March Coffee and Cards

Crafters -

Last week was so much fun! It was so much fun between my team meeting on Tuesday, the Easter Sampler class on Thursday, and then going to my church's Women's Retreat on Saturday! It was so much fun between all those things, that I didn't realize I hadn't shared the cards from this month's Coffee and Cards!

With Sale-A-Bration ending THIS WEEK!!!!, I used a lot of Sale-A-Bration items for the March cards. Let's face it - the Sale-A-Bration items are going fast! Get them while you can...

Want to see what we did?
March Coffee and Cards Class

The first card I did was the Pear Pizzazz and Wisteria Wonder using the Avant Garden Sale-A-Bration stamp set. Such a pretty AND EASY card. We even used spritzers on this card and I think that was the favorite part of the card!

The balloon card (using the Lift Me Up Bundle) was very similar to my Swap card at my Team Leader's meeting in early March. Again, fast and easy and we used the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Papers AND the Sale-A-Bration Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper. Again, easy peasy!

Then we moved onto the Butterfly card. This one is simply stunning! This is a DIRECT case from the meeting in Michigan earlier this month. At my card class, the crafters made either the Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron, or Bermuda Bay using the Sale-A-Bration Glimmer Papers. It was kinda hard to choose only two! We also used the Sale-A-Bration Inside the Lines Paper and do you recognize the sentiment? It's from Tasty Trucks! Talk about a TRUE Sale-A-Bration card, huh?

But the final card, and it was the final card - I put it in the other room and made it their last card. It was, BY FAR, the favorite card! I would absolutely LOVE to tell you I made this complete card design. But alas, no. It was from a sideline team member! You see we swap 15 cards when I go to that state up north. This design was one of the swap cards. I made my chick a little more wild with the purple and blue hair - we even added a little of the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen! REALLY made Chick's hair look GREAT!

Which one is your favorite? I'm not sure which one is my favorite - I like all of them! They each fill a different need, so I'm gonna go with...

It's a four-way tie! LOVE them all! Hope you do too! Enjoy!

Latte Joy Team Meeting!

Crafters -

You know that feeling? That really good, happy-type of feeling when you have spent the day with friends, you've accomplished a lot, and you just had a GREAT time! You know, the one when you keep thinking about the conversation and just keep smiling like the village idiot! THAT ONE!

Yeah... THAT WAS ME! You see on Tuesday evening, I met with my team! And for the first time EVER, since I now know how to do this, we even did our meeting via Facebook Live! It was GREAT! Two of my team reside in Florida and my friend Carol was able to watch and listen too. I'm confident she was laughing along with us!

Linda, Betty, Faye, and Nancy were all in attendance. Jenny was hoping to attend, and was even going to do a demonstration, but unfortunately she was ill. She was thoughtful enough to stay home and, while we love sharing what we do, we do NOT love sharing germs! What a sweetheart, huh? So, hopefully, she will be able to attend in April and will be able to do her demonstration for us mere mortals then (she is quite talented!).

We had top sales, top recruiter, the prize winner for my Grand Latte Club, and even a drawing for attending the meeting. If you can believe this, LINDA WON EVERYTHING! How does that happen?!

We went over a lot of business and there was a complete question and answer period throughout the night! I know everyone had a BLAST and wait until you see what we made!

Check it out!
Latte Joy Team Meeting Projects/Cards
March, 2017

The lollipop holder is mine. They are all over the internet, just change the dimensions to make it fit the kind of lollipop you have! We used Tootsie Pops (anyone remember the owl commercial? First one who tells me "how many licks" will receive a handmade card from me - post your comment below and then shoot me an email with your snail mail address!).

But the two cards. The two cards were WOW! This photo doesn't even BEGIN to do them justice.

The "Enjoy Your Day" card is a direct CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from Jenny Peterson. When I showed this card (both at the meeting and at my Easter Sampler class on Thursday night), you should have seen the WOW! from everyone! The photo of the Silver Foil Paper in the catalog doesn't really show how WOW! you can make it! THIS card does!

