Stampin'Up! announced they were going to do this "Online Extravaganza" from November 23rd through November 30th and that more details would be posted on November 23rd. I just went online to find out the details - again WOW!!!
They have card bundles, they have scrapbooking bundles, they have stamp sets, punches. They have 30% off, 40% off and even 50% off! Who doesn't love a good sale like this?! Especially before Christmas!
You have a couple of choices. You can place the order online, make sure you select a demonstrator so you can receive the "preferred pricing" (yes, you can select me!) and place your order through the Stampin'Up! online store. The other option is to contact me directly with your order and I can place your order. If you go through me, I can have your order shipped (to you or to me) and you will still receive the extra freebies you get when you place an order through me. It is whatever is convenient for you, especially with the holidays approaching. (FYI - the minimum shipping is slightly higher through the online store.)
GO! I've just spent the last 30 minutes looking through the specials! Have fun and have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!
Sunday, November 22, 2009
More information will be posted tomorrow on the SU! site. (Remember you'll save money by selecting a demonstrator.)
Call or email me if you have any questions.
Saturday, November 21, 2009
I will also have the new Occasions Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration (SAB) brochures available for you to look through. Don't forget, SAB begins on January 5th and continues through March 31st! Contact me if you have any questions about SAB - basically, for each $50 merchandise order that is placed during those dates, you can earn free merchandise. The SAB products are only available until March 31st. After that, they are gone - Stampin'Up! only makes those products available during this limited time. If you are thinking about becoming a demo, SAB is the best time to sign up too - you earn a FREE stamp set and there is a cost savings during SAB on the SU! Starter Kit.
AND, for each customer order over $25 placed during this Open House, I'll pay your 10% shipping costs. This offer is only good on orders that are shipped to my home and does not include workshop orders. By placing the order that evening (December 12th), the orders SHOULD be here before Christmas. If it is a Christmas gift, I'll even gift wrap it and deliver it to you. (**NOTE: You are still responsible for all applicable sales taxes. The 10% shipping charge will be removed from your total figure.)
If you have a loved one that is not quite sure what to get for you for Christmas, I also offer Gift Certificates. You can give me names, phone numbers, and/or email addresses and I can contact them directly. If you'd prefer to send me a "Wish List," I can let them know that too!
Hope to see you on the 12th!
We really have so much to be thankful for, don't we? I don't usually send out Thanksgiving cards, but this year - well I actually made a few of them. I used a couple of retired SU! stamp sets - Grand Cornucopia and Country Blessings. Also used the new set Teeny Tiny Wishes - LOVE how that set works with the word window punch!!!! Fits perfectly! YEAH!
The inside of the card says "Give thanks and in all things be grateful." That really should be my new mantra...

Here are some of the cards I have been working on this past month. The Christmas card with the trees is the one we did at Scrapbooking night for the shut-ins. The purple birthday card is one we are going to do THIS Friday evening. The other two are ones that I did at Summerville today. In September, Geneva and Nina went with me to make albums at Summerville. Today, Tom met me at Summerville and helped! Aren't friends wonderful?!

Actually, I have been getting ready for a Crafts Fair. As many of you know, I participate in an annual Crafts Fair at Cypress Wesleyan. This year, it is on Saturday, November 7th. I'll be there from 9a-3p. I will have a few (or maybe more) of my retired stamp sets and retired papers for sale at the sale.
I'll have plenty of cards and gifts available too. Hope to see you there!

Made these notebooks for my son's birthday celebration. I placed each child's initial on his or her notebook and used the Top Note Die for the bag topper. Handwrote each child's name on the topper. The LOVED the notebooks, but the bubble gum was the BIG hit! :) So easy, so fast, so useful!
If you'd like to make this type of notebook for YOUR use, contact me!

WINNER ALERT! Pam Sargent designed this card and used all SU! products, including the scallop punch, ribbon, pretties kit and more!
WAY TO GO PAM! I'm SURE your granddaughter will LOVE receiving this card (I know I would) - what a cheerful and happy card!
Job well done, Pam - thanks for sharing your gifts and talents with all of us!
I wonder what our next Dames Challenge/Contest will be... hmmm....

