Rose Wonder - Stampin' Up!

I just LOVE the Rose Wonder Photopolymer stamp set. When I first received my Occasions Catalog (the Spring Mini Catty), I just KNEW I had to have this set.

It has everything - birthday, thank you, wedding, sympathy, and "you're in my thoughts and prayers." And anytime there is a scripture reference - BONUS!

Here's what the bundle looks like from my Online Store:
Rose Wonder Stamp Set and Rose Garden Thinlits Dies BUNDLE

And want to see what I did with it the other day?
Blackberry Bliss Rose Wonder Card

YES! You may think it was a little difficult to do the flower, but it was really quite easy! I just grabbed my Silicone Craft Sheet and my 2-Way Glue Pen and the pieces fit VERY nicely and VERY easily into the flower "puzzle."

Do you recognize the papers used? The card base is Old Olive Cardstock (an absolute classic and one of my favorites!), then a layer of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock (a soon-to-be retired 2014-2016 InColors), then a flowered paper - hmmm..... don't recognize that? It's Whisper White Cardstock that has been stamped with Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive Stampin' Pads! And it was so easy to stamp all over this too! But there really is a piece of printed paper there also. Just behind the flower. It is from the Wildflower Fields Designers Series Paper - only available during Sale-a-Bration! AND it's FREE with your $50 merchandise order!

I added a little bit of Whisper White 1/4" Cotton Ribbon and then I put the Rose Diecutout front and center! The greeting can go inside.

The Rose is cut out using Whisper White Cardstock and Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. I placed the outline image on a scrap piece of cardstock and just pieced the puzzle together. It was really easy! Don't forget to add the Stampin' Dimensionals behind the rose to make it really POP! And the leaves are die cut using Old Olive Cardstock scraps!

Hope you enjoy this cute card!

In the Meadow Coffee and Cards - Stampin' Up!

I'm really enjoying this Coffee and Cards class! In yesterday's post, you saw the bonus 3-D item the crafters received with their cards.

For March's Coffee and Cards, we will be using the new In the Meadow Stamp Set. (We used this stamp at my Party on February 6th, so it may look a little familiar).
In the Meadow Stamp Set
Available in Clear
or Wood

With the mountains, the trees, pretty flowers, and even little butterflies, I'm counting this one as a WIN! So glad Stampin' Up! has a nice set for us to use!

Here's what we will be making on Saturday morning, March 19th, for the Coffee and Cards Class:
In the Meadow Coffee and Cards Class
March 19, 2016

LOVE IT! And because we are using the Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes along with the Crumb Cake Notecards and Envelopes, it's actually a really quick and easy class to do!

I'm adding various pieces and parts to complete the cards like Gold Glimmer Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Papers, SEVEN different punches, Linen Thread, scraps of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, a little bit of Whisper White Cardstock, some Crumb Cake Cardstock, there's even a small piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, some sponging on a piece of Tea Lace Paper Doilies, the Brick Wall Embossing Folder, and throwing in a few diecut pieces from a few thinlits and framelits too!

I've added a Paypal button on the CLASSES page to make it easy! Look forward to seeing you on Saturday, March 19th!

Berry Basket Die Meets Scarlet and Gray - Stampin' Up!

So...

many of you have seen the Berry Basket Die available from Stampin' Up! Here's the photo from my Online Store.

Berry Basket Die
Stampin' Up!

Nice, but really doesn't do it justice. It does show the pieces and parts but really - this photo does NOT do this item justice! SERIOUSLY!

Well... the crafters last week at the Scarlet and Gray class also made a surprise 3-D item. Want to see what they made? Supply List is at the end of this posting.

Coffee and Cards
Scarlet and Gray Class
Surprise 3-D Item
February 2016

Cool, huh?

And it was so cute! During the class, my friend Summer asked me about the Berry Basket Die. For those of you who know me, you KNOW how hard it was for me to not just bring out the box and show them their surprise 3-D item!

When I did bring it out, we all laughed so hard! Faye even mentioned about Summer asking about it! Great minds, huh? And we ALL agreed that the Stampin' Up! Handheld Stapler made this project a LOT easier! 'Nuf said!

And did anyone recognize the Designer Series Paper? It's from a Christmas Paper! AND it's in the BIG Catalog! It's the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper (DSP)!

Remember, many of the printed papers (the Designer Series Papers) do NOT make it into the next catalog. And this package of DSP uses Mossy Meadow, which retires because it is part of the 2014-2016 InColors. So, if you like this paper, you will need to order the DSP while supplies last!

Hope you enjoy this surprise 3-D item almost as much as my crafters did!

You can always see my class schedule HERE or click on the "Classes" page at the top (just under the tree with the yellow ribbon)!

Enjoy!

Tin of Cards - Stampin' Up!

You know how much I love working on cards! Sometimes I prefer the easy, just put them together; other times, I prefer all the layers and ribbons and WOW! factor.

How about something that combines the two? Like the Tin of Cards!

You saw this card when I began sending the birthday cards with the #imbringingbirthdaysback from this post.

Well, did you know that Stampin' Up! also has a video that shows this wonderful kit? Check it out!

Let me know when you want to schedule a private card class with you and five of your friends! I'll bring the kits and the stamp set. Contact me for details and pricing!

Honeycomb Happiness + Greatest Greetings - Stampin' Up!

Don't you just LOVE when two different sets come together? I know I do! And on this one, I didn't even have to think about it!

Check out my "Thank You" card for my customers this month:
Honeycomb Happiness meets Greatest Greetings

Super cute huh?

Here's the thing. I went to my upline's meeting a couple of weeks ago. And I WON a prize! So I got to choose from the TABLE of goodies! It was so cool - I felt like a kid in a candy store!

So, I saw this Honeycomb Happiness Clear Mount Stamp set and my upline had it paired with the Greatest Greetings Clear Mount Stamp set. Ok, ok, ok, I know, I know, I know. Greatest Greetings is a very versatile stamp set, but I hadn't purchased it because it really isn't my style. I wouldn't use any of those stamps - at least, that's what I told myself. Let me assure you, I was incorrect! Do not tell my husband - but I really did need this stamp set. I just didn't know it yet!

So, when I started to make my February Thank You notes, I knew I wanted to use my Hello Honey cardstock and some of the Hello Honey colored DSP from the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper, and I knew I wanted to use my Very Vanilla cardstock, because it has felt quite neglected lately. But I also wanted to use my Blackberry Bliss ink. Is anyone else going to miss the soon-to-be-retired 2014-2016 InColors? I know I'm almost ready to go into mourning!

Want to know how I made this card? Follow me!
To begin, I cut my Hello Honey cardstock at 8.5"x5.5" (half a sheet of cardstock). Then I took a 4.0"x5.25" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock and ran it through my Chevron Embossing Folder. Look closely at the photo. Do you notice anything? I only embossed most of the Very Vanilla cardstock, not all of it. I put it in "sideways" so the ziggy-zaggies went left to right! That way I could stamp the "you're eggstraordinary" on the bottom of the cardstock. I then added a 1"x4.5" strip of the Hello Honey colored DSP from the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper and using my Paper Snips, I cut a little banner end on it. Adhered all to the Hello Honey card base using my SNAIL adhesive.

After stamping Mr. Chick in Jet Black StazOn on some scraps of Very Vanilla cardstock, and coloring him with my Aqua Painters, I then used my Big Shot and my Ovals Collection Framelits - pay really close attention here. This one gets tricky.

I ran Mr. Chick through the Big Shot with one of the ovals. Then I grabbed the NEXT SIZE UP oval and ran that through with some of my Hello Honey scraps. Then, and I very rarely use this one, but this is the really cool part.

Grab the largest oval, the one with the scallops on it. That one. I placed the Hello Honey Oval under the large Scallop Oval Framelit and it "cut" the "egg" in half. I then put half of the "egg" behind Mr. Chick's head, and the other half in front of him. They line up PERFECTLY! Just to make sure it held together, I did put a small strip of clear tape on the back of the "egg" before I put my Stampin' Dimensionals on it.

Put it on the card and he made such a cute little Thank You card! Although, Mr. Chick would be a really cute Easter card too.

This is a cute, fast, and EASY card for Easter. Let me know if you'd like to schedule a private card class with five of your friends and make these Easter cards, along with a few others.

And this card design was patterned after the Welcome card I received from my fabulous upline. So glad she shares her gifts and talents with all of us!

#imbringingbirthdaysback - Stampin' Up!

Well, what do you know? I'm actually using a hastag! I'm one of those who still think of '#' as a pound sign, not a hashtag, so this is a REALLY big step for me!

But, in case you haven't yet seen or heard, Shannon West from the Stampin' Up! home office in Utah, has started this. She's calling it:

#imbringingbirthdaysback

Shannon did this TV segment on a local channel in Utah. You can view that segment HERE.

