Four Frames and Trust God Notebook

How stinkin' cute is this?

* Place a $25 online merchandise order with me between now and July 4th, and you will receive one of these cute notebooks, as a "Thank You" from me!

Well, I wish I could take credit for the entire concept and design, but alas, I cannot. I saw a YouTube video for this but she used a junior legal pad. I had some of those little notepads that are about 3.5" x 5", so I altered her measurements and made my own! Thanks to Melissa for sharing her gifts and talents!

Here's what it looks like when it is partially open...
Notice that the notebook has matching DSP too?
And finally, check out the pen! I ordered these YEARS ago when Stampin'Up! used a different vendor for some of our supplies. The advertising is good on the pen, but unfortunately, the ink didn't work very well so I stopped giving them out when they stopped working. Well, my wonderful husband found some ink refills for me so I will now be giving out these pens until my supplies run out.
Place a $25 online merchandise order through me by July 4th
and receive one of these little cuties!
I made this for a friend as a little notebook so she can keep her prayers written down and close to her. Hope she likes it! I'll also deliver (or send) one of these to each of my customers who places an online order with me through July 4th. In accordance with Stampin'Up! rules, this offer is limited to U.S. customers only.

And last, I will not be posting this upcoming weekend. It is my hubby's birthday and we have family in town to celebrate.

SO, here are a few gentle reminders until we "talk" again:
* The "Take the Cake" signup promotion ends on June 30th. You can join online through my demo website (after you get to my website, click "join now" and start filling out YOUR information!).
* The "We {Heart} Our Hostesses" will continue through July 31st. GREAT way to earn EXTRA (and FREE) merchandise!
* The "Reason to Smile" promotion begins July 1st (and ends July 31st). If you place a $50 merchandise order in July, you can purchase the "Reason to Smile" stamp set for just $5.  NOTES (for the Reason to Smile promotion):  1) There is a limit of one per customer, and 2) if you place the order online, you will NOT be automatically prompted to enter the $5 Item Number - so have your item number ready to go!

Supplies used to make the notebook:
Pink Pirouette Marker (part of the Subtles Stampin'Write Markers set)
Wild Wasabi Marker (part of the Subtles Stampin'Write Markers set)

More Papillon Potpourri!

I just LOVE the Papillon Potpourri stamp set - and it's coordinating Elegant Butterfly punch - makes card making just so easy!

Well, as many of you know, my folks are in town. My mom is also a crafter and a former downline member. So, while she is here, because we have been so busy, we haven't been able to craft much. But we did tonight! Here's what we made:
Mine is on the left, Mom's is on the right.
And here they are individually...
Mine - using current colors of Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse - all the NEW 2012-2014 InColors.
Aren't they just beautiful?!
Mom's - combining the old with the new...
Using Raspberry Ripple, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, and Concord Crush
(Pear and Concord are retired 2010-2012 InColors)
And the closeups of the butterflies. Mine used Stampin'Dimensionals to pop up the entire butterfly. Mom used one Stampin'Dimensional in the middle of the butterfly's body and she made his wings "fly".
Close-up with entire butterfly using Stampin'Dimensionals.
Close-up with butterfly using Stampin'Dimensionals in the CENTER only.
Makes his wings look like he is mid-flight!

Did you notice how complete the ink coverage was with the new InColors FOAM stamp pads? Wow, huh? Don't have to press as hard and it looks so pretty! Here's the Stampin'Up! video about the new ink pads, if you haven't seen it yet:

We both used the same design from the big catty (page 6, top right picture, if you want to check it out yourself). Although the catalog is no longer called an "Idea Book" and Catalog, you gotta just LOVE the samples that are throughout the book. I always think it is hardest to come up with the designs. What about you?

Here are the supplies we used:
Papillon Potpourri stamp set
Elegant Butterfly Punch
Whisper White cardstock
Primrose Petals cardstock
Concord Crush cardstock (retired)
White Bakers Twine
Finishing Touches Edgelits
Big Shot Die-cutting Machine
Raspberry Ripple Classic Stampin'Pad

Summer Starfruit Classic Stampin'Pad
Gumball Green Classic Stampin'Pad
Midnight Muse Classic Stampin'Pad
Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin'Pad

Papillon Potpourri and an Easy Purse!

