Flores Suaves

Flores Suaves is another one of my "go-to" stamp sets. I'll bet you don't recall seeing this stamp set - unless you have been to one of my downline meetings, come to one of my card classes, or have the Spanish Supplement. Yes Virginia, the Celebrando Creatividad Hispanic catalog (some refer to it as the Spanish Supplement) also retires tonight at midnight. The good news is that there is also an MDS/Digital Download available here!

So using the retiring InColors markers, I began with this card.
Flores Suaves Stamp Set
Just used Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz markers on Blushing Bride cardstock.
Don't forget to decorate the envelope too!

Then, because I hadn't used the Peach Parfait color yet (I did stamp the butterfly inside using Concord Crush), I added the script in Peach Parfait - I wanted to use ALL FIVE retiring colors on this card. So, this bumped the card up just a bit with the masking technique (let me know if you want this technique demonstrated at YOUR workshop!).
Added the script stamp in Flores Suaves using Peach Parfait.
Really steps it up, huh?

And finally, because I did want to add some of the Concord Crush to the front of the card, I added some Concord Crush Stitched Poly ribbon, to really amp it up!
Added just a little bit of the Concord Crush Stitched Poly Ribbon.
REALLY amps up the card!
AND I used all five of the retiring InColors on this card!

And here are the cards, side-by-side. I like all of them!
Left was the starting card, using only two markers and one stamp.
Middle adds another marker and stamp.
Right adds a bit of ribbon.
Three cards.
You decide which YOU like the best and then make it yours!

If you wish to recreate this card, here are the supplies you will need - AND you'd better hurry - They retire tonight! Some of them are even REDUCED! Oh - the MDS download will still be available...
Blushing Bride Cardstock - individual package is now sold out!
(or the InColor Assorted Cardstock, if you want all of the colors - available in 8.5"x11" size ONLY)

Let me know if you have any questions!

Pocket Silhouettes

Pocket Silhouettes has always been one of my favorite stamp sets. I'm going to miss it when it retires on Thursday. It's one of my "go to" stamp sets. As you can see by looking at the stamp set here, it comes with four different silhouettes and two different sayings. PERFECT for "thank you" cards, along with "thinking of you" cards. It can even be used without the sayings for a nice note card. It is so easy to make a nice card with this stamp set. OH - and did I mention that it is also available in MDS? Click here to purchase the digital download.

So today, I have been playing with this set. Here are two of the cards I made with that set.
This is a smaller card - 3.5" x 5"
Not sure if I like the bow on it or not...
What do you think?
Same exact card design, same exact color markers used, same exact embossing folder.
Just changed the color of the cardstock and ribbon.
I also made this a regular A2 size card (4.25" x 5.5").
Again, not sure on the ribbon.
What are your thoughts?
And here is a close-up of the Pear Pizzazz card.

Do you recognize the green color? You should! It has been one of my favorite InColors for the past two years! That's right - Pear Pizzazz is also retiring on Thursday. I'm having to say "good-bye" to quite a few... But I'll also get to say "hello" to quite a few NEW ones on Friday! :)

You should also notice that I used my favorite embossing folder, Finial Press Textured Embossing Folder, which is also retiring on Thursday. There are a couple of new ones that I will be receiving when I place my order out of the new catty, and they will be nice substitutes, but I just like the look of this one. Here's what MY embossing folder looks like:
Well loved embossing folder.
Well done good and faithful embossing folder.
Thank you for your service!
Notice the black markings that are on the folder? No? That's right - it is because I have used this one so much, they have worn off. You can just barely see where the black markings were!  :)  Can you tell this one is well loved? It's like my own personal velveteen rabbit (a wonderful book that is so very true).

Check back on Thursday evening for my final pictures of some of my retired items. And don't forget that you can order most of these products through Thursday. After that, no more...  :(

Supplies used (click on the items for links to my Demo website so YOU can make your own cards too!):
Pocket Silhouettes Stamp set (also available in MDS/digital download)
Pear Pizzazz 8.5" x 11" cardstock
More Mustard Marker
Cherry Cobbler Marker
Elegant Eggplant Marker
Garden Green Marker
** More Mustard and Elegant Eggplant INDIVIDUAL markers have already sold out. You can order them with the rest of the Regals markers here OR you can order the complete set of Many Marvelous Markers here.
Finial Press Embossing Folder
Big Shot Die-Cut Machine
Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon
Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon (retired a long time ago...)

