Dames January Meeting

Crafters -

Well, thanks again to my new friend and honorary Dame Gwen, I have returned from Leadership and am beginning to get caught up on posting. Classes are taking a LOT more time this go-round, so I haven't been able to craft and post as much as I would like...

Here are the items we made at on January meeting. The last four (at the end) is something they showed us at Leadership. I've revised it slightly for our Dames and thanks to my FABULOUS downline and friend, Dame Stephanie, for coming through with the Pacific Point paper - the ONLY paper I didn't have on hand!  :)

Nina's card - using the faux silk technique

Stephanie's card - and we used glitter!

Pam's card - embossing, coloring, punches - we did it all!

Sandie's card - I neglected to use the scallop border punch on mine...

Dawn's card - LOVE the red glitter paper (on the little heart) and did I mention that the wonderful folks at SU! GAVE us the red glitter paper at Leadership? And this is also the set I received at Leadership - so versatile! Thanks SU!

**UPDATE: February 5th, 2011 - I forgot to show my swap card. It uses the new tulips embossing folder, punches, die-cuts, the only thing stamped was the "Congratulations" - which was a gift from SU! during Leadership. Aren't they just the BEST! Hope you enjoy the card!
Dawn's swap card - LOVE the new embossing folder!

And the project that we ALL were able to complete (some Dames used different punches):
10 colors - can you guess where the 10th color is? You got it! The center of each of the flowers. They showed this at Leadership!

... And the 10th color is - The little flowers. They showed this at Leadership!

10th color is the little hearts - I just LOVE this punch!

Yeah... on this one, I had to put all 10 of the butterflies on here. I'm so thankful SU! has a GREAT butterfly punch - so easy to use!

Dames Meeting in OCTOBER!

Crafters -
My fabulous husband just downloaded the pictures for me from our OCTOBER 2010 meeting. Here are the cards we made. I'll post the January meeting cards next.

Opportunity Night - WEDNESDAY

Crafters -
You all know what a GREAT company Stampin'Up is. And you know that Sale-a-Bration is a WONDERFUL time to sign up to become a demonstrator...

Well, to get a head start of this, Stampin’Up! is offering to each demonstrator who attended Leadership – that would be me and 999 of my closest friends…. A FREE STARTER KIT!!!!! I am able to GIVE a free starter kit to a new demonstrator who signs up and becomes part of my downline. You can become a demonstrator at no cost to you BUT this has to be postmarked to SU! Headquarters by Friday, January 21st. You can attend exclusive SU! events (Regionals, Convention, Leadership {Leadership is upon promotion to certain titles}).

SO, if you are interested in becoming a Stampin’Up! demonstrator, please contact me NOW. I’m going to have an Opportunity Night at my home on Wednesday, January 19th from 7p-8p. We can make a card and talk about you joining SU! We will be discussing how the ONE person will be chosen on Wednesday evening. (**NOTE: If you are interested, but unable to attend, please contact me by Wednesday at 5pm so we can talk before the 7pm make-and-take here.)

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Because this does have to be postmarked to SU! Headquarters by Friday, we will complete the paperwork on Wednesday evening after the Opportunity Night ends at 8pm. I will send it in on Thursday morning.

You can make your SU! business as successful as you wish; part-time, full-time, monthly clubs, card classes – anything you wish it to be. I have enjoyed being an SU! demonstrator. I've been able to attend three Conventions in Salt Lake City, one Leadership (just came home Saturday!), SEVERAL Regional events and was even a helper at the Virginia Beach Regional. This is a LOT of fun – and my downline is a FABULOUS group of people. Once we send in your paperwork on Thursday, you will officially be part of my downline and you are welcome to attend my downline meeting on Saturday, January 22nd and see all the cool Leadership stuff first!  :)

Come – make a card. Hear about this great opportunity Stampin’Up! is offering to one person that I know!

Hope to see you Wednesday, January 19th from 7p-8p at my home! (remember - we moved - let me know if you need my new address!)

Have you been thinking about becoming a Demonstrator?

Stampin'Up! Leadership has now officially ended. I have pictures, and will post more when I arrive back home tomorrow. :)

The Make-and-Takes are SO cool - but I was too busy visiting and talking and didn't get them all done. THOSE will have to be finished at home. I'll post those as soon as homework is finished on Sunday evening (smile).

BUT in the meantime, SU! has a GREAT idea for what we call "recruiting" - if you think you may wish to become a demonstrator, NOW is the time to REALLY think about it - call me so we can discuss this...

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for reading my blog. I just love the goodies we received. Thank you Stampin'Up! and thank you to my friends, customers, and family for supporting me in this - continue to "Share What You Love!"

Leadership News, changes, and a Special Offer from me (on January 26, 27 and 28 only!)

Crafters -

This will be a longer post. First things first. Don't you just LOVE the bag (purse) that SU! has for us this year? LOVE - LOVE - LOVE it!  :)
SU! Leadership bag WITH my personal lanyard by the talented Mindy Gray (sideline).
Items in the front are magnetic bookmarks (InColors), new SU! mug, and the matching wallet to go along with my new purse! YEAH ME!  YEAH SU!  :)

And here's what is INSIDE the bag - don't you just LOVE it?  :)   I do...

Can you tell? It's a rubber stamp! Sewn right into the purse - how cool is that?!