Crafters -

You have seen these purses before. I made them a couple of years ago, I have shown our Church's Card Ministry members how to make them, and we even sold a few of them a year ago (maybe two?) at our annual fundraiser. The snack size candies fit PERFECTLY into these, as do incentive stamps!
"Old" design using retired DSP and cardstock for handles
Well, fast forward to today. My wonderful upline Sandi posted an Easy Purse pdf for all of us to see. It is the exact same pattern I used those couple of years ago, but with an updated twist. She used the Labels Collection Framelits and ribbon! She also used the Mixed Bunch stamp set and Blossom Punch, but I'm not so much the flower-type of girl. BUT I am a butterfly-type of gal, so I used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and Elegant Butterfly Punch.
Really amps this up by using the Labels Collection Framelits, doesn't it?
And here's a close up of the butterfly. VERY easy to do this, especially if you use your Stamp-a-ma-jig!
Pop-up the butterfly punchout, add a little bit of pearls, and it is so pretty!

So, my special until the end of June is...
  • IF you purchase the new Labels Collection Framelits from me, I'll give you one of these little cuties with an incentive stamp inside! Incentive stamps cannot be purchased by customers; only demonstrators can purchase them.
  • I have a BUNCH of retired Designer Series papers, so you'll also receive six 6"x6" pieces so you can make your own with your OWN Labels Collection Framelits (limited to DSP on hand, but please know that I have a BUNCH of it in all different colors!).
  • This special is good for online orders as well as those placed by contacting me personally. (I am limited to US customers only, in accordance with Stampin'Up! rules!). My online store is: and you will click "Shop Now" in the top right corner.
  • You can add a little ribbon and you are done! These also work wonderfully for gift cards, as an "ornament" on a tree, and are perfect for favors at baby showers and the like!

Here are the supplies:
I used a retired ribbon, but 5/8" Crochet Trim Victoria Ribbon would look BEAUTIFUL on this one!

And here is the original post that Sandi sent us to. It is in German, so you will have to use some type of Translate unless sprechen Sie Deutsch (I used Google Translate, so please forgive if my syntax is off!). ALSO - keep in mind - this is a demonstrator from another country. Sometimes they have different items than we do...

Postage Due and the 2012 Tour de France

Crafters -

As many of you have heard me say before, don't purchase a stamp set unless you can make five different designs out of it. Not the same design, in five different colors or with five different sentiments, but five different designs.

Of course, there are always exceptions. I purchase dinosaur sets like Dinoroar because we have a boy. Ours likes dinosaurs and I know I'll use this set over and over and over again. Well, hubby is a cyclist - he participates in a number of rides that support cancer research and the like. So when I saw Postage Due, I knew I had to get that set! Especially with him participating in Pelotonia this year. You can read more about his rider profile here.

Well... he also watches the Tour de France! And the Tour begins Saturday, June 30th. It is on our TV throughout the day and it is recorded each and every day, each and every stage. This year, he is going to be able to go to France to actually watch a couple of the stages in person! We are VERY excited about that.

SO, with all of that in mind, I was finally able to play with the Postage Due stamp set. What do you think?
Postage Due stamp set
And keeping with the Tour mentality, there is the yellow bike (representing the yellow jersey or the maillot jaune which is awarded each day to the stage winner), the green "3" (representing the green jersey for the sprinter), and the red flower (representing the red in the polka dots for the "King of the Mountains" jersey).

I did not use the same shades of those colors because anyone who is involved in cycling will tell you - they use really bright shades of colors - so they can be seen, is my guess.  :)  However, most of the colors are a little harsh on the eyes. I chose to use my Color Coach, along with the colors that were in the Fan Fair Designer Series Papers

Hope you enjoy the card as much as I enjoyed making it!

All supplies are listed below:
More Mustard marker (or part of the Regals Stampin'Write markers)
Riding Hood Red marker (or part of the Regals Stampin'Write markers)
Island Indigo marker (or part of the 2011-2013 InColor Stampin'Write markers)

Welcome Nina!