AND don't forget this post, which lists my special through Thursday night at midnight. If you place an online order of $50 or more in merchandise during the month of May from me, you'll receive a Certificate at the end of the month in the amount of the normal shipping charges - to be used on a future order, AND you'll receive the new catalog NOW! Don't delay!

May 31st and June 2nd...

Crafters -

Can you believe it is almost May 31st? Many of my favorite stamp sets are retiring on that date. Several items have already sold out (don't worry - they won't sell out of the stamp sets - Stampin'Up! makes those!).

Then June 1st is the very next day! Funny how that whole calendar thing works, huh?  :)  Seriously though, the new catalog is effective at 12:00 noon Mountain Time (which is 2:00 pm Eastern). If you haven't yet seen the catalog, let me know! I have them here. OR, once Stampin'Up! is up and ready to go on June 1st, you can see it online. Here is the link on my Demo Website for the CURRENT catalog. It should be updated for the new catty when it goes live.

And then, Saturday, June 2nd from 9a-12p, following that whole calendar thing again. YOU get to come to my home and make a card, look over my retired items, participate in drawings (you must be present to win), and generally have a good time visiting with friends. AND, if you are a customer/new customer and you bring someone "new-to-me" - YOU will receive a "thank you" gift from me. FYI - the retired items are cash only (if you are a customer, please talk with me about paying by check). You can also place an order with me during this time - I will have coupons good for... well... you have to come to the party to find out! OH - and you can pay by credit card for your merchandise order! Win-win for all!

Hoping to have a few more items to display for Saturday - I'd better get crackin'!

I almost forgot - can you believe it? We will have an official downline, for my new downline members, in July. We have to get together to share our gifts and talents, don't we.  :)  I think the new name for my new downline will be the "Latte Joy Stampers." I like my lattes, and I LOVE  JOY-fold cards, and my fabulous new upline's group is the "Happy Stamping" group. I think that would be a fitting name for us. (FYI - my former downline were called the "Dames" and are a wonderful  group of women. Unfortunately, many have left during my six-month break. However, they are my friends first and foremost, and they have a new upline/are no longer part of my downline...  :(   Glad they are still my friends!).  I will be adding a "page" to this blog for the downline updates. With the $99 Starter Kit, YOU could become my newest downline member too! Let me know and I'd LOVE to talk with you about this.

Leadership 2013...

...has been announced! Who wants to go?!

Wow! I am just RUNNING headlong into technology, aren't I?  (smile)

I'm sure you have noticed, my "Like" my Facebook page is on the left. Well, did you notice the "Follow me on Pinterest" on the right? YUP! I finally joined!

Okay, in reality I've seen Pinterest, I've seen the buttons on others blogs and websites, but hadn't really looked at it. Why does it seem that there just aren't enough hours in the day for all the FUN stuff? At my card class on Saturday, my friend Rhonda apparently looks at Pinterest. She told me that I should really think about putting some of my cards there.

So I've placed a handful of cards on it. What do you think?

And here are a couple of cards that were made at a one of my card classes.
Do you like the blue matting around the white flower/punchout?
You are correct! Stampin'Up! doesn't sell the nesting sizes.
And you can do this with ANY punch.
Punch out TWO of the punch and then cut them in half
(one longways, one shortways).
Place them together to make it a nested size.
Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy!

Using Thoughts and Prayers.
LOVE this stamp set - so glad it is hanging around for another year!
Uses Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive
(and some retired Cottage Wall DSP - although you can STILL get this as a Digital Download).  :)

Both cards are very easy to recreate. Punches, some paper and just one stamp. When my new stampers did the Thoughts and Prayers card with the markers - they couldn't get over how easy it was to do - and with such a GREAT result!

And you have just one week left from today to order from the old catalog. Do you have your new catty yet? If not, let me know. I have a few here!

Change to Stampin'Up!'s Policy

Crafters -

As many of you know, I just rejoined Stampin'Up! after waiting six months (their rules, not mine). Believe me, every time I called them, emailed them or had contact with them, I let them know that I thought six months was a little long. Everyone does things for different reasons, and I won't get into all of that right now, but sometimes changes need to be made.

