Merry Christmas!

10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Luke 2: 10-14

Did you hear my scream? Guess what I received in today's mail? Go ahead - GUESS!!!

You will just never guess...

For those you involved with SU!, you know Leadership 2011 sold out. The day that I could register also happened to be the same day that we were closing on our "old" house. So, since I couldn't be two places at once (where is Hermoine's Time Turner, when I need it?), and since selling the old house  was a little bit more important (just slightly - smile) than registering for Leadership...  well, by the time Demonstrator Support got to me while I was on hold on the telephone, they had already sold out. :(  BUT the house closing went off without a hitch, so I guess in the big scheme of things...

ANYWAY, I have been searching and listing everywhere I knew to list - that I was seeking a Leadership ticket. Mindy (sideline) and Terri (upline) were already going. We were all going to room together, my first Leadership, and I wasn't going... sniff, sniff, sniff...

Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago. This fabulous woman, Gwen, sent me an email and we spoke via telephone. She had seen one of my posts looking for a ticket. She saw that Mindy and Terri were going and she was kind enough to transfer her Leadership registration to me!!!! Talk about an answer to many prayers!

So I sent my check was sent to her, it was cashed, but it just didn't seem real, ya know?

Until today - my ticket came!!!! And, this morning, I had sent her one of those Sizzix Scallop Square tote bags that I made for my downline. She was just the nicest lady when I've spoken with her - I wanted to let her know how much I appreciated her transferring her ticket to me. Here's the one I sent to her. She should receive it Friday.
Gwen's tote - She's an Honorary Dame!

Hope she likes it!

Leadership - here I come!

Merry Christmas!!!

Crafters -

As many of you know, I have been working (it seems like FOREVER) on that Sizzix Scallop Square Tote of mine. What I haven't told you is... that I have been making one for each Dame in my downline (we are called Dawn's Dames).

Thanks to the combined efforts of Jen (who showed the tote originally), Mindy (for opening her home in MAY! to have a day of making these) and to my wonderful downline and friend, Geneva, for the personalized sewing lessons. THEY ARE ALL DONE!!!! Because my downline is all over the city (and now country), I've been able to get these to them one at a time. So, only about half have been delivered. My newest downline (who is also my mom!) will receive hers after Christmas when we visit.

For now, I'm only going to show you the totes that have been delivered. Please know that these were started BEFORE Stampin'Up! started selling fabric. All fabrics are Debbie Mumm. All of the bags have the brown coffee swirls pattern in the bag and on the handles, and the yellow coffee swirls pattern on the pocket. However, each Dame has a different fabric. (If you click on the individual picture, it makes it larger, so you can see it in more detail.)

I have enjoyed making each of these for these FABULOUS Dames and have prayed and thanked God for the wonderful ladies while I made each one. For those Dames I haven't been able to connect with yet, hopefully we can meet this week!

**UPDATE - As of Christmas Eve's day, all have been delivered... Hope each Dame enjoys her new tote. Please know that as I made each one of them, each Dame was lifted in prayer...

Merry Christmas!

Nina - after she received her tote!

Glad she likes her tote!  :)

It has started to snow again! YEAH!!! It was raining earlier (boo!).

and this is what it looked like 10 minutes later...

I can't WAIT to see what it looks like later. The boy keeps singing "walking in a Winter Wonderland..." and has asked to go outside and make snow angels today. Think I may have to do that in a bit... hmmmm

Now, if I can just get my homework done, this is PERFECT weather to craft!

Enjoy the beautiful Christmas-y weather...  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Happy December 1st!!!!

I woke this morning and took the dog outside. It has started to snow here. Not very much but it is nice to see...  LOVE having four full seasons.

Happy December 1st! Enjoy this wonderful month! And please remember to keep the focus where it belongs. I know I stress (just a little bit - smile), but I'm going to try to remember what this month is all about.

I have this song running through my head... "Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful... (skip the next line)... Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..."

Happy December 1st!!!! (and enjoy the pretty snow).