The Easter card is a CASE from Ronda Wade. Ronda made this card in a video for her March cards. I wanted to make an Easter card using some of the Sale-A-Bration Glimmer Papers (it is now gone - it sold out really fast - like two weeks!).

I'm not quite sure which one is my favorite, but I know I like all three of them!

Come see me on Saturday, April 1st, from 12p-3p, at CrossFit43123 for their Local Vendor Fair. You can see these in person and I'll even have a few for sale! Plus many other items.

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Want to join my team? You can read all about what I offer by going to 'My Team' (above) or clicking HERE. The link to join is there too! I'd LOVE to have you as part of my team!

Thoughts and Prayers - Reverse Lenten Challenge Card

Crafters -

For the next several weeks (during Lent), I will be showcasing the card designs we did at my Reverse Lenten Challenge Class on February 15th.

Here's the basics:
  • We made 40 notecards using the Whisper White and Crumb Cake Notecards and Envelopes
  • On March 1st, 2017, Ash Wednesday, we began giving or sending cards to others (there are 40 days of Lent, NOT INCLUDING Sundays)
  • Can be anyone - child's teacher, co-worker, grocery clerk, bank teller, mom in front of you who has her hands full! Anyone! You get to choose!

For this week's card, I chose to showcase the Thoughts and Prayers card. I had had this stamp set for a number of years. And it is ALWAYS one of my GO TO sets. We use this all the time at our church for our card ministry. This set is $26 for the wood mount and just $19 for the clear mount (make sure you have clear block e - you will need it!). The best part about this set is the sentiments. Thinking of You, Praying for you, Get Well Soon, and Sharing in your Sorrow as well as a few inside the card sentiments! The tree stamp works well for both men and women alike, making it a WONDERFUL generic card. BUT the flower spray is truly beautiful - especially when you use your markers and color the flowers individually!

Can you tell I like this stamp set?  :)

All supplies used, and the links to purchase them, are listed at the end of this blog posting.
Thoughts and Prayers Card
Reverse Lenten Challenge Class
February, 2017
We used Soft Suede to ink the tree and the sentiment. And here's the fun part. Notice how the leaves are green (you may need to click the photo to enlarge it)? After stamping in the Soft Suede, we grabbed the Old Olive Marker (part of the Brights Color Family) and, using the brush tip, we just dabbed the shape of the leaves. Fast. Easy. Wonderful!

Added some Old Olive Baker's Twine with a mini glue dot - and viola! This card took WAY LESS than 10 minutes to complete!

Add the supplies listed below to your order and you will qualify for a Sale-A-Bration FREE item! The Designer Tee Sale-A-Bration stamp set would be a wonderful addition to use with Thoughts and Prayers. I Knew you could. Just Give it Some Time. Everything Will be OK. and the I Think I Can train would all be GREAT sentiments use!

My current Host Code is on my blog - near the top, just to the right, on your desktop version!

Supplies Used:

That's The Tag - Reverse Lenten Challenge Card

Crafters -

For the next several weeks (during Lent), I will be showcasing the card designs we did at my Reverse Lenten Challenge Class on February 15th.

Here's the basics:
  • We made 40 notecards using the Whisper White and Crumb Cake Notecards and Envelopes
  • On March 1st, 2017, Ash Wednesday, we started giving or sending cards to others (there are 40 days of Lent, NOT INCLUDING Sundays)
  • You can give the cards to anyone - child's teacher, co-worker, grocery clerk, bank teller, mom in front of you who has her hands full! Anyone! You get to choose!

For this week's card, I chose to showcase the That's the Tag card. This stamp set (and its matching framelits) are available in the Spring Occasions Catalog. All supplies used, and the links to purchase them, are listed at the end of this blog posting.
That's the Tag Card
Reverse Lenten Challenge Class
February, 2017
This one was such a fun card to make! You see, the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack has 12 double-sided designs. Each person received five different papers with her cards. THEN I added the Bermuda Bay, Delightful Dijon, Island Indigo, Old Olive, and Pool Party cardstock pieces for each person to adhere the DSP to! Also included were the five colored hearts (same colors). It really was fun to lay out each of the papers, each of the cardstock, and each of the hearts to make our cards unique!