Is this a GREAT time to be a demonstrator or WHAT? And is this a GREAT time to join my "Latte Joy Stampers" group too? You betcha!

My former downline member Nina had resigned from Stampin'Up! And guess what? She just re-joined TODAY, taking advantage of the wonderful Starter Kit - that she customizes! I think she said that she is already working on her Wish List especially since she can preorder out of the HOLIDAY catalog!

The Holiday catty isn't available for customers to order from until August 1st. BUT Stampin'Up! demonstrators can preorder from it beginning July 1st!!!! Stampin'Up! does it that way so the demonstrators can get some of the items into our hands to play with, I mean to prepare our samples for the next month! Yeah.... that's what I meant to type...  Aren't they wonderful for offering that opportunity to us? I think so!

And, because Nina was a demonstrator for about six years, she knows the ropes and how everything already works. She has a wonderful group of customers and she also offers card classes.

**Some of my customers are friends with Nina. If you have a close relationship with Nina and wish to have HER as your demonstrator, please let me know and I can remove you from my mailing list. You will want to get on NINA'S mailing list and support her as your friend!

You may notice that I blogged about the same thing last night when I mentioned that Charlene also joined. Please know that I mean this. While yes, I would hate to lose any customer, if you are more comfortable with someone else, the most important thing about this wonderful "cult" as my husband calls it (see this post), is that you have a demonstrator that meets YOUR needs - card classes, workshops, retired items sales, someone YOU feel comfortable with, someone who matches YOUR style, that type of thing. (FYI - Each time I receive a card from Nina, I always have to show it to my mom. She just LOVES Nina's style! I think my mom and Nina were sisters in a former life... - smile...)

Now.... to get Charlene and Nina to think about Convention 2013 - which is Stampin'Up!'s 25th anniversary!!!! THAT one will definitely be the one to attend...

So with that, I will bid you good night. I can't wait to have our first Latte Joy Stampers meeting!

Welcome Charlene!

Crafters -

As many of you know, it is a GREAT time to join the Stampin'Up! family and my team of "Latte Joy Stampers"! My friend Charlene was looking at several items in the new catalog. It was actually CHEAPER for her to become a demonstrator than for her to pay me!

So, after much thought and prayer, she joined today (I do have to tell you - I LOVE some of the stamp sets she ordered with her starter kit)! What a deal! All the business supply things like catalogs (a FULL box of EIGHT - yes 8!), order forms, and workshop postcards. And the Make a Cake stamp set, Patio Party Designer Series Paper, and Patio Party Digital Collection DVD (up to a $48 value!). And then she was able to pick the items she wanted in her Starter Kit - WITH NO SHIPPING CHARGES - all for a total of $99!!!! As I've said before, and you will probably hear me say several times in the future, if you are even THINKING about having a workshop - you really should become a demonstrator. You don't have to have the workshops and parties if you don't want to... You just sign up and get the discount for YOU!

**Some of my customers are friends with Charlene. If you have a close relationship with Charlene and wish to have HER as your demonstrator, please let me know and I can remove you from my mailing list. You will want to get on CHARLENE'S mailing list and support her as your friend!

Remember, the extra items for the Make a Cake set - that expires on June 30th. Don't delay if you want that extra stuff included in YOUR Starter Kit!

10 More Days Until...

That's right!

Only 10 more days for you to:

Hope to see you soon!

The New Foam Ink Stamp Pads!

Did you like the previous post? The one that showed how the new foam stamp pads worked? Showed how much better the ink was (if not check it out! Look at the difference between the Plum flower and the raspberry flower).

Well, here's a video from Stampin'Up! that shows the whole thing in detail, INCLUDING the new labels!

It's almost like Christmas came early this year huh? I've met Shannon West at SU! events before and she is just as lovely in person as she is in this video. Hope you enjoyed her video from Stampin'Up!

    Fabulous Florets and More!

