Doughnuts and Cards - Thanks So Much!

Crafters -

I had an absolute BLAST yesterday with all my friends making cards! A couple of new ladies were able to attend and a good time was had by all!

Here are the three cards we made yesterday.

HELPFUL HINT: Gotta give you a little hint that I learned yesterday. Do NOT use the Lotus Blossom Stamp #3 (the largest of the flowers) on a folding table! It does not provide a nice inked image! We moved that flower stamp to the kitchen counter. You need a FIRM surface for that image. All of the other images were ok on the table, just not the largest flower!

After everyone left and I was cleaning the room, I was able to put away the extra Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes and the Crumb Cake Note Cards and Envelopes, but I had cut Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock to note card size, and I already had the Baked Brown Sugar butterflies cut, and well, I had a couple left over... So I got to play!!!! And did I ever have fun!

First, the close up of the card we made on Saturday during Doughnuts and Cards. We used the Butterfly Thinlits Dies, Stampin' Dimensionals, Rhinestones, and Petite Pairs Stamp Set. The small inked butterfly on the envelope is from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set.

And, by adding a few other stamp pads (Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist, So Saffron, and Wisteria Wonder), a small amount of Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine, scraps of Whisper White Cardstock, and the 3/4" Circle Punch, I used many of the Butterfly Basics Stamps and made this card with my leftover cut card kits!

Amped Up Version!

The amped-up version took a LOT longer to make but I am really pleased with the results. I think this will be my Thank You note for all online orders between now and Valentine's Day. What do you think?

Hope you like this revised card! I know I really like it and can see me making quite a few of these in a variety of colors! Please feel free to leave me a comment below.

Butterfly Basics Class Update - Stampin' Up!

Crafters -

UPDATE: Class has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Many of you know my work schedule is a little different than most - so I'm sometimes sleeping when the regular world is actually awake and moving! :)

When I made my post the other day, I guess I was a little sleep deprived! Hope you will forgive me!

There has been a question about the the Butterfly Basics Class, scheduled for Sunday, February 8th, from 1p-4p UPDATE: Class has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Here are the beautiful cards you will make at the class:
Butterfly Basics Class
February 8, 2015

I'm offering two different payment options:
  • Butterfly Basics Class - $50 and you will receive the Photopolymer Stamp Set, matching thinlits dies at the class. You will make 4 cards, learn a few techniques, and stamp at my home for 3 hours. You will not place an order for any items. You just let me know you want to attend the class and send your payment to me. You just come as you are!
  • You can place your order to purchase the Butterfly Basics bundle in your choice of wood, clear, or photopolymer to qualify for Sale-a-Bration and/or Hostess benefits. The class cost is then just $15 to make 4 cards, learn a few techniques, and stamp at my home for 3 hours.
  • If you already own the Butterfly Basics stamp set, let me know you want to attend! The class cost is then just $15 to make 4 cards, learn a few techniques, and stamp at my home for 3 hours.

FOR ALL OPTIONS:
  • UPDATE: Class has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
  • You must RSVP by Tuesday, January 27th. Your class payment is your RSVP.
  • You will need to bring your glass blocks to class on February 8th. You're gonna need those to stamp!
  • Don't forget your adhesive and scissors, etc. to put the cards together!

The cards we will be making will use a few items from the Spring Occasions catalog too! Did you notice the Blushing Bride rosette from the Artisan Embellishment Kit? And the absolutely beautiful Sahara Sand Lace! That one is my new favorite! We will be heat embossing AND sponging (can you say "emboss resist" for a fun technique?!). One of the cards even uses a little masking. And we get to use a couple different Designer Series Papers (individual patterns may vary from the photos). We will also be stamping and using markers! A fun time will be had by all! Throw in a little chocolate on the tables, and we are set!

Each card uses different color combinations, which we will all use at the class. When you take your stamp sets home, you can begin creating with YOUR supplies!

Can't wait to see you on February 8th for the Butterfly Basics Class!

Butterfly Basics - Stampin' Up!

Crafters -

UPDATE: Class has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Ever have one of those days (or nights) that you know you have stuff to do, but you really don't want to do what you have to do? Or am I alone in wanting to play with my crafts?

Well, I received my Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set with its matching Butterfly Thinlits Dies (remember, you can get the Butterfly Basics Bundle and save 15% when you bundle). Anyway, I was getting ready for my Team Meeting on the 31st and wanted to make a Baggie Book set for my friends to make at our meeting. Just one of the projects we will be making that day as demonstrators!

Well, I liked this ser so much, I decided to offer this for my February class! Here's a sneak peak of one of the cards:
Butterfly Basics Card Class in February

Isn't it pretty? Gotta tell you - looks so much nicer in real life! And don't you just LOVE the flower in the center? That is only available for a limited time. It is the Artisan Embellishment Kit. And the little bit of ribbon under the Happy Birthday? Beautiful Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim.

When you attend my Doughnuts and Cards Class on Saturday, January 24th, YOU can see all of the cards in person!

You can see my class schedule HERE and I've added an online payment option for the Butterfly Basics Class Fee. UPDATE: Class has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Contact me if you have any questions!