This picture didn't turn out as well, but it is one of those purse holders to keep your purse from sitting on the floor.

Now my new purse will never get dirty! Yeah, right! I'll let you know how that works out...

And, for those of you who think it is only women who are stamping... I can tell you that you would be incorrect! Here is proof. Of course they were kinda messing with each other about their purses. I think it matches their outfits, what do you think?  :)
Two men and a purse - what good sports they are!

And last picture, but by no means least, are Terri and Mindy (the only two ladies who are actually looking at me taking their pictures and smiling, Terri is on the left, Mindy on the right). This is the same Mindy who had the class at her home IN MAY for us to learn how to make those Sizzix Scallop Square purses (the ones I did for my downline gifts) AND if you look closely in the first picture and see my personal lanyard - that is the same Mindy who made that for me! This was taken this morning, while we were getting our juice and bagels stuffs. Yep, just me, Mindy, Terri and 997 of our closest friends. Do you think we are having a good time? YES!!!!!

Terri on the left, Mindy on the right. Mindy made us the lanyards!

Ok, enough pictures for now. Don't forget you can click on the pics and they will enlarge to give more detail too.

NOW onto the GREAT news! When they were telling this to us, we had to promise not to tweet, blog, facebook, or even use smoke signals or morse code! They made us PROMISE to wait until it hit the SU! website.

There are some changes, effective July 1st, for Title Benefits, Downline overrides, and the Incentive Trip program. FYI - DAMES - the title benefits and downline overrides do not affect any of us RIGHT NOW - once you each promote it will, but then you won't have anything to compare it with - so all will be good in the world.

AND they made it so the Incentive Trip will be more attainable for those operating this little "hobby" (or cult as my husband calls it) as an actual business. A real business not just the play acting...

Tomorrow night we get to do our Make-and-Takes. For those of you who know me, you know I ALWAYS sign up for the Make-and-Takes the first day, the first time slot. I think this is God trying to teach me patience. I know He knows more than me, but wow.... He must have a LOT of faith in ME! Glad He does!  :)

Tonight we made some cards for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). SU! has a set that monies are given to RMHC when you purchase the RMHC set.

Tell you what, because we all know how wonderful Sale-a-Bration (SAB) is, FOR JANUARY 26, 27, AND 28 ONLY, if you purchase $150 in SU! merchandise from me, in addition to the THREE free SAB products you will earn, the free Level 1 Hostess Set you will earn, AND the $15 in free products you will earn, I will GIVE you a RMHC stamp set (inside back cover of the big catalog, Tag Alongs is the name of the stamp set. $17.95 value for wood mount, $13.95 value for clear mount). Now crafters, this is only going to be for those of you who place your order through me. Basically, you are having a workshop to get all the free stuff (these can be for catalog parties too, oh - an online orders as well!)

Alrighty then, with the last item, I bid you good afternoon, good evening and good night. We start fresh again with the doors opening at 8:30am - Have a WONDERFUL day and hope you read the postings tomorrow too!

Thanks again to my fabulous new friend and honorary Dame Gwen, I am officially here in Nashville at Leadership! The plane trip was VERY uneventful, even managed to take a little nap on that little 1 hour, 10 minute plane ride.  :)

We can pick up our bags as early as 7:30 am. Mindy and Terri have already checked into our room (they arrived yesterday), and the fourth in our group, Terry, arrived shortly after I did. Wonderful husband cleared out some pictures on the memory card for me, so I am planning on taking pictures galore! Hopefully I can figure out how to download them too!

Oh well, while all the stampers are out having fun, I'm trying to finish up my homework for class. My netbook is on the fritz so I'm taking advantage of another computer. Let's hope it all gets finished tonight, because it is due tomorrow! And SU! has us busy until 10:30 pm tomorrow night. Everyone who knows me, KNOWS that I turn into a pumpkin at 9pm. Now if they had a class at 3am, that would be different...  :)

Enjoy tomorrow and look for some updates tomorrow VERY late evening (hopefully!)...

Leadership, Dames and Sale-a-Bration - all in January!

Well, we return from Florida tomorrow (thanks to my folks for putting up with me and the boy for 6 days!). Then, between homework assignments, work schedule, laundry, unpacking and putting away Christmas items (hubby put everything up - I think it is only fair that I take the stuff down, what do you think?).

ANYWAY, between all of that - I will be working on my swaps for Leadership! Thanks again to my fabulous new friend, and honorary Dame Gwen, I leave for Leadership on Wednesday next week! I'm getting so excited but just don't know how I'm going to get everything done! I really do need Hermoine's Time Turner - one that works, not just a little gadget, of course!

Our next Dames meeting is the Saturday AFTER Leadership, on January 22nd. As a member of my downline, they get to see all the cool stuff I will have learned FIRST! One of the benefits of being in my downline. You can sign up - if you hold off until Sale-a-Bration, you usually get a free stamp set too! Just throwing it out there - something to think about...

AND Sale-a-Bration (SAB) begins at the end of January. For those of you placing an order in January, well... I think I need to do something special for you. I'm going to come up with an idea and send out an email closer to when SAB begins. Check your emails after the 20th... (I've updated the special to this blog. It is here, the January 14th entry.)

Hoep everyone is enjoying this great new year! What was YOUR resolution for 2011?