I don't know what my new favorite item is out of the new catalog! Do you? I know I like the card on page 181 of the new Stampin'Up! catalog so I played with my Fabulous Florets stamp set, along with some other new items.

First, using my new "pages" for my Color Coach, I decided to start with the Raspberry Ripple color. One of the color combinations was the new InColor Raspberry Ripple, which coordinates with Perfect Plum and Crumb Cake. (I'll list all of the supplies at the end of this posting).

Then, again using my Color Coach, the other coordinating colors that go with Raspberry Ripple are Pretty in Pink and Old Olive. With this card, I decided to play with my new Raspberry Ripple FOAM Classic Stampin' Pad. WOW! Do you see how perfectly the new FOAM stamp pad works? WOW!!!!

And here they are side-by-side. Using the Crumb Cake combination, it gives a muted image. Using the Pretty in Pink, perks up the card and makes it look "happy." Both cards are exactly the same design, I just changed the colors.

OH - and did you notice the piercing? I have always LOVED my SU! paper piercer and it slayed me when they retired it. The SU! version worked so much better than the "other" name brands - and yes, I have one of the "others". I just didn't know what they could provide that would replace it. Well, check out the NEW SU! paper-piercer:

It works SO nicely - it is WELL worth the $3.95 price tag! You can always use coupons at the other Big Box stores. Feel free to. Then, when you come to one of my card classes or workshops or "borrow" one of your friends... contact me to order yours! I love mine!

    Hope you enjoy the cards!

Supplies used (click on the item to be taken to my online store):

    My SU! order has arrived!

And it arrived today! It was so nice coming home from my "real" job - and finding the SU! box... especially since Mr. Brown is usually here SEVERAL hours later! And this was on top of a GREAT day at work - my friend Jen called me and asked me to come out to her area to assist with some work training. God is GOOD!  :)

SO, after going through everything AND I even mounted ALL of the stamp sets I ordered and they are already on my shelf! Anyway, I logged onto the Stampin'Up! website to look at the sample they provided for this new stamp set and I made it my own. I changed a couple of things and LOVE how easy this card and this design is!
    Reason to Smile stamp set

Don't recognize it? It is called "Reason to Smile." PERFECT for my day on Wednesday! This is a stamp set that will be available for July ONLY! AND only if you purchase a $50 order - you will be able to receive this stamp set for only $5... Yes - $5!!!! Where else can you get a stamp set of this quality that is a 2-step stamp set for only $5?! It is so cheery, you just cannot help but have a "reason to smile." Wonder if that is how they came up with the name.

One of my other new stamp sets is called "Blooming with Kindness" and is pretty much, a self-contained stamp set. It has the flower that can be colored with markers so you have different shades, it can be used as a watermark for a subtle stamp, well... you get the idea. It also comes with several sayings - birthday, thank you, hope, kindness and here for you sentiments. I'm actually thinking of offering a card class on this stamp set, IF you purchase the stamp set from me. What do you think? Would YOU like to attend this class and get some great ideas? Let me know so I can schedule a class!
    Blooming With Kindness stamp set

To show you how wonderful stamping is - here are both cards together. The same colors, punch, and embossing folder are used. Just the stamp set is changed. And it gives it a different look.
    Left - Blooming With Kindness
    Right - Reason to Smile

OOOhhhh, did you notice? Thanks to the talents of Heather Wright-Porto and her "Dawn-proof instructions", I have added a signature image to my photos. Thanks so much to Heather for sharing her gifts and talents! And thanks to my friend Steph for pointing to Heather's blog entry!

Here are the items you need to recreate these cards (CLICK on the items and it will take you to my online store). I look forward to hearing from you!
Reason to Smile (not available to customers until July 1st. Want it before? Join my Team and you can preorder it!)

    Today's Mini Downline meeting

    Crafters -

As many of you know, I rejoined Stampin'Up! about 6 weeks ago. I received my starter kit with all my paper, placed my preorder (WONDERFUL part of being an SU! demo), and have had several events since I rejoined (card classes, retired sale/workshop).