Well, Stampin'Up! listens to their demonstrators (I'm confident I'm not the only one who contacted them about this). They are changing the 6-month waiting period to just 90-days! While this didn't help me, because it was not effective until this month, it may help someone else.

There is not a card or creative post today. We worked on 5-yards of mulch this evening. Team Stock completed it within 6 hours! And I'm a little tired...  :)  But in a good way. I'll be back at crafting tomorrow - remember the old catalog ends on the 31st. You have but a week to order from the retired lists. Here's what five-yards of mulch looks like in the driveway in the early afternoon.
Five cubic yards of mulch.
When it was delivered, I thought... that doesn't seem like very much.
My body is now telling me that it WAS very much!  :)
And here's what it looks like after dark! But it is DONE!!!! Thanks so much to my wonderful husband for all the help with it. Isn't it nice to have help?
And it is all gone!

Jobs and chores just seem to go faster when you are working WITH someone, huh? Crafting time just SPEEDS by when I'm with my friends. How about you?

Then the Lord God said,
“It is not good for the man to be alone.
I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
- Genesis 2:18 (New Living Translation)

Alrighty then, onto the statement from Stampin'Up! If you are a former demonstrator or thinking about changing your upline for whatever reason, here's what Stampin'Up! listed:

Change to Rejoin Policy

May 22, 2012
We regularly evaluate our demonstrator policies, and review your feedback on how they impact you and your businesses. We have recently reviewed several policies based on feedback, and would like to announce a change to our rejoin policy that became effective May 1, 2012

The previous rejoin policy states that, once a demonstrator drops, she can either sign up again immediately under the same upline (if that upline is active), or wait six months and sign up under a new upline. The change, effective May 1, is that now a demonstrator must only wait 90 days from her effective drop date before signing up under a new upline. The effective drop date is the last day of the month in which she resigns, or the last day of the pending month if she fails to meet her quarterly minimum.

The purpose of this change is to reduce a barrier to returning to Stampin' Up! once a demonstrator has dropped. We recognize that many circumstances can contribute to a demonstrator deciding to drop or resign her business with Stampin' Up!, and there may be legitimate reasons for a demonstrator to join a new downline group. While we want to accommodate these demonstrators' needs, we still need to protect the stability of an upline's business, therefore in addition to the 90-day waiting period, sales history, downline, and title cannot be restored when a demonstrator is dropped and rejoins, and she will be considered a brand new demonstrator.

Over the next couple of months, we will announce a few more changes in policy designed to make your business a little easier, so stay tuned!

Almost out of time...

Crafters -

May 31st is fast approaching. And the "old" catalog expires then. Here's a card I did when I had my retired items sale last month. The first one is just the plain old version. The second one uses an embossing folder and markers. Just took a minute more to complete. Click on the individual pictures to enlarge them for more detail.

Upsy Daisy

Upsy Daisy "amped" up.
Just took a minute longer to complete.

Side-by-side comparison. What do you think?
Remember, the person you send the card to will be pleased that you thought of them
and sent them the card.
It doesn't have to be amped-up to make a difference...

Upsy Daisy is retiring. The Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP) is retiring. And one of my all-time favorite embossing folders, Finial Press, is retiring. You can click on any of these to be taken to my online store and you can order them there (you can also call me if you'd prefer). Once the DSP and/or embossing folders are gone, they are gone; they use up the stock on hand and they do not make more. The Upsy Daisy stamp set will be available until May 31st. That's because Stampin'Up! makes their own stamp sets, so they will be able to provide those through the end of the list

Making a Difference!

Crafters -

Some of you have heard me tell about how I began cardmaking. For those of you who haven't, this post is for you.

WAY back when I went to a scrapbook party. It was actually in August 2001. Had a BLAST! And I began this papercrafting journey. Fast forward a couple of years. I was a member of MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) which is a WONDERFUL program if you are a mom of a young one! So I had other moms as friends who had younger children.