AND when I arrived at the Detroit airport, I saw another fellow demo had several bags. One of them was LAST year's Convention bag, which I also have and LOVE! Anyway, I walked with her to get one of those carts. You will NEVER guess who it was. I had only seen her work on one of the on-line groups that I belong to. AND after arriving home, I found that she and another demo also had won the Heart of Stampin'Up! Award for their work with the SUDDEN_response network (SUDDEN_response is a group of almost 300 demonstrators who stand ready to reach out and help other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who've had major damage and loss to their stamping spaces and supplies following disasters - fires, hurricanes, floods, tornado's, etc.). Yes! AND, well there's really no more ANDs... her name is Gretchen Barron. She was just a phenomenal person to meet. She was kind enough to pose with me for a picture and here it is.
Now, I just hope that some of her creative gifts and talents have rubbed off on me! :)

You are going to have to lean your head to the right to view the new Stampin'Up! Build-a-Bear. Isn't she adorable! The little stamp, only available with the bear, says "life without stamps...unbearable!" And the ribbon is one of the InColors.

So, here are my 2009 Convention cards - what do you think? Still up, yes it is 11:00pm the night before Convention and I am still packing! Who'd-a-thunk?
The green card uses the Top Note Die - and is SO STINKIN' EASY! I used Sage Shadow Craft Ink with clear embossing powder on the front of the card. And used Handsome Hunter ink on the back of the card. A gift card fits very nicely in this card. (For those that attended the second class for the Christmas in July class - this card should look familiar to you. I modified it slightly for my Convention swaps.)
The robot card uses Bravo Burgundy, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Naturals White papers. I did a little watercoloring, some brads, pop-dots and viola! A kid's card (ok, maybe for adults too...).
We are picking Geneva up at 4:45 am for our EARLY morning flight. We should be in Salt Lake City around lunchtime.
I'll post more tomorrow. Have a GREAT day and enjoy!
Sunday, August 2, 2009
I will be headed to Salt Lake City, Utah on Wednesday for my second Convention with Stampin'Up! I will be bring my netbook and will be posting while in Utah. Please check for updates while I'm there!
The new mini is effective September 1st, please call or email me if you'd like a copy. There are new sets, a couple of new HOSTESS sets, and some GREAT new stuff in it (all I'm gonna say is "Build a Bear").
Call or email me to set up a workshop!

Here are a few of the cards that I made for my Quarterly Downline meeting. The Petite Pansies card (Birthday Wishes in Old Olive) can also be seen on page 170 of the Idea Book & Catalog. One of the BEST selling points for the Simply Sent Card Kits - the design is already done for you - I think that is the hardest part. This card will be part of the Shoebox Swap. The Herb Expressions card (Thyme card with butterfly) uses some of the new InColors - Melon Mambo, Soft Suede (LOVE IT!), and the new Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. This card will be part of the Shoebox Swap. The last card is the card front I did for our swap. Again, I'm using another design from the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, but this time I paired it with Pale Plum and Rich Razzleberry - you should see how great it looks IRL. Don't you love how the Word Window punch fits perfectly with the new Modern Label punch? Me too! Enjoy!
Friday, July 17, 2009
The cards are all ready to go for 12pm! We will be embossing, we will be using pastels (chalks), we will be using punches, ribbon, eyelets, brads - you name it and it is probably on ONE of the EIGHT card designs!
14 hours and counting...
See you soon!
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
The class from 12p-2p is now full! There are still openings in the 3p-5p class.
IF you are currently scheduled for the 12p-2p class and would like to transfer to the 3p-5p class, let me know. Both classes WILL be offered.
Remember, we will be doing different cards at each of the classes. For example, one of the cards featured in the 12p-2p class will be a free-standing pop-up card (make SURE you bring sticky strip). The 3p-5p class will feature a pocket card using the Top Note die cut, exclusive to Stampin'Up! (again - sticky strip will be needed for this project too!). BOTH classes have GREAT card designs, if I do say so myself. :)
You will need to bring plenty of your regular adhesive (I recommend SIX). Sometimes the tape runners break, glue sticks run dry, or you just get a "bad" one. This is the REGULAR ADHESIVE NOT the Sticky strip - you will only need a small amount of the Sticky Strip. If you have a partial roll, you should be fine.
Look forward to seeing you on the 18th!

Today is Independence Day. Please celebrate (responsibly, of course! ) and enjoy your families and friends.
If you get a chance this weekend, feel free to make a Patriotic card - there are a NUMBER of veterans, current military members, friends, and families who would enjoy receiving a handmade card.
Here is a beautiful poem, about our U.S. Flag, penned by Ruth Apperson Rous, entitled "I am the Flag". With so many flying their flags this weekend, I felt it included such nice thoughts that I would share it with you. I hope you enjoy reading it: http://www.usflag.org/i.am.the.flag.html
To so many, our U.S. Flag represents our freedoms and the men and women who so proudly serve so that we may celebrate those freedoms.
Thank you to all for everything you do!