Don't know about you, but I know I've gotten quite lax about sending birthday cards. AND THIS IS WHAT I DO!!!!!! Hello?!?!? And yes, this one definitely needs an AMEN! I get the reminder on Facebook that so-and-so has a birthday coming up and I just get on Facebook and write them a message. BAD! Social media has really made ME stop sending birthday cards! YIKES!!!!

SO, when I had my party on February 6th, I asked the crafters for their birthdays - just month and day. And this weekend, when I was able to work in my craft room, I was able to actually complete my OWN Tin of Cards Project Kit! So, the very first card that I have as a birthday card to be sent out for this is to my friend Linda! Hope she enjoys it!
Happy Birthday Linda!
Hope you enjoy the card!

And I'll be contacting my customers to get THEIR birthdays so I can enter those dates into my database!

**I'm starting this out slow. For now, I'm only requesting birthdays from my customers. Once I get better at this...  :)

Please make sure when you place your order, IF you choose NO CONTACT, you will need to send me an email to tell me you placed your order. You will then need to give me your birthday and snail mail address so I can send YOU a birthday card. NO need for year of birth - I'm gonna make everyone 25 in my mind! Remember being 25? 35 was actually MY favorite age! What was YOUR favorite age?

So, if you have placed an order in the past two months, please look for YOUR email requesting YOUR birthday!

I'm starting this slow... hope you join this #imbringingbirthdaysback movement too!

Don't forget about the Coffee and Cards Class on Saturday, February 20th, too! You will also receive a FREE incentive stamp from me if you choose to make all 8 of your cards into birthday cards - LOVE the whole #imbringingbirthdaysback - don't you? You can read more about the classes HERE.

Enjoy!

Working in My Craft Room - Using Stampin' Up! Products!

YUP! Today, for the first time in WEEKS, we do not have anything on the calendar! Well, I do later this evening, with friends, but we don't have to go ANYWHERE ELSE!

LOVE these "free" days, don't you?

So, since I still had boxes from my Party and the Cuppa Class last weekend, and I'm prepping for the Scarlet and Gray Class NEXT Saturday (remember, you have until Wednesday to sign up!), I'm playing with some stuff I haven't really had a chance to play with completely!
Do you recognize any items on my desk?
YUP!
Who else works on several projects at once?

AND, just to show you what else I have been working on this past week....
These were sent to the FABULOUS crafters who attended the PARTY last Saturday!

The saying "There is nothing in the caterpillar that tells you it is going to be butterfly" is from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set. When we had our BSF Leaders' Meeting on Monday, we also had Fellowship. I'm not sure why or how, but something someone said reminded me of an OLD stamp set that SU! used to sell. It was also a butterfly stamp set, but the saying was "If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies" and it was by that famous guy Anonymous. Well, since I no longer had that stamp set, but I DID have the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set, I improvised! Used some Bermuda Bay cardstock, along with the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack, a little bit of Rose Red cardstock scraps and my Bitty Butterfly Punch, added a little bit a bling with my Rhinestone Basic Jewels - easy little 3"x3" card for mailing!

I just LOVE that Stampin' Up! continues to give us new and improved stamp sets! So, I used this one instead! It fit MUCH better on the teacup from the Cups and Kettle Framelits Dies than the old one would have too!

And, I try to leave little "chair gifts" for my ladies in my BSF group each week. Well, this week, due to weather, our weekly class was cancelled. And I had a 3-D item, and that would have been difficult to mails, so... since I was making for my customers, I grabbed some contraband (that means non-SU! stuff!), and made these for my ladies. I also stamped the "God Is Love" on the back, from the Trust God Stamp SetThat way I could send them a little card in the mail! Hope they like 'em. Every week, I bring 20 "somethings" to place on their chairs. And every week, because there are only 14 of us, I have a few extras. So I sent the extras to a few of my friends, including a couple who were in the Leaders' Meeting too!
These were mailed to my BSF ladies.
I missed seeing them this week!

AND, I still have one more thing I'm working on... but that one's a secret! Remember, the Cuppa Class from last week? When my friend Faye saw something different with one of the dies? Yeah.... more to come later!

Ok, back to the old grindstone to work.  HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Since when is playing with STAMPS work?! I crack myself up sometimes!

Enjoy your day!

Baker's Box, Weekly Deals - Stampin' Up!