One night, my friend Laura and I were at our local scrapbooking store at an Open Crop. She was making cards and I was scrapbooking. Because we were both in MOPS, we began talking about this and that. During the discussion, we began talking about sending a card to each of the moms for her birthday. Of course the scrapbooking store had their dies for us to use, so I used them! I didn't know how to make a card that would be a "normal" card, so I just used one of the die cuts. It cut four small squares out of the front of the card, so it looked like a window. Then using different colors, I cut out balloons. I ran home and got my embroidery floss so the balloons would have tails. The balloons were visible through the little windows. I had a "bow" punch that was no bigger than 1/2 inch and punched that out to make it look like the tails were all "tied" together with this little punchie. And then I borrowed Laura's "Happy Birthday" stamp and her ink pad! No fancy corners, edges, no pop-dots. It was just a card.

So I began sending these out to the moms when it was their birthdays. Several months into this, one of the moms came up to me to thank me for her card. She was always really quiet - and well, I'm the bull in the china shop type of gal - and for her to come up to me was important, I could tell.

As we are briefly talking, I asked her if she had a nice birthday. She got kinda quiet again and told me that her parents were unavailable (if memory serves, they were out of town), her husband was tied up and had forgotten, and her children were little - let's face it, with toddlers, YOU have to tell them when it is your birthday. They don't know.... In short, this "just a card" that I made months previous was the only card she received for her birthday. But that one card made a difference.

You don't have to have all the bells and whistles to make a card. Our boy makes cards all the time and he just uses construction paper! Here are two very simple and easy cards I've made that used nothing but cardstock and ink pad and colored pencils. I did put a little bit of ribbon on the green one. FYI - the green one uses the Ronald McDonald Stamp Set that is sold by Stampin'Up! The blue one is a retired butterfly but ANY butterfly would work!
Make a Difference in someone else's life today!

You can make a difference in many different ways. It doesn't have to be a card - it can be a telephone call, a hug, listening, or just by being a good friend. In the movie "It's a Wonderful Life", the lead character comes to realize that he didn't have to travel to far off places to make a difference; he made a difference in his little corner of the world. I know I would like to think "you really did have a wonderful life George Bailey" (insert YOUR name instead of George's) - smile.

So go out and make a difference today. Sometimes it may be seeing the positives instead of the negatives. You do what YOU can to make a difference.

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ - Matthew 25:23 (NIV)

"The Cult" as My Husband Calls It... :)

My husband, who is just the nicest guy in the world, refers to my crafting as "the cult." He says it in fun - never ever begrudging me any crafting time (or money!). He also tells me that by me staying busy with the crafting, that it keeps me out of the bars - HA!  Like that is a problem with me - NOT!

Hubby is always teasing me about "did you get any new members in your cult?" and such. ANYWAY, some friends of mine, have been thinking about signing up as demonstrators. As husband and wife, they can BOTH sign up with the spouse being the "supporting demonstrator." My husband is also signed up that way. So they have been thinking about it. I had told them to go through the catalog - yes, they have the new one - and do their wish list. Not the things like "well.... it might be nice to have this or that...." not that type of wish list. A real, live "I want this" type of wish list. With the items you know you will purchase and use. With the things you like. THAT type of wish list. You know the kind I'm talking about.

With Stampin'Up!'s $99 Starter Kit, you get up to $125 worth of merchandise. When I signed up this month, I got mine to $124.96 - I was so proud of myself; I just about broke my arm patting myself on the back (smile).

So, as I'm talking to my friends this morning, they tell me that their list was EXACTLY $125!!!! WHAT?!?! How did that happen?! She even got out the adding machine and ran a tape of the figures! I knew I liked her! $125 EXACTLY!!!! WOW!

And guess what - I think they are really seriously thinking about signing up now. 1) He'll save 25% on his starter kit (because it cost $125 and he's getting it for $99), 2) a savings of 10% because there is no shipping on the starter kit - just the tax, and 3) my downline meetings. Sometimes it helps to see the benefit of WHY you should sign up when it is listed in black and white.

Then later today, I received a Facebook message from another friend who came to the May 19th card class. Have YOU "liked" my Facebook Page yet? It was her FIRST time making cards with me. I have known her since 1994 - almost 20 years and could never get her over here. Well, she came on Saturday and she had fun! She's even been showing her cards to others! I'm so glad she came. She caught on right away and completed her cards lickety-split. Personally, I think she was holding out on me...

How do you think I should tell my wonderful hubby that I'm getting MORE members in our little cult?  Maybe I'll make him a card and tell him! NAH, I don't know that he would appreciate it!