Saturday, June 27, 2009
The card classes are starting to fill up. Please remember to send me a note with your check about which embossing powder you want, when you sign up for BOTH classes.
Because these cards a little more involved, I am closing the class when I reach 8 paid participants. Card kits will be available after that.
Hope to see you on the 18th! Remember, you must RVSP by Wednesday, July 1st in order to receive the FREE embossing powder. Your payment is your RSVP.
Saturday, June 20, 2009
Here are the cards we made today for the Thoughts and Prayers card class. We also made a box so that this can be given as a gift. It is NEVER too early to start working on Christmas gifts. :)
You can click on the photo to enlarge the card. All cards used SU! Very Vanilla, Kraft and Not Quite Navy cardstock.
We had a LOT of fun with this class. Hope you can join us for the next one!
Are you ready to make Christmas cards?
As I promised earlier in the week, here are the details for the Christmas in July classes. These will be offered on Saturday, July 18th, and are currently scheduled at my home.
Because of the number of people attending my card classes, I'm going to try something different this time. IF there is enough interest, there will be a second class offered. Each class will NOT be offered with less than three (3) paid registrations.
The first class is from 12p (noon) until 2p. 4 card designs, 4 of each card (total of 16 cards with envelopes), for a cost of $25. Cost does not include adhesives. This class (12p-2p) will NOT be offered with less than three (3) paid registrations.
The second class will be from 3p-5p. This class will use same/similar stamp sets, however, they will be different designs/colors. 4 card designs, 4 of each card (total of 16 cards with envelopes), for a cost of $25. Cost does not include adhesives. This class (3p-5p) will NOT be offered with less than three (3) paid registrations.
REGISTER FOR BOTH CLASSES BY JULY 1ST and receive a FREE embossing powder ($5.58 value with shipping and tax!). Both classes must be paid at the same time and you must list which embossing powder at that time. Please remember that your payment is your registration. (FYI - the same person must attend both classes - this cannot be split between two people.)
* For each class, you will make 4 card designs, 4 of each card (total of 16 cards with envelopes), for a cost of $25. Cost does not include adhesives.
* One card design will include embossing.
* One card design will include VersaMark and pastels (chalks).
* Each class is a separate card class. What that means is... the cards will not repeat. You will have different card designs if you attend BOTH classes. This may include different stamp sets/different colors, but it will DEFINITELY include different card designs. So, if you take BOTH classes, you will have EIGHT different designs.
* We will be using at least two NEW Christmas stamp sets from the NEW catty!
* DO NOT WEAR GOOD CLOTHES! I will have some aprons, but you will not want to wear white or really good clothes for this class.
* You will need to bring your Crafter's Kit (see below) and LOTS of adhesive and REFILLS!!!
* Your payment is your RSVP.
* RSVP by Wednesday, July 1st.
Please list your first choice (12p-2p OR 3p-5p) with your payment. IF less than SIX (6) paid registrations, there will only be one class from 12p-2p. The classes will NOT be offered with less than three (3) paid registrations for that class.
Your Crafter's Kit should include adhesive and refills (bring at least 6 refills for each class), pop-dots, sticky strip, scissors, bone folder (if you have one), and your own personalized or "handstamped by" stamp. A notepad and pen are also handy. Remember, if you sign up for BOTH classes, you will need at least 12 refills for your adhesives. (You probably won't use that many, but sometimes the refills jam or break. And you will want to assemble at least one card while you are here. Bring enough so you can put them together. Adhesive refills will NOT be available for sale - it is against SU! rules for Cash-and-Carry.)
If you have any questions, please contact me BEFORE you register!
Monday, June 15, 2009
I will post more details later, but keep your calendars open for Saturday, July 18th. I'll offer two different classes on that day - one from 12p-2p, the other from 3p-5p. They will both use similar/same stamp sets, but the colors and designs will be different.
I'll post later in the week with the additional deets!

Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. I'm REALLY new to this. The calendar on the screen doesn't work (yet!), and I'm planning on adding some cards, some older/retired stamp sets for sale, and a few other ideas.
If there is a technique or something you'd like to try, let me know. Sale-a-Bration is going on now and it is a GREAT time to qualify for some WONDERFUL and FREE hostess gifts!
And for those that participated in the adhesive bulk buy - it came in last night. Make sure you email or call me, so we can get together to get those to you. I'm down to one HUGE box, with lots of bags inside...
I saw a tag line once and really like it, so I'm going to adopt it as mine. "If there is ink on my fingers, there's a smile on my face." I think that fits. What do you think?
Check back as this is new and I will be adding content.
Upcoming Classes and Meetings:
