Pelotonia 2014 FUNdraiser / 3-4-5 Card Class

Many of you know my husband Paul. Salt-of-the-Earth, sweetheart of a nice guy, and my best friend. You can see what a nice guy he is by reading about how he went with me in April 2013 to Salt Lake City to attend an SU! Regional with me. That blog posting is here. What a GREAT guy, huh? Did you notice? He even wore a Stampin' Up! shirt too!

And, in case you didn't know, my husband is an AVID cyclist. When we met several years ago, he was averaging about 10,000 miles on his bicycle annually. 10,000 miles!!!! Some people put that on their cars! Hubby puts the hammer down and flies when he is on that bicycle! Remind me to tell you the story about him and me riding a century (a hundred miles!!!!) BEFORE we married. The basics are - He is such a strong cyclist, I stopped pedaling going up a rolling hill and was done. He placed his hand on my bicycle seat, while he was on my left cycling on his own bicycle, and he pedaled BOTH OF US up this hill. Yeah - I was impressed too! And I finished the last 20 miles under my own steam. With my best friend by my side.

To add to this background, Paul lost his father to cancer when he was in high school. Fast forward a few years and Paul's mother became a breast cancer survivor. Stupid cancer found BOTH of his parents. As you can imagine, fighting cancer and cancer research are tops on his list! Every year since its inception, Paul has participated with Pelotonia. You can view is Rider Profile here.

Now, fast forward to earlier this evening. The boy, hubby and I were walking the dog. The boy was talking about, when he is a little older, that he might like to do Pelotonia with Paul. When the fundraising part came up, the boy came up with ideas to mow yards, ask the grandparents/friends/family for donations, and I told him that I could also have a card class with the profits going to his account for the donations. But he thought he could earn the money for the donations. What a GREAT kid huh? I am blessed many times over...

So, since I had already thrown the idea out there to have a card class, the three of us thought it would be a good idea to do the card class THIS year for Paul's FUNdraising! With that in mind, FOR ONE DAY ONLY - JULY 26TH, I am bringing back my old 3-4-5 card class. The hours are 9a-3p.

You reserve your spot by sending your $5 by July 19th. There will be a NUMBER of different cards, card designs, different colors, etc. at THIS 3-4-5 card class. You will make 3 cards for $5 - 3-4-5! Once you are here, if you want to make additional cards, you can do that! Each 3 cards that you make that day will be $5. (Please bring your favorite adhesive. I will have SNAIL available for sale if you forget.)

***WANT to get a FREE extra card? Preregister to make 10 cards for $15!***
All PRE-payments must be received by July 19th.

Some items that have already been completed, including cards and gift sets, will also be available for sale.

Light refreshments will be served - feel free to bring your favorite beverage - with a covered lid! There will be drawings and fun throughout the day!

All participants will be entered into a drawing for an ORIGINAL Paper Pumpkin Starter Kit. This kit is no longer available and is one of my absolute favorites! The drawing will take place at 2pm. You do not need to be present to win. We can work out a date/time for you to get your prize.

Can't wait to see you here!