Well, when you quit Stampin'Up!, you lose your downline. Thankfully, they have remained friends. :)  So, while I am rebuilding my business - let me know if you want to have a workshop! - I am also rebuilding my downline. With the $99 Starter Kit, it is a wonderful time to become a demonstrator at ANY time.

Today, I held a mini downline meeting for my former downline ladies and a few who are thinking of joining my current downline, the Latte Joy Stampers. Several of the stampers were at graduation parties, out of town, and the like; but there were FOUR of us here today. It was so much fun to craft with these friends today.

Here are the cards we made:
    Beautiful Season

    Just Believe

    Memorable Moments

    Summer Afternoon
This one has received one vote - Thanks Jeannette!

I think we all had fun! Which one is YOUR favorite? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Hostess Special and Retired Items For Sale

    Crafters -

I just have to say "WOW!"  After my Open House / Retired Items sale over the weekend - thanks to those who came and shopped - it was MUCH appreciated - I'm getting a bit more organized.

Well today, I received a phone call and a few of the stamp sets are now sold. You can view them here, if you are looking for any retired items. AND today, my hubby received an email from that online place with a special goings on right now. SO, I will be placing the stamp sets on that online place by Wednesday.  ***UPDATE: The Retired Items have now been removed from the blog.

AND, I am placing my first demonstrator order. I'm still entering it and tweaking the items - I must have played with this order about a dozen times! And because it is my first demonstrator order and I'm placing it within 45 days of rejoining Stampin'Up!, this wonderful company even gives me an extra 10% off - it's like receiving FREE shipping!

AND because I have been planning this order FOREVER - I also was able to get the merchandise amount to the $450 so I am able to participate in the "We {Heart} Our Hostesses" promotion offered by Stampin'Up! - to receive an additional $50 in FREE merchandise as a Hostess benefit! :) WOW!

AND as an added demonstrator benefit, I was also able to order something extra (picture me doing the sing-songy voice of "something extra"). I cannot WAIT to play with this extra when my order arrives! Remember, we are not allowed to post pictures of the actual item, BUT I can post pictures of things that I make with it. If you want to see it when I post it, make sure you enter your email address on the right-hand side and you'll receive the updates!

OK, and the final "AND..." Here is the card I sent today to my friend who placed her order with me shortly after I rejoined SU! She wasn't able to attend the party on Saturday, so I'm mailing her certificate to her. Hope she likes the card!
LOVE the InColor Primrose Petals - LOVE IT!!!!
What do you think? Looks like the ones we made on Saturday, huh? Since she was unable to attend, I changed the color, used a different stamp, used my SU! demonstrator workshop words stamp set. But that way, she has her OWN copy of the card too!

Today's Open House and My Many Stamp Sets...

UPDATE: I have posted pictures of the many stamp sets here. Just click "here" and it will take you to that page. If you would like additional pictures, let me know!

WOW! I had so much fun today with the crafters who came to my home. We played with some of the new InColors, one of the new hostess sets, and we made THIS card.
    Uses new:
    Hostess set, Summer Afternoon
InColor - Rasberry Ripple Cardstock with Early Espresso Classic Ink
    Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper
Oval Accent Bigz Clear Sizzix Die
    All kinds of new stuff!
Just click on the item and you can see it in my online store!

    And here's a close-up of the puppy - isn't he cute?  :)

And about 15-20 of my stamp sets found new homes. They were looking to leave me anyway - they needed someone to play with them.

So thank you to my crafting friends who came over today and spent time with me. And thanks to my dad for sending me my Grandma's Coffee Cake recipe! We moved here about 18 months ago and I KNOW I've seen my cookbook since then, just couldn't locate it this morning! So my dad sent me the recipe. Isn't he a GREAT guy?

And because I have a plethora of retired stamp sets  - here's the proof too!

    and from the side view.

I will be posting them throughout today - I may need to add a page for them! If you see something you like, please send me an email. If you live close, we can connect. If I need to ship to you, let me know the ZIP code and I can send a Paypal invoice.  **UPDATE: I have posted pictures of the many stamp sets here. Just click "here" and it will take you to that page. If you would like additional pictures, let me know!