Here are some beautiful cards we received this past week (the first one is a little blurry - this photographer is no where NEAR as good as the actual photographer!):
This is a limited edition card too!
It is card #9 and the photographer was Dave Hermann.
Thanks Tom & Diane for the beautiful card!
You see, it was our anniversary (lucky #13!) last week. Here's another card we received - by my mom!
Stamp sets include Just Believe and Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Isn't this so pretty?
Thanks Mom & Dad!
Don't I just have the most talented people in my life?

Enjoy your day and I hope to see you here at one of the card classes or other events! United we stand!

All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing. - attributed to Edmund Burke

Please don't be someone who does nothing; DO SOMETHING AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE in your little corner of the world!

Tune in on Monday and I'll blog about how I began making cards. You really can make a difference with just one card.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. - Romans 12:6a (NIV)

Today's Card Class...

Today's card class was a big hit with those who came. According to my blogger stats, many of you enjoyed looking at the picture of the three card designs too! THANKS! I LOVE seeing those numbers!

The Christmas card was the favorite design of one - LOVE that 3D effect and it was so easy too - and the masculine card was fun with the origami shirt and modified Z-fold card.

And Geneva won the stamp set. Of course, I didn't remember that part until about 30 minutes ago - WELL after she left. :)  I just spoke with her and told her. She was pleased! And I think it is a stamp set that she does not have!

Upcoming events:

June 2nd - New Catalog Open House/Retired Items Sale, at my home 9a-12p. No need to RSVP - just come as you are. Make a card, look at the new catty, get some good deals on my retired items!
June 9th - "Mini" Downline meeting - hope to see you here if you are thinking about becoming my newest downline member!
July 7th - Christmas in July card class (details here)

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. - Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)

Thinking About Joining Stampin'Up!?

Crafters -

Stampin'Up!'s Starter Kit is now $99 and YOU get to pick the items in your starter kit. Several of you have expressed an interest in the Starter Kit and I just sent you an email. If you have been "lurking" and not quite sure on it yet, then this posting is for you!

I am going to have a "mini" downline meeting on Saturday, June 9th from 2pm until 5pm, for those who are thinking about signing up with Stampin'Up! as my newest recruit! I have invited a couple of my demonstrator friends (who were my former downline) to attend as well. My friends will be here from 2p-4p. YOU will have my attention from 4p-5p to ask any questions you may have about what you saw, what we did, how we did it, and anything else you may wish to ask about becoming a demonstrator.

IF you are interested in attending, and yes, we will be making cards, please let me know by Saturday, June 2nd so there will be enough cards for everyone to participate. If you wish to attend, but cannot let me know until AFTER June 2nd, you are more than welcome to attend - you just won't be able to make the cards.

Isn't the NEW CATALOG wonderful?

We had an orthodontist appointment yesterday and I knew it was going to be a few minutes (new brackets, changing the colors of the wires - the boy went with RED), so I brought along my new catalog.

Again, just WOW! Stampin'Up! has lowered the price to $4.50 and it is such a deal! I must have picked up about a million new  ideas while I sat in the waiting room just looking through it! And, I thought this was really cute, the waiting area is very bright and allows lots of natural light in the room. So I'm just sitting there, minding my own business, with lots of seats around me - I have NO idea how THAT happened - does that EVER happen at a medical office? Anyway, this mom walks in with her child. They sat across the room from me. After the daughter's name was called, the mom got up and came right over and sat next to me - all those empty chairs, but I was the one with the new catty. I think she liked the catalog too!  :)

It looks like it will be a beautiful day here in Central Ohio - so as my friend always says "make it a GREAT day!"

I have the NEW Catalogs!!!!

And they are just fabulous! Now, Stampin'Up! advised that they cut out a number of pages and used lighter weight paper to help cut the costs - but the end result is just as wonderful as the catalogs from previous years! I was so pleased to hold this new catty!  :)

And just wait until you see the new items in the catty! WOW! I have already started my Wish List. Can't wait until June 2nd for my new Catalog Workshop/Retired Items Sale. AND I delivered several catalogs to my customers today! (Remember, if you place an online order of $50 or more in merchandise during the month of May from me, you'll receive a Certificate at the end of the month in the amount of the normal shipping charges to be used on a future order AND the new catalog now!)

