Still here in Michigan! This fun weekend goes through tomorrow - SATURDAY! YEAH!
My mom was able to stay most of the summer with us so I conned, I mean asked, if she wanted to go to this mini Convention with me. Guess what she said - YES! Aren't moms just wonderful? Especially when they are crafters too!
So... how about a peek at HER Shoebox Swap card from last night?

Pretty, huh? She has such a good eye! First, I'll let you in on all the supplies she used, then a little story about the ribbon!
Now, a little backstory about the ribbon. Mom's initial design didn't use the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. But, it made the card really cute! And she wanted a little pop of color with it. And since the little hole was already there, had to use some ribbon, right? Well... I have SO MUCH RETIRED ribbon, it really is quite sad. But, she decided that she liked some of my old Real Red ribbon. Yeah... guess what color I DIDN'T have?! You got it! I called about 10 local demonstrators - you know who you are - thanks for looking! I found one demo who had about 4 yards on a roll, and a friend/demo who had about 4 yards on a roll, but... yeah... not enough! Each card uses about 12 inches of ribbon. What to do? What to do?
Many of you know how much I absolutely ADORE the Rich Razzleberry color. YUP! So I had almost a full roll, still not enough! Thanks to ANOTHER friend of mine, she actually had TWO rolls that we traded. The barter system is alive and well with Stampin' Up! demonstrators!
Thanks so much ladies for helping us out! Hope you enjoy Mom's card (and the backstory!).