AFTER we adhered the DSP and the Early Espresso strip to the colored cardstock, it went through the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. THEN we adhered that to the Crumb Cake Notecard!

We sponged both the 1.75" circle punchout and the sweetheart punchout with some Early Espresso ink. And did you notice the coloring on the flower from the That's The Tag stamp set? That's right! The NEW (and absolutely WONDERFUL) Watercolor Pencils! They just seem to GLIDE on the paper - LOVE THEM! (You just KNOW they are popular when they go out of stock right away!)

When you add the That's the Tag Photopolymer Stamp Set, Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack, 1.75" Circle Punch, and Falling Petals Embossing Folder supplies listed below to your order, and you will qualify for a Sale-A-Bration FREE item! This makes such a cute gift set, and I would wrap the Sale-A-Bration 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack to make this an extra special gift - and that ribbon would be FREE with your Sale-A-Bration order!

My current Host Code is on my blog - near the top, just to the right, on your desktop version!

Candy Bar Box Tutorial AND Facebook LIVE!

Crafters -

**I will be doing a Facebook LIVE on this tutorial
at 7pm (Eastern) on Saturday, March 4th.
Hope you are able to tune in!
Make sure you "LIKE" my Facebook page
so YOU can get all of the updates too!

As you saw on yesterday's post, I met with my Pumpkineers on Tuesday evening. The February kit is called Many Happy Birthdays and had the neatest Pocket cards!

Pocket cards are GREAT for gift cards and with Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Graduation coming in the next few months, this Paper Pumpkin kit was perfect!

BUT, with my Pumpkineers, I like to give them a few choices to make alternate cards and projects with their kits. SO, we cut apart one, JUST ONE, of the pocket cards and made those items at our meeting.

The MOST POPULAR alternate idea was the box for the Hershey Bar. And I'd like to share the basics of my tutorial with you! FYI - the stamp set was from the Many Happy Birthdays Paper Pumpkin kit. This is SUCH a cute stamp set!

Hershey Bar Box Dimensions
Bottom of box  6-7/8" x 3-3/4", score at 1/2" all four sides
Top of box 3-3/8" x 6-3/8", score at 1/4" all four sides
Use layering ovals to cut out an oval from the top of the box
Stamp greeting on a scrap piece
Adhere greeting behind oval cutout
Fold on all score lines and put together!
I added a little bit of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon to really set this box!

LOVE IT!

I know I would be SO excited to receive this in my Easter Basket - or even place it on a desk for a co-worker! And don't forget those teachers! I bet they'd LOVE this too!

BINGO Night!

Crafters -

I am stepping WAY outside of my comfort zone!

Little secret here - but I am NOT a BINGO player! Who knew, right?!  :)

Well, in January, my Team Leader had a BINGO night and I went.

HAD. A. BLAST.

So, how about a FUN BINGO night on Friday, March 10th, from 7p-9p? And, of course, we will do a few make-and-takes too!

Here are the details:
  • Must RSVP with payment by Monday, March 6th, 2017. I can send you an invoice and you can pay it that way or you can drop off a check by Monday evening.
  • TEN (10) is the minimum number of participants. SO, if there are less than 10 attendees, I will NOT be able to offer this fun evening at this time.
  • Cost is $30. I will be taking $20 of that and purchasing products from the catalogs for the prizes.
  • There will be THREE (3) make-and-takes for the class during the evening.
  • We will play SIX (6) games of Bingo.
  • PLEASE KNOW THIS! We are not gambling. This is just a fun way to make cards and win some products by playing a few fun games of Bingo. There is NO cash pot; the money is all going into the product order and the class.
  • There will be an ordering special that evening at the end of the BINGO night. So that means, you WILL want to stay until the end!
  • Only things you will need to bring are your favorite adhesives (including dimensionals, glue dots, etc.) and your scissors. With 10 people, we will be limited on space. (Ensure your name is on your items - we all have similar items.)
  • I will have a small plate of goodies to snack from. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage (with a covered lid please!) to drink. You will leave your beverages on the island in the kitchen so there are no spills while crafting or the excitement of yelling BINGO!  :)
Contact me to reserve your spot!