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Happy Mother's Day!

Crafters -

Today is May 13th and it is Mother's Day. This morning, our son woke up and gave me his store-bought card. He picked out a wonderful card. Then I was served Cinnabon cereal, complete with him pouring the milk for me, I made my cup of coffee and we enjoyed breakfast together - WITHOUT THE TV SET ON!!!!   :)  The boy even read me the comics - wasn't that sweet?

Then the best part happened. He said "mom, why don't we make a Mother's Day card for you?" Well... what could I say? Of course! He told me that he was going to use his own stamps (he has several!).

SO, this is what his work area looked like while he was crafting.
The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree, huh?
And here is the final result
Front of card - in English and Spanish (thanks to Google Translate!)

Inside of the card - in multiple colors!

And the back of the card!

Let me assure you, THIS card will be treasured for years to come.

...his mother treasured all these things in her heart. - Luke 2:51b

AND, he had ink on his fingers - as the saying goes "If there is ink on my fingers, there's a smile on my face." When I told him that, he smiled. What a wonderful gift...

Enjoy your day with family and friends.

OH - he also wanted to make a Mother's Day card for a friend of mine, Donna. She doesn't have children, but she and the boy have a running count of how many more hugs she has than I do (last count was around 700 or so but I'M NOT COUNTING!!!!). Anyway, he told me "she's like a mom to me, so I'm going to make her a card too." We're hoping to see her at church so he can give it to her. Hope she likes it!

May 19th Card Class

Crafters -

Here is a picture of the cards that we will be making on Saturday, May 19th. My new upline, the fabulous Sandi, suggested I post a group picture of the cards so you can see what you will be making. That part is new for me. I typically post the cards AFTER the card class. So what do you think?
Christmas, Anniversary/Wedding, and Masculine Birthday/Father's Day Cards
May 19, 2012 from 9a-12p
Reserve your spot now!

We will be doing some very fancy folding on two of the cards, embossing, punches, designer series papers, and just some fun time with some retiring items.

And just like my earlier post, all I could think of was "Stamps, and Markers, and Embellishments, OH MY!" and "DSP, (Sizzix) Die Cuts, and Punches, OH MY!" while I was making these cards. These are some of my favorite stamp sets that will be retiring, along with several of my favorite DSPs. And I just cannot believe that the Finial Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is retiring as well. That is one of my all-time favorites! Did you notice how it was used on the Cajun card (Anniversary/Wedding)?

The deadline to register and pay for this class is Wednesday, May 16th. Hope to see you here!

Saturday's Cool Fold Card - to be seen later... :)

**UPDATE: Crafters - I'll be posting a group photo of the three cards that you will be making on Saturday. After emailing with the designer of the card, I'll be posting a revised picture. Group picture is here.
This is the front of the masculine card when it is closed.
We will be adding a LOT of really cool things to this and
you will have three masculine cards for birthdays or even a special Father's Day.
There are still a few spots open for the May 19th class. Deadline to register and pay is Wednesday, May 16th.

Dawn's May Special, $99 Starter Kit, and a Cool Fold Card (soon...)

Crafters -

One of my friends placed an online order with me. My FIRST order since I just rejoined as a demonstrator. Isn't she just the nicest person for doing that?! THANK YOU!

Oh, and she placed a larger order - I think it was larger than either of us expected (ok, so really, I KNOW it was larger than either of us expected - we spoke earlier - she got SUCH good deals!). ANYWAY, to thank her for placing that order, I wanted to do something nice for her. So, after talking with her, she is going to receive a Certificate from me for her shipping charges. That way, she has some extra money to use on the NEW catalog! And yes, she is also getting the new catalog!

As you know, the Stampin'Up! Statement of the Heart is "To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments... in this we make a difference." Since my friend made a difference to me by placing that first order since I have rejoined, I'd like to share a gift with you. FOR THIS MONTH (May, 2012), when you place your order as normal, I will send you a Certificate in the amount of your normal shipping charges ($50 order minimum, no expedited charges - sorry). You will have to use the Certificate by August 31st though. And yes, you'll be able to pick up one of the new catalogs. I'll let you know when they arrive!

