Stamping Stampin

I belong to a wonderful online group called SUDSOL (stands for Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing OnLine). They are "Your 24/7 Upline." Although I have a wonderful upline, I chose to join this group because they have quite a bit of information! And my upline also belongs to this group!

Each week SUDSOL offers a variety of challenges. As many of you know, I took a six-month break from my stamping business. While I am restarting my business, I'm trying a few new things. So I decided to submit my card that I patterned after the Convention card (I still don't have the set that was used at Convention, so still no side-by-side comparison yet!).

Here's what I saw on SUDSOL about 30 minutes ago:
    Dawn Stock Stamping Stampin

    I won!

"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." This quote apparently belongs to Confucius.

I just LOVE my Everything Eleanor set and like I had said... for some reason, when I saw the (Convention) card (when my upline posted her picture of it), I thought... "you know, I could make that card using my Everything Eleanor set." This set is just so versatile and I can get so many different looks by using it. I just love it!

And, as many of you know, I love to make cards. When I combined the two (the stamp set and my cardmaking), this card was the result. And it didn't seem like work at all - I really hope you enjoy the card as much as I do!

If you are interested in trying SUDSOL for a free 2-week trial, you can Join me on SUDSOL - Your 24/7 Upline!

I look forward to seeing YOU around the water cooler at work when you join SUDSOL!

    Workshop on Saturday, August 25th!

    Crafters -

I'm sending/delivering the invitations for my workshop on Saturday, August 25th. Let me know if YOU'd like to attend. We'll be making a card or two!

There will be specials and door prizes during the workshop - you must be present to win!

    Hope to see you here!

    Designer Fabric CLEARANCE SPECIAL!!!!

WOW!!!! This is SUCH a great deal!!!!

WHILE SUPPLIES LAST - you can order Stampin'Up!'s exclusive Designer Fabric in FOUR (retired) designs. Now, these are all retired designs so they do not show up in the current catalog. They are in LAST year's catalog (2011-2012) on page 196. OH - and the price is only 99 CENTS!!!! The original price was $9.95!

I've listed the fabric names and the link to my demo website. All you need to do to purchase is just click on the fabric name below (you can call me too - I can take orders that way). By clicking on the fabric name, you can see the small picture of what the fabric looks like too!

FYI - when the fabric is gone, it is gone.

I'm also supposed to tell you that there is no limit on the quantity of these Designer Fabrics, BUT it is only good while supplies last. AND because they are only available while supplies last, you may not receive all of the fabric you order, if you wait for a workshop.

Which means - if you want the fabric, GO NOW TO MY DEMO WEBSITE and place the order!

GO - order all you want - while you can....

    Everything Eleanor - LOVE IT!

    Crafters -

I just LOVE the Everything Eleanor stamp set. LOVE - LOVE - LOVE IT!

Just like many of you, I was stalking a number of blogs during Convention 2012. While the make-and-takes were so pretty, the style was slightly different than mine.

That is what makes this company SO wonderful! We each have different styles and likes, and there is something for just about everyone in the catalog. I would say something for everyone, but there might be that one person out there... I haven't met him or her yet, but they may be stalking MY blog!  (smile)

SO...  today, my wonderfully talented upline Sandi, uploaded some of her pictures from Convention. She has also issued us, her downline, a challenge involving the Holiday Catalog. I'm working on it, but it is a slow progress for me!

While looking over some of Sandi's pictures, I noticed the "Friend" card that was a make-and-take this year. It used a new set out of the Holiday Catalog. Are you picking up on a theme here?

Well, I don't have that set (yet!). BUT for some reason, when  I saw the card today - I thought "you know, I could make that card using my Everything Eleanor set."

Guess what I did? YUP! And here it is:
    Dawn Stock Stamping Stampin
    Everything Eleanor
My August 2012 Online Orders Thank You Card

If you have seen the Convention make-and-take card, you can see the similarities and the differences side-by-side. Maybe when I get that stamp set, I'll do a side-by-side comparison. But until I do...

OH - and this will be my August 2012 "Thank You!" card online orders placed through my Demo Website. Hope you'll enjoy receiving it as much as I enjoyed making it!

    Today's Card Classes

WOW! Did we have fun today! We even took a lunch break for some Phineas & Ferb Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. The boy had Campbell's SpaghettiO's and Meatballs. I do not believe I have EVER had or served EITHER of those at a card class before! Isn't it nice when you craft with friends?  (smile)

The final scheduled classes are in September and October. There will also be the Stamp of the Month Club in August (Blooming With Kindness), September, and October. Additional specialty classes will also be offered. Monthly scheduled classes will resume in January. Continue to watch the Classes postings - it is right above this post headline. (Stamp of the Month Club is listed under Clubs.)

Ok, now that the business part is out of the way, today we played with Nature Walk, Everything Eleanor (my new favorite stamp set!), and Joyous Celebrations (Holiday catalog).