Crafters -

While I didn't rise as early as I usually do, I still went directly to my Stampin' Up! website. Check out the Weekly Deals THIS week!
Weekly Deals THIS Week!

YEAH! And, just in case you thought... I'll never use that Baker's Box Thinlits Die. Check out just TWO ideas that I have in my Craft Room - ONE we made just Saturday!
Bonus 3-D Item from Cuppa Class

Birdie Baker's Box

These hold those little coffee pods, chocolate, any type of little giftie! Now, I did send mine through the Brick Embossing Folder. And I added a small piece of Window Sheet for the cutout window so Mr. Bird knew how to get back into his little home!

These are SO easy to do! And with Sale-a-Bration going on right now... Just sayin'!

Of course, if you are new and interested in JOINING MY TEAM, check out this suggested tally for YOUR starter kit  - you can always make YOUR starter kit YOURS - and there is a flyer with suggested items on that link as well!
Big Shot, $110.00
Baker's Box Thinlits Die, Weekly Deal $24.75
Brick Wall Embossing Folder, $8.50
Easter Lamb, $10 (Easter Lamb will make some really cute cards but you can choose any equal value stamp set)
TOTAL is $153.25

That gives you $1.75 to get one of the RETIRED cute twines from the Clearance Rack! My favorite is the Blushing Bride Baker's Twine (only $1.18 for 25 yards, while supplies last) or the Pistachio Pudding Thick Baker's Twine (only $1.39 for 15 yards, while supplies last)!

And seriously? When else can you get $155 worth of merchandise for $99? THAT alone is worth the cost of the Big Shot!

You will need to add your stamp pads and papers to your first order,
unless you have been a customer and already HAVE those supplies!

This is a GREAT way to get started, get the Stampin' Up! Big Shot, and be ready to start creating your Easter goodies!

Ok, final one. Still need another idea? We used the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim at the Party on Saturday, along with several FREE Sale-a-Bration items. Check out this cutie:
Flowering Fields Card
Perfectly Artistic DSP (Limited Availability)
Made during February 6th Party!

YUP! We paired the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim with the Silver and Blushing Bride Sequin Trims on the Silver Glimmer Paper Star! This card is absolutely stunning in real life! AND SO EASY! And the normal price is $5 for 10 yards. With the Weekly Deal price for the Bermuda Bay at just $3.75 - that goes in the WIN column!

Hope I've given you a few ideas! Please let me know if you have any questions! My contact information is at the very top, on the header. Look forward to talking with you soon!

Cards, Party, Messy Desk, and a New Hostess Code! - Stampin' Up!

Whew! Say THAT three times fast!
Cards, Party, Messy Desk, and New Hostess Code! - Stampin' Up!
Cards, Party, Messy Desk, and New Hostess Code! - Stampin' Up!
Cards, Party, Messy Desk, and New Hostess Code! - Stampin' Up!

Now, click your ruby red slippers together three times, and say...
Oh, wait...

Yesterday (Saturday, February 6th), I hosted my first party (workshop) in SEVERAL YEARS! Gotta say - the 12 crafters who attended, were EVER SO GRACIOUS!

The party was from 2p-5p, with an Opportunity Night scheduled from 5p-6p. We were done stamping just before 4pm. And two ladies stayed after the party to talk about the Stampin' Up! opportunity! HEY! You get $56 free merchandise right now with no shipping with the Starter Kit?! What's not a GREAT thing about that, huh?

Want to see what we made?

"Not yet, not yet, not yet, my son...First come the lessons, then the fun."

That quote is one of our FAVORITES from The Bike Lesson by Stan and Jan Berenstain. I even pulled the book out to quote it exactly and had fun re-reading it before finishing this blog posting. And checking out the coloring job our little baby (age 14 now!) did with his red and yellow and green crayons! As many of you know, my husband is an AVID cyclist, and this book was a BABY GIFT to us many moons ago, from my dear friend LoriAnn. Seems like just yesterday.

The crafters arrived around 2pm. Two of the ladies had attended my Cuppa Class in the morning and stayed for the party. I kept THOSE two ladies busy from about 9am til just around 1:30pm! Because they stayed for the break, I had added an extra card and 3-D item for them to make. I think they liked those two items ALMOST as much as the items they received with their CLASS FEE!  BUT they did make some really great cards and 3-D items! Thanks so much to Jeannette and Faye for staying!