And seriously, if you are going to place an order of at least $125, consider becoming a demonstrator. You do not EVER have to place another order; no one comes after you with order forms. It is not a reflection on me if you only sign up for the Starter Kit. It is not a reflection on you if you "take the kit and run." IF you want to have workshops, you can. IF you want to have card classes, you can. IF you want to place lots and lots of orders, you can. This business is just GREAT! You can do as much towards your business as you wish. If you never want to place an order again, you can. If you only want to sell to yourself, you can do that too. I don't want to belabor that point, but just this evening I had TWO different people ask me about that. So please know that if you just want to sign up and get the Starter Kit and that's it, you can do that.

HERE'S the BEST NEWS TOO!!!! Stampin'Up! is allowing their NEW demonstrators, the ones who join in May, to PREORDER from the NEW CATALOG!!!! (You have to contact me for the item numbers, so you know which ones to use.) You can also order items off of any of the Retired Lists, the Clearance Rack, anything that is available! YOU get to make up what is in YOUR Starter Kit. WHAT A DEAL!!!! If you are interested, click here to go to my Demo Website to "Join Now." AND your Starter Kit comes with a BOX of the new catalogs to share with your friends! EIGHT (yes, 8) catalogs to share! YEAH!!!!

Ok, I'm hoping to make a couple of cards in the next few days. WAIT until you see the fancy folding card we are going to do on Saturday, May 19th for the card class! I'm going to post a picture by THIS Saturday. You will just LOVE it! I don't usually post the pictures BEFORE the class, but this fold is so cool! **UPDATE: Crafters - I'll be posting a group photo of the three cards that you will be making on Saturday. After emailing with the designer of the card, I'll be posting a revised picture.

As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

AAAAAAAA - The New Catalog!!!!!!

Oh My Gosh! Because I'm a demonstrator, I was able to view the new catalog online this morning. Did you hear my SCREAM!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!  :)

For those of you who like "The Wizard of Oz" (one of my favorites, although I haven't watched it in a while, gonna have to fix that!), anyway - all I could think of was "Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, OH MY!" except it was "Stamps, and Stamp Pads, and Markers, OH MY!" and "Cardstock, and DSP, and Embellishments, OH  MY!" and then "(Sizzix) Die Cuts, and Punches, and (MDS) Downloads, OH MY!"

Now, we are sworn to secrecy, so I cannot show it to you. BUT I cannot wait until June so I can place my first order!!!!!

Remember, if you place a $50 merchandise order on my online store (you can click here to go there), I'll make sure you have a new catalog. I'll call/email you when they arrive so you can come over to pick yours up!

BUT don't forget, Stampin'Up!'s new joining special. It is $99 and you get up to $125 in merchandise. SO, if you think you (and your friends) will spend at least $125 between now and October 31st (which is the first full quarter of the year, and then the one month "pending" month), SIGN UP! I am more than willing to be your demonstrator, but YOU can be your OWN best customer. Seriously, CONTACT ME if you think you might spend that amount. Your Starter Kit order can include any of the retired items, anything off the clearance rack, ANYTHING that is currently current and available to customers! AND then you also will receive YOUR OWN BOX of eight (yes, 8) catalogs are part of YOUR Starter Kit. Of course, the clincher is that you will get to attend my Downline Meetings here. My former downline will tell you... they are fun! THAT is the most important "thing" about crafting and stamping - to have fun and to share what you love! To sign up with me, click here and then "join the fun" and begin your personalized starter kit!

Stampin'Up!'s Statement of the Heart (which is actually known as the Mission Statement for those of you business types) reads: "To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments . . . in this we make a difference." LOVE THAT!

On a side note, as many of you know I am involved with a Card Ministry at my church, well, let me assure you - there are SEVERAL stamp sets that I can see being used there! YEAH!!!!!

Dawn's ONLINE Special from May 1 through May 15:
If you place an online order through my website of $50 merchandise or more, I'll make sure you receive a new 2012/2013 catalog! I'm hoping to have those by the end of the month. I'll call/email you as soon as they arrive so you can pick one up! Crafters, please read the post on May 9th. I've updated the special, I've extended the special, and I think you'll like it better too! That posting is here.

NOTE: Crafters - You may already have a demonstrator. Please talk to that demonstrator if you wish to join under her. If you do NOT have a demonstrator, I'd LOVE to be your upline! Contact me and we can talk!