The Nature Walk card used a couple of the Big Shot items - can you tell what they are? I saw a swap card from one of my friends who attended Convention. Unfortunately I couldn't remember which stamp set was used and I had Nature Walk, so this may be a CASE*  :)  This card is BEAUTIFUL. I'm actually making some extras but without a saying on the front or on the inside. Makes a wonderful gift set of cards.

Everything Eleanor - uses a really cool fold. I saw this online on Dawn Griffith's site (it's from 2009!). The paper uses 12" x 12" paper (you need the 12" length on this one!). The other Dawn used a card front (4.25" x 5.5") on the front of the card. I altered it slightly by using a card front on the front AND back of the card. Makes it a little "bulky" but it is a work of art! Little bit of extra work, so you really want to send this card to someone special! It will DEFINITELY need an extra stamp! Let me know if you'd like me to demonstrate this card at YOUR next workshop!

Joyous Celebrations - a new set out of the Holiday Catalog. LOVE how versatile this set is! If you already have your Holiday Catalog, you can tell that it is a direct CASE* from the sample in the Holiday Catty. I placed a little bit of Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper behind the oval. Add a little Dazzling Details and this card just sparkles!

So without further ado, hope you enjoy the cards as much as we did making them today!

    Stamp of the Month Club!

    Wow! It's August 1st?! Really? August 1st!!!

Where does the time go? So many stamps, so little time... as the (modified) saying goes...  :)

Well, I hope you have been enjoying your summer and for those of you who purchased the "Reason to Smile" stamp set for $5 - I KNOW you have been! Isn't that just such a fun stamp set? I've made several cards with it and blogged about those cards too! Shame it is now gone, huh?
    Dawn Stock Stamping Stampin
    Reason to Smile
    Limited Edition Stamp Set

You've heard me say this before, but when you purchase a stamp set, you should purchase it with the idea that you will be able to make five different things with it. Not just one design, made in five different colors - see I know how my mind works, huh?

Seriously, to get the most bang for your buck, you should be able to make five different things with each stamp set. NOW - that said - if there is something that is your passion, your life, your end-all-be-all, then of course - you should purchase that stamp set without the five designs in your mind. You'll use those more than the five times!

My examples include coffee designs (believe me - if I could take it intravenously, I would!), computers, bicycling, and whatever-the-boy-is-into-at-the-moment stamp sets. I purchase those as long as I like the designs. I know I'll get the five different things out of those!

So, how many of you have ever looked at the variety of card designs, liked a design so you purchased the stamp set, made that ONE card, and then the stamp set sat on your shelf? OH yeah, and this is if you had time to get to the stamp set to make the one card!  Anyone? Please tell me I'm not alone - I used to do that all the time!

How would YOU like to purchase a stamp set and make three designs with it WITHIN the month you purchase the stamp set? Does that sound like something you'd like to do?

I'm going to try something new for the next three months (August, September, and October). If this is successful, I'll continue this in January.

    Here's the deal:
    • Each month, a new stamp set will be chosen and the price will be provided for the stamp set and class - one stop shopping!
    • You will use YOUR stamp set to make the designs here at my home. No waiting on the stamps because you will be using your own!
    • You will leave here that day with three different designs and be ready to go!
    • No more "I like that stamp set BUT..." reasons. You've used your stamp set!

August - Blooming With Kindness. Contact me by August 10th so I may order the stamp set for you. THEN, come to my home on Friday, August 24th or Saturday, August 25th, to make the card designs. (IF there is enough interest, I can add a morning class too.) When you register for this class, your cost will be $25 for clear mount ($31 for wood mount). This cost will include your stamp set AND the three designs when you attend the class on August 24th or 25th. (And yes, you will need to attend the class to receive the three designs)

Here's one card I've already made with this wonderful set:
    Dawn Stock Stamping Stampin
    Blooming With Kindness

You will need to bring with you:
    • YOUR stamp set (with your blocks, if clear mount). You will need to have your stamp set ready to go when you arrive. That means mounted, put together, ready to put ink on the stamps!
    • YOUR crafter's kit
    • Your favorite "handstamped by" or personalized stamp set - you want to be able to show that YOU made these designs!
    • IF you have one, please bring your Stampin'Scrub. That way, you aren't having to wait on someone else to use mine and it is right there with you!
      • IF you bring your Stampin'Scrub - I'll have a small gift for you!
You will use my stamp pads, markers, Sizzix die cuts, embossing folders, etc. - whatever the design uses - to make these. A GREAT way to try-before-you-buy if you've been on the fence!

And, I will NOT be posting the pictures of the designs from this special class on my blog. You will need to attend the class so you have your OWN designs.

**NOTE: If you already have the stamp set and wish to attend the class, the cost will be $15. RSVP by August 10th if you wish to attend the class. Your payment is your RSVP.