During the party, the crafters made two cards AND a Paper Pumpkin project! YUP! As subscribers, you can order PAST kits. So I had ordered a couple of the January 2015 kits for Valentine's Day. That part was fun! Aside from the chocolate that was inside the baggies, of course! And, there were a few ladies who were not yet familiar with the Paper Pumpkin subscription. With the 3-month prepaid subscription on sale right now, AND earning a FREE Sale-a-Bration item - such a good deal! I even pulled out the mini album I received (three years ago?) when Paper Pumpkin was new! THAT one was fun to look through too!

I demonstrated the masking technique and heat embossing during the party as well - always fun to do techniques! Both are classics, and such fun to do! Two ladies came up front to see how pretty the heat embossing is! One of them had brought her 7-year old daughter and she was right there in the thick of it too! Actually, two daughters attended the party with their moms; one was 7, the other 13. I think those two young ladies had it better in hand than us (ahem) more seasoned crafters! Plus it was fun to have youth around us!

Ok, I think I've kept you in suspense long enough.  :)
Scroll down to the bottom of this post for all supplies.
FYI - Using the DSP, there were cards in
Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron,
as well as the Tempting Turquoise (shown here).
And, I've been trying to work on cleaning my craft room. Little bit at a time. I found a few more items that needed to find new homes. I forgot to take a photo of the before, but check out the after! The retired items were a BIG hit! (My demonstration table is situated between the two rooms and is the bottom photo.)
The dog is even worn out! (top right photo)
Remember, he thinks everyone comes to the house to see HIM!

I like to remind myself of the Albert Einstein quote: "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?" Yup - ALL KINDS of ideas running around in this brain! (Ok, so maybe it wasn't really Albert Einstein, but he's been given credit for saying it, and it's on the internet, so that makes it true, right? I still like the quote!)

ONE of the ideas came at the end of the Cuppa Class (before the party) while we were completing the final projects. Jeannette, Faye, and I were talking and crafting (SHOCKING, I KNOW!). Well, Faye takes the coffee cup that was already ran through the Big Shot, yeah... She saw something else when she looked at it. Which got me a-thinkin...

Tune in NEXT week for the exciting conclusion
to THIS idea using the Cups and Kettle Framelits Dies!

AND FINALLY, the new Hostess Code, good through February 28th, is E27NTX4V.

Hope you enjoyed all the goodies and those of you who attended - hope YOU had a GREAT time! Thanks so much for your orders!

Weekly Deals - Stampin' Up!

Ok, so I couldn't sleep...

Before I retired, my friends would always tease me because I would send emails at 3am. (I was up, wasn't the rest of the world? HA!)

It just made it easier. The house was quiet. I could have my coffee and donut. And I could get some Bible study, computer work, crafting, and/or housework done in about half the time. Can anyone else relate?

This morning, I couldn't sleep. Got up at 4am! I'm retired!!!! What on God's Green Earth am I doing up at 4am?!?!? Can I get an "AMEN!"?

So I logged onto the Stampin' Up! website, because on Tuesdays, the Weekly Deals are new. And WOW! Just WOW!!!! Check it out HERE!

Weekly Deals

I am SO definitely ahead of my time! The Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies are on the Weekly Deals!!!! AND they are $10 off!!!! Did I mention? We are using this at my class on February 20th. You can see a small screenshot on my Classes page or on THIS previous post.
Monthly Card Class
February 20, 2016

Do you recognize a couple of the items? The top right image on my Monthly Card Class - you can see a little tiny bit of vellum with the brick design? Yeah! That's the Mini Treat Bag and I've used the Brick Wall Embossing Folder on it! And then there's the bottom right image! Recognize that Silver Foil bow? YEAH! Also from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies!

And a spoiler alert! One of the cards I'm going to demonstrate on Saturday, February 6th at my workshop, will use the star image from... the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies! And this card is PRETTY and EASY! You'll see!

If you have previously attended my other card classes, you have used the heart and/or the "for you" thinlits dies too!

I'm telling you - this is one of my FAVORITE dies! When I first saw it, I thought "oh... I'll never use that!", especially because it is $40. And now, I use it ALL. THE. TIME. And YOU can get it for $10 off!!!! How many of you go to the Big Box Stores, when you receive 25% off of X, Y, or Z? Yup! Guess What? This die is 25% off!!!! Remember, a NEW Weekly Deal begins NEXT week on Tuesday, February 9th, so get this one while the getting is good!

Enjoy the DEALS!!!!
